Meet Stella! Stella is a sweet dog that loves to play and is very dog friendly. Basics: She is a spayed female guessed to be around 2 yrs old and she weighs close to 40lbs. She is currently in a foster home in Kansas City, MO. Adoption Process: - Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee is $160. It helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. Shylow, sweet pup she was dumped along with 3 other siblings. I am looking for a good home where she will be trained. Right now she is full of energy and eager to learn. Shylow is potty trained. We need some one experienced to provide a secure yard and Plenty of exercise. Shylow, is friendly towards other dogs. I know she would be a great family dog. My husband and I are getting up there in age so we can't keep her for our own. We are not sure about the age? Shylow has had her Rabies shot. This sweet, girl was left behind at my elderly grandmother’s home by a cousin who was unable to take care of her. I am helping to find her a home as my grandmother is not able to. She has been living with me and my two dogs and has been a joy to be around. If I didn’t already have two large dogs, I would have kept her in a heart beat. She is a sweet, cuddly, funny dog! You can’t help but love her. She absolutely adores kids and would be a constant companion to one. She is a little unaware of her size, so she would need some work with toddlers and not knocking them over. She also loves other dogs and is ready to play at all times! I’ve never had a dog walk so well and easily on leash. She has jumped a short chain link fence before chasing a squirrel so a privacy fence would be ideal. Besides that she is an easy addition into anyone’s home!

Mahogany is 3 years old. We got her from the shelter when she was just a baby. She’s quiet but her presence is definitely noticed! She’s so sweet and loves all the cuddles! Mahogany is very patient with my toddler and also her Shepherd sister who likes to herd her around always. She will take your shoes if you let her. Though I do feel like she’d love to stay with her sister, I do believe Mahogany would thrive on her own. She loves the dog park, and also enjoys the water!

(NOTE: PLEASE REACH OUT ASAP AS I HAVE TO MOVE OUT IN 2 WEEKS) My dog is a very quiet and gentle creature that is very well house-trained. She loves people a bit too much and will get excited and, sniiff and lick anyone top to bottom if given the chance. She has been fully vaccinated and on flea, tick, heartworm prevention throughout her time with me. She walks very well on lease but I haven't trained her off-lease and will chase squirrels off lease. She will make a great companion dog for any family due to her mellow nature and she can match the energy fellow human and IMO she will find a family very quickly due to here gentle and house-trained nature. The only "hard" maintenance about her is that she SHEDS a truckload of white fine hair all around the house. I would have wanted to keep her as my life-long pet because she is that great but my moving out of country really makes it impossible for me to take her with me.
