I am a sweet 9 month old. I am about 53 pounds. I am so much fun! Being young, I have some puppy energy. I love to run and play. I love toys and can entertain myself. I have lived with men, women, an 8-year-old and two elderly shih tzus. I have not been around children under 6 but do well with children over 6. I haven`t met a cat. I love car rides, baths/grooming, and nail trims. I am housetrained and crate trained. I know sit and shake. I would love to lean more. Can you help me? Some of my favorite things are running and playing fetch. Do you need a running buddy? I would love to join you.I love other dogs. I enjoy playing by bouncing around, light wrestling, and chase play. I would do well with most dogs. I am not into a lot of body contact. Run and chase is my favorite play style. Do you have a dog that likes that as well?I would love to meet you. Will you stop by soon?Love, Otto

My Friends at Wayside say: - Don`t let my age fool you, I still have a lot of energy!- I love all kinds love toys!- I already know some commands! My home needs are: -Wayside recommends bringing your children 9 years old and younger out to meet me before adoption to make sure they enjoy my enthusiasm for life!Hiya, I’m Bunny! I’m a 10-year-old lab lady who proves that age is just a number. I still have plenty of pep in my step and a fun, energetic personality that keeps life exciting. Don’t let my age fool you…I love to move, play, and enjoy every moment to the fullest! One of my favorite things in the world is playing with other dogs. I’m social, playful, and always ready to join in on the fun, never letting my years slow me down. When I’m not busy playing, you can usually find me enjoying my other favorite things: treats (yes, please!), toys of all kinds, and spending quality time with my people.I’d do great in just about any home as long as I get the attention, exercise, toys, and love I deserve. I thrive when I’m included, engaged, and showered with affection. And don’t worry because I promise to give that love right back.If you’re looking for a joyful, spirited companion who brings energy, smiles, and a whole lot of heart, I might be the Bunny you’ve been waiting for. Come meet me and let me show you how much fun a “senior” pup can be! Love, Bunny

Location:Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: -I’m smart and food/treat motivated.-My previous owner said that I am house-trained.-I love to stick by my people for comfort and support. My home needs are: -I need a home without other dogs - I prefer having your attention all to myself!-New people and things make me a little nervous. Wayside recommends that I have a quiet, low traffic home. -Wayside recommends no apartments or shared living spaces for me, please! I like to use my voice when I am excited.Hi there, I’m Hawthorne! I am the sweetest boy, who wants nothing more than to be pet and cuddled and doted on. I love being by your side and soaking up every single ounce of attention that you give me. I know what it means to be a beloved member of a family. I want that again. I hope maybe I can bring a little extra sunshine and joy to your life simply by being your dog.I’m a handsome, 6-year-old, 67-pound Lab mix, with a bright smile, gentle, soulful eyes, a heart of gold, and a happy, lovely personality. I’m already housebroken, too. I could stand to lose a few pounds, so I hope you’ll help me out with that, by feeding me nutritious meals and helping me stay active with daily exercise. I was first transferred to Wayside 3 1/2 years ago from a rural shelter in Louisiana that didn’t have space for me, and I was quickly adopted by the nicest family. Sadly, they’re no longer able to take care of me. I’ve had a good life, though, and I miss them. Above all else, they want me to find another wonderful family to spend the rest of my life with. That’s what I want too.My previous family shared so much great information about me. I was so loved and I gave unconditional love in return. I’m a typical friendly, silly Lab who loves everyone I meet. My previous home included men, women, and teens, all of whom I adored. I was happy and excited to greet visitors, simply eager to make new friends. I was well behaved and able to free roam in my home even when no one was around. I was always ready for snuggles and to give soft kisses. I liked treats and chew toys and my favorite blanket. My mom loved it when I would “talk” to her. I liked to bring her as much companionship as she brought to me. It comforted me just to be around her and she felt the same about me.Here at the shelter, I’m feeling sort of confused and stressed and lonely, which makes sense, when you think about the changes I

Story
Pet Location: Griffin is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet him, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816)986-4426.My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Waifs with Wisdom. This is a program for dogs to learn basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs.- I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter!- I will make a good companion in a variety of homes.Hi, I`m Griffin,I was adopted as a puppy but recently came back as my owner could no longer care for me. I`m just shy of two years old and weigh in at 55 pounds. I was really struggling to be back in the shelter, so my foster parents are giving me a break from the shelter. I am back at the shelter on weekends. They have found I am house broken if kept on a schedule. I love to snuggle with them on the couch. I even get to sleep with them. What a treat! We are working on loose leash walking while I am here. I will play fetch with them if they want to. I don`t bring toys to them but want to keep them in shape so am willing to do my part.I have lived with men, women, and kids age 0-3. I did well with all but was too energetic for the toddler. My owners described me as friendly, high energy, excited, and loving. I have never lived with other animals. I know sit, look, touch and am working on down. Can you teach me more?My favorite things are snuggling, exploring, and free treats. I am a social and fun guy with other dogs! I was a bit unsure of my environment when I first came in and spent my time coexisting. After a few minutes I would warm up to offer some light bounces with the other dogs. I would do best with other polite dogs that can give me time to warm up to them.I would make a great running or hiking buddy. Are you looking for company as you run? I would love to join you. I can’t wait to meet you!Love, Griffin
