Story
Dani is a beautiful yellow lab who is around 2 years old. Typical of the breed Dani is higher energy and will need an active family. She is house and crate trained. Dani also knows basic commands and is very treat motivated! Making her the total package! We believe Dani can go to a responsible household with kids, cats or other dogs present. She has been exposed to all and has shown no issues. Dani is pretty jumpy when excited so boundaries and proper exercise will be important if the home has smaller children. ** Dani is up to date on all vaccines and heartworm negative and on preventatives. Her spay appointment is scheduled for the end of May and if adopted prior to alter the adopter must agree to “foster to adopt” until the surgery is completed. The adopter will complete our contract agreeing to these terms and keep her spay appointment as scheduled. INTERESTED? Our adoption application is linked below!

Story
Leah is a 6 year old Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 60 pounds. This girl loves all people and lives to hang out with her foster family. She deserves an adopter committed to making the second half of her life, make her forget the first half. Leah's ideal adopter will let her live a quiet life, basking in your presence. She enjoys a walk, but spends a majority of her time relaxing near her people. Leah is low maintenance and has a gentle demeanor. Leah gets along with other dogs and does well with children. She is crate trained, house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and rides well in a car. Leah lives with cats and did chase them at first, but doesn't after being trained to leave them alone. This wonderful girl would make a great addition to any family! If you are interested in adopting Leah, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.*** April 22, 2024, 8:35 pm
