Meet Goldie! 💛🐾 Hi there! I’m Goldie, a 3-year-old tan Maltese-Yorkie mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. If there’s a lap available, I’d like to be on it, please! I absolutely adore cuddling, affection, and being close to my people. I’m an active, happy girl with a sweet free spirit, but I’m also wonderfully well-behaved. I walk beautifully on a leash, ride like a dream in the car, and honestly, I’m pretty much a dream wherever I go. ✨ I’m great with smaller dogs and I absolutely love kids. In fact, I have that special nurturing quality where you can almost see me keeping a watchful eye on the little ones and making sure everyone is okay. I’d make a wonderful family dog and would love to be part of a household where I can give—and receive—lots of love. Cats, on the other hand… well, I’m not entirely convinced about them. 😹 They always seem like they’re up to something, and I prefer to keep my distance! I’m eager to please, love treats, and am ready to form a special bond with my forever person or family.

Mr. Howell is a really sweet, soft, perfect-sized dog (20 lbs), with grey-brown coloring and an adorable heart shaped patch of white fur on his chest. He’s youthful and playful, but has a chill, low-maintenance personality. He loves toys and is happy to play with his person or entertain himself. He has done very well with female fosters -- coming out of his shell, playing and showing affection. However, men in the household (and our male staff members) still frighten him weeks or even months later. This special boy needs an all female household, preferably with another dog. He needs plenty of time to adjust and lots of help to build his confidence. He will reward your patience with endless love.
