Story
Pixie **Available for Foster-to-Adopt** Malti-Poo · 4 months · 9 lbs
Arriving via Flight to LGA | Arrival date TBD
Meet Pixie — the most adorable little soul to ever trade California sunshine for New York City sidewalks. This cream-coated charmer, believed to be a Malti-Poo, is a young pup who has already figured out the most important thing: she doesn't need to see the world to absolutely love it.
Pixie was born blind — and honestly, you'd barely know it. She navigates her world with confidence, guided by an extraordinary sense of smell and hearing that make her remarkably in tune with everything and everyone around her. No limitations, no hesitation. Just a puppy who has figured out her own way of doing things, and does them beautifully.
After finding herself in rescue on the West Coast, Pixie caught the attention of a wonderfully generous flight chaperone who's making her cross-country debut possible. From the Pacific to the Empire State — this tiny girl is ready for her next big chapter. And being as young as she is, she'll acclimate to new surroundings faster than you'd ever expect. Puppies are resilient that way. Pixie especially so.
She's on the hunt for her perfect family in NYC — someone who will meet her where she is, learn her language, and let her fill their home with the kind of quiet, sweet joy that only a dog like Pixie can bring. She may experience the city differently than most, but something tells us she's going to love every single smell of it.
Note: No additional photos, video or information about Pixie is available at this time. Learn more about the foster-to-adopt program.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
To apply for Pixie, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
**If placed outside of the 5 boroughs, must be willing to transport Pixie back to NYC for veterinary care and/or adoption events.**
Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.
