Story
Roberta is located in Puerto Rico, and she is bonded with her daughter, Ginger! Roberta (mom)- we think she is a pug and chihuahua mix! Ginger (daugher) - we think she is a Maltese and Rusell Terrier mix! Roberta (mom) At just 3 years old and 15 pounds, mom is the perfect mix of gentle, loving and playful. Ginger (daugher) At just 1.5-year-old and 13.6 pounds, she is also the perfect mix of gentle, loving and playful. They spend their days following each other around, soaking up belly rubs, joining in playtime, or simply cuddling besides them. Their sweet, patient personality makes them wonderful family companions They are incredibly affectionate, enjoys being with their people, and are the happiest when they are included in everyday family life. Whether it's walk around the neighborhood, a lazy afternoon on the couch, or story time with the kids, they are just happy to be by your side. If you are looking for a perfect duo, loyal best friend with soulful eyes, mom and her baby girl are ready to find the forever family they have been waiting for. Story
Blondie's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Blondie's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=008713) to learn even more about Blondie! Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Blondie is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Oh hi! I'm Blondie, the sweetest girl you can imagine. Life's been a rough road for me and but I'm doing great now thanks to the help of my foster mom, the very nice vet team at Muddy Paws Rescue, and 15/10 Foundation that offered to pay for 2 of my medications FOR LIFE! I have had a few temp fosters when my full-time foster mom had some busy work days and I'm happy to report they said I was "an absolute angel" and "so youthful for being 13". I love having my humans by my side. I'd love to have a forever home where I can relax, play, and keep you company as your little blonde shadow. Even though I am a senior girl, I still have plenty of pep. (See the comment above from one of my temp fosters!) I even do some zoomies and hops, especially after a bath! There's a video of me do that. I love to follow my foster mom everywhere. We really enjoy going on our walks together around our quiet neighborhood. If I see a dog while I'm on a leash, I bark so they know I'm there. That's really the only thing that phases me. I might be open to sharing a home with another dog if we do a meet and greet, and we get along. I like to have cozy beds to nap in, space inside to roam around, and I'm a total chow hound - I absolutely love my food and am always looking forward to meal time! I'm looking for a loving retirement home to make my last chapter the best of my life!

Story
Meet Apollo | Apply Here | Videos Apollo is a 2 year old Malti-poo weighing just about 8lbs. He was rescued alongside some of the other littles you’ve seen this month at an illegal puppymill in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. This little one is a fire cracker! He can be a little shy at first as he gets his bearings. Totally fair with how small he is and how large the world is! Once he’s settled into your home though he’s a hoot. Apollo gets zoomies often and loves a good game of chase. He’s quickly adapted to all of the toys his foster has to offer and seems to know he deserves all of the fun this new life offers. Apollo is continuing to work on his crate and house training, but he’s a very motivated little dude! A good routine will have him in tip top shape and make him a well rounded and confident pup.   You don’t have to wait for an adoption event. In-person meet-and-greets are available in the NYC area, with virtual meet-and-greets available for adopters outside NYC.   Meet Us at Our Next Adoption Event Where: Just Food for Dogs Williamsburg - 625 Driggs Ave When: Sat Oct 31st Time: 1-4pm   Learn more about our adoption process: www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-procedures www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-faq   Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters. Story
Tanya - 2 years & 15lbs, Maltese/Poodle Mix, Spayed  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Level of dog ownership experience required:BEGINNER – “Beginner” doesn’t necessarily mean easy as all dogs will require time, work, and patience, but we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale because of their breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup.  Energy level:MEDIUM – Needs a daily 60 walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Okay in the city?We don’t know yet because this pup is brand new to us. Most adult dogs do well in the city after they’ve had time to adjust to a new environment, but some never adapt and need homes in the burbs. Potty trained?Probably! Adults usually are, but all will have transitional accidents for the first week or so. A consistent walking route and schedule plus finding spots with grass or dirt can help. Social with other dogs?Yes, but we don’t know to what degree yet. Some like to wrestle with every passing pup, others can coexist well but prefer to keep to themselves. We’ll learn more soon. Social with cats? Not sure yet! Some breed mixes that are generally NOT great matches for homes with cats include large hounds, huskies, and shepherds.  Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)We’re not sure yet, but we try to err on the side of caution. Respectful kids ages 8 and up are probably a safe bet. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age carefully. Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from Tennessee or Puerto Rico; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How did this dog end up with Social Tees? Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses. This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc ##2878796##

Becky - 2 years & 12lbs, Maltese/Terrier Mix, Spayed  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Our Team Says: " Becky needs a home outside of the city, she's not meant for the city life. We really want her with another dog buddy that can help her show the ropes."  Level of dog ownership experience required:JUST A REALLY PATIENT SOUL – Becky is a special fluff. She's extremely shy and is learning how to be a dog. She needs a lot of time to get comfy and a lot of grace. She's very gentle. We know there's a very special lady inside of her you're just not going to see it for a while. If you're okay with that, then this girl is for you. If you want a golden retriever personality on day one - not the girl for you.  Energy level:Lower  – Needs a daily 30 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Energy Level- She is very chill but will come by for some affection.  Most of the time she is happy in her doggy bed. Tolerance to City-  Nope. Needs a home in the burbs.  Potty Training-  Slowly getting the hang of it. She's decompressing still. But we know she'll get there. She's starting to pee outside. She only goes twice a day so she's predictable and wants to be a good girl, just feeling a little upside down.  Comfort Level w/ Strangers- While she's still scared and shy, she is not an aggressive dog.  Even in her panic mode, she didn't try to nip or bite at anytime or showed any aggressive behavior.  She is very sweet. Separation Anxiety- Nope, no sep anxiety/ She will sometimes follow me into other rooms when I move, but also fine on her own.  She has been left alone without much hovering the first few days so she can decompress.  She has not barked yet! Leash Manners- She just shuts down and sits and starts shaking or lies down.  Can not get her to walk on the leash yet. Cuddle Bug Level- Medium- Loves snuggles and belly rubs.  Very Sweet. Crate Training- Loved the Crate.  It gives her a sense of safety.  She also loves her doggy beds.  She sleeps well in a crate at night.  Also in the soft carrier in the car.
