Margarita is a 10–11 week old Min Pin mix puppy who was rescued from the shelter at just 7 weeks of age along with her sister Paloma. Margarita has very much established herself as the bold, curious “life of the party” in the pair. If Paloma is the garnish, Margarita is definitely the main pour. Margarita starts her day around 7:00 a.m. when she and her sister wake up ready to go. Mornings are all about action: squeaky toys, ribbons, hallway zoomies, and enthusiastic sister-chasing for a couple of hours before she finally pauses for breakfast (a mix of wet food and kibble). After fueling up, Margarita settles down for a few hours of napping in her x-pen with Paloma. Lunch comes around noon, followed by several more hours of play outside the pen, more exploring, and more wrestling. She naps again in the afternoon, eats dinner at 5:00 p.m., then launches into another round of play before winding down with about an hour of cuddling. She’s tucked back into her x-pen and asleep by 8:30 p.m., having poured every last ounce of puppy energy into her day. Personality-wise, Margarita is curious, courageous, and incredibly smart. From the moment she arrived, she showed herself to be a confident explorer, and that confidence has only grown. She is highly food motivated and will happily solve puzzles, search out hidden snacks, and work through enrichment toys faster than you’d expect from such a young puppy. Margarita is often the first one out of the pen to investigate a new sound or situation, making direct eye contact with her foster human, the resident dog, or even the cat as if to say, “What’s happening, and how can I be involved?” She has a ton of energy and loves chasing her sister— and occasionally her foster human— around the house. Margarita lives with a 20 lb resident dog and is very curious about her. She’s still learning manners and currently expresses her enthusiasm by chasing and occasionally barking at the dog, 'play with me! play with me!' She’s also curious about the resident cat and will chase the cat in playful investigation mode. Everything Margarita does is driven by curiosity and excitement, and she’s learning quickly with guidance and consistency. She is an extremely playful puppy with classic Min Pin confidence and spunk. Margarita loves small squeaky toys and ribbons, enjoys wrestling with her sister, and thrives on interactive play. She’s slightly bigger than Paloma, weighing in at about 6 pounds, and uses that extra size to her advantage during playtime. She’s absorbing new skills quickly and shows great potential for training thanks to her intelligence and food motivation. And once playtime is over, Marg is ready to turn into a precious little cuddle bug, soaking up all the love she can. Margarita is too young for walks and hasn’t started leash training yet. She is currently x-pen trained and is working on potty pad training. Like most puppies, she is teething and can be a bit mouthy first thing in the morning, but she redirects easily to appropriate toys. The ideal home for Margarita is one with someone who has the time, patience, and sense of humor to guide her through puppyhood. She is eager to learn, loves engagement, and will thrive with consistent training, enrichment, and plenty of outlets for her energy and curiosity. What really sets Margarita apart is her fearless curiosity and growing confidence. Add in her expressive face, sharp mind, and love of food puzzles, and you have a puppy who is both entertaining and incredibly endearing. Margarita is a sweet pea with a big personality— shaken, not stirred— and she’s ready to bring a little extra zest, joy, and puppy energy into her future home.January 21, 2026, 1:55 pm
