Story
Hennessy is a tender-hearted senior Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a gentle spirit and soulful eyes who's seeking a second chance after a stretch of heartbreaking challenges. Hennessy has been through a lot—but he’s never stopped being gentle, loving, and full of hope. He and his closest companion, Luna, have spent their lives together as members of a small but loving pet family that also included a kitty named Mia. But when their owner lost her apartment, the little family was forced to live in a car. Now, although their owner has secured a new job and a place to live, sadly, the pets are not allowed to join her. She reached out to us, heartbroken, hoping someone would step forward to give her beloved companions the life they deserve. Hennessy adores people and has a soft spot for cats, but it’s Luna who holds a special place in his heart. Now he is looking for a home full of love, cozy spots, and kind people. He’d love to stay with Luna if possible, but most of all, he just wants to be someone’s beloved boy again. Can you give Hennessy the peaceful retirement he deserves?

Story
Meet Carter, a spirited red Miniature Pinscher with a heart full of energy and charm! Despite his age, Carter remains incredibly spry and loves to stay active, making him a perfect companion for an energetic household. He is highly social and thrives on interaction, always eager to make new friends. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate pup to brighten your days, Carter is the one for you! Here's some notes from his foster: Carter is the sweetest boy! As his previous foster mentioned, "curious" is the best word to describe this busy little guy. He does a lot of exploring around our apartment and is always following us around to see what we're getting up to. He LOVES walks (he knows what that word means for sure) and is able to go very long distances (up to 6 miles so far!) After some adventuring, he is content to sleep and cuddle in his bed or on the couch next to you for the rest of the day - the best of both worlds! Carter has a lot of behavior and energy similar to a puppy. I think some people looking for a senior dog might be surprised at his youthfulness. Carter is a little nervous at first, but warms up easily - he needs a gentle touch at first to gain trust and then will be a big ball of love. Carter has not shown any leash aggression or any other concerning behaviors - we went to a few parks so far as well. He is curious about some dogs on walks and will start heading their direction and has sniffed appropriately, never lunging. For the most part, he is so intent on the walk and whatever is ahead of him that he barely registers many of the dogs we encounter! After only a few accidents the first couple of days, Carter seems to be housetrained He goes right to the door to ask to go outside. We left Carter alone for about 30 minutes and heard no barking - he was calmly laying on the couch when we got back. So far we have gathered that he knows his name, “Sit”, and “walk”! Potentially “treat” as well :) Carter has really started showing us more of his funny personality after being with us for a full week - it is amazing to see how comfortable he has become in our home with a little love. He is so playful and loves to run and be chased in our small yard. He burrows in every blanket he can find. He will be your constant companion and bring such fun and joy to his forever home!!

Story
Looking for the perfect mix of charm, grace, and sweetness? Meet Crayola, a 12-year-old miniature pinscher with a heart of gold and a strut that will steal yours! Always curious about her surroundings, Crayola’s inquisitive nature makes her a delight to watch, especially when she’s motivated by her favorite thing in the world—treats! This elegant senior lady is the ultimate walking partner, showcasing the cutest little walk that’s guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. With plenty of love to give, Crayola is ready to find a forever home that treasures her gentle, loyal spirit. Could she be your next best friend? Here's some notes from her foster: You guys, seriously, you HAVE to meet Crayola. She's the sweetest girl, with this amazing spark! She keeps up with my kid, no problem. They're best buds. And honestly, she loves everyone. Other dogs? Totally cool. Kids? Adorable. Adults? Instant bestie. She met a cat on a leash too and was fine! She's got this funny little wiggle dance she does when she needs to go outside, it's the cutest thing. And she's a champion snuggler. Like, bury-her-nose-in-a-blanket-and-cuddle-up-next-to-you champion. Honestly, after a long day, having her curled up next to you is the best. She's still got tons of energy. We go on walks, she does stairs like they're nothing, jumps on the couch for prime cuddle spots. She's just... easy. A good, chill dog who just wants to be loved. If you're looking for a dog who's already got the whole 'good dog' thing down, who's sweet and loving and just wants to hang out, you seriously need to meet Crayola. She's got so much love to give, and I just know she'd make someone so happy.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $650 Meet the Rock Puppies: Joan Jett, Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, and Stevie Nicks!(Yes, we suspect they have multiple dads—this band is genre-bending in more ways than one.) Straight off their final backyard tour, these 3 month old Schnauzer–Terrier–Min Pin–maybe-who-knows mixes are ready to retire from the spotlight and settle down in loving homes. They're expected to be medium-sized when full-grown—but their personalities are already stadium-sized. Joan Jett (Female, 7 lbs) This punk rock namesake prefers ballads to breakdowns. Joan is the mellow one in the band—easygoing, snuggly, and content to lie by your feet while you work. She makes the funniest gremlin sounds when she plays and would happily give up fame for the sweet rhythm of a home routine. She gets along great with other dogs, politely worming her way into their hearts—and their beds. A true introvert with a social side. Mick Jagger (Male, 13 lbs) All swagger and snuggles, Mick is the frontman of the crew. Confident, charming, and always in motion (until it’s time to dramatically collapse in your lap like he just finished a sold-out set). He plays hard, loves harder, and is a professional cuddler in his downtime. Mick is the perfect mix of energy and affection, with a curly tail and a whole lot of charisma. Janis Joplin (Female) Janis is the free spirit. She's high-energy, goofy, and loves to wrestle, chase, and scale enclosures like she's on stage at Woodstock. She’ll follow her sister Stevie anywhere—and usually ends up in the middle of the action. She’s social, submissive with adult dogs, and ready to make everyone her friend. She’s also a fan of bully sticks, chew toys, and climbing gear (well, technically, playpens). Janis is wild-hearted but oh-so-sweet. Stevie Nicks (Female) The leader of this girl group, Stevie is curious, clever, and a little bit magical. She’s a belly-rub enthusiast, a world-class food sniffer, and an expert in the art of hoarding treats. She’s endlessly entertaining—exploring, climbing, cuddling, and gently bossing her siblings around. She respects her adult dog friends, but definitely tests their patience with her persistent charm. Stevie is bold, loving, and ready to enchant her new family. The Tour Routine These rockstars rise early (even before their roadies—aka fosters). Breakfast hits the stage around 7:30 AM, but they’d gladly eat earlier. Their days are filled with bursts of zoomie-fueled play, tag-team wrestling matches, toy stealing, backyard exploring, and power naps worthy of any post-concert crash. They cuddle hard, play harder, and love chewing on bully sticks while waiting for dinner at 6 PM. TV time on the couch? Count them in. Crate time? Well… let’s just say the crowd isn’t always pleased. They’re working on it—but full crate training will require an encore or two. Potty training is going surprisingly well for a bunch of tiny rebels. With frequent breaks and supervision, accidents are rare. When their foster is away, they hang in their pen with pee pads, soft beds, and toys—unless they've staged a jailbreak (looking at you, Janis and Stevie). Are You Ready to Be Their Biggest Fan?These pups are friendly, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. They’d thrive in homes with other dogs to jam with, or humans who love puppy energy, snuggles, and a little bit of chaos. Whether you adopt one or two, you’ll be getting a bandmate for life. So if you’ve got room in your heart (and your backyard stage), Joan Jett, Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, and Stevie Nicks are ready to rock your world.April 29, 2025, 5:45 am

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $650 *Clover is an option for Foster-to-Adopt!* Meet Clover – Your Lucky Charm! At around 3 years old, Clover has spent the past few months proving what an incredible mama she is. She’s raised her beautiful puppies with love and patience, and now that they’re ready for their own families, it’s finally time for her to be someone’s baby! This affectionate and devoted girl is more than ready to soak up all the love she’s been giving to her little ones—now she just needs a family to give it to her. Clover is the ultimate velcro dog. Wherever you are, that’s where she wants to be! Whether she’s standing by your side while you get ready in the morning, lounging under your desk while you work, or curling up on the couch for snuggles at the end of the day, she just wants to be with her people. And if you forget to give her a good morning pet? She’ll politely remind you with an adorable little whine! She’s a total lovebug and thrives on attention—she just wants all of her favorite humans together. If you’ve ever wished for a shadow that gives kisses and wags its tail when you walk in the room, Clover is your girl! While she loves cuddling up on the couch and keeping you company throughout the day, Clover is always up for a walk. The moment you grab her leash, she’s ready to go! She can get excited and pull a bit, especially if she sees a bird, but she’s learning that walks are even more fun when you don’t have to worry about sudden squirrel-induced detours. When she’s not out stretching her legs, you can find her lounging under the desk or snuggled up in her cozy crate—her safe space. Clover would thrive in a home where she has plenty of love and company. She adores people and wants to be near them as much as possible, so she’d love a family where someone is home most of the time. She can be a little sensitive to loud noises and might need a few extra pets to reassure her when she gets nervous, but her sweet and loving personality shines through in every cuddle session. She would do well with a family who’s willing to be patient as she continues to gain confidence, and she’s already showing interest in playing with other dogs.Clover has also shown that she can be a great companion for other dogs! While she was initially a little shy around her foster sibling, she has since warmed up and even tries to initiate play. She’s a bit of an awkward goof, so a patient dog who can help her build confidence and show her the ropes would be a great match. While she isn’t the most rambunctious pup, she finds comfort in having another dog around, even if it’s just for company. With time and gentle encouragement, she could blossom into the perfect playmate for a resident dog. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your biggest fan, your shadow, and your cuddle buddy, Mama Clover is ready to meet you. She’s been the best mom to her babies—now it’s her turn to be someone’s whole world.April 3, 2025, 7:15 pm
