This 10–12 month old Min Pin/Beagle (Meagle?) mix may have come from a shelter, but you would never know it— he settled into home life like a seasoned pro. Around here, we like to say he’s the best deal in town: low maintenance, high quality, and always ready to brighten your day. No membership card required.   Daily Routine & Lifestyle   Trader Joe starts his mornings bright and early, ready to begin another day of being adorable. Around 7:30 am, he heads out to the backyard for his morning potty break, followed by breakfast at 8:00 am— a meal he approaches with impressive enthusiasm for such a small pup.   During the day, he often accompanies his foster to the salon, where he spends his time greeting visitors, supervising the action, and soaking up attention from everyone he meets.   In the evenings, Trader Joe winds down exactly how you’d hope: curled up on the couch, relaxing nearby and keeping his favorite person company while the day comes to a close.   Personality: A True People Lover   Trader Joe is the definition of a sweetheart. From the very first day in his foster home, he was comfortable, outgoing, and ready to make friends. His tail seems to have only two speeds: wagging and wagging faster.   He is a devoted companion who loves to be close to his people and will happily follow you from room to room just to stay near. He listens well, understands when told “no,” and is eager to please. He’s also quite the cuddler— if there’s a lap, shoulder, or cozy spot nearby, he’ll find his way onto it.   One of his most endearing quirks is his habit of climbing onto your shoulder for no particular reason, as if he simply decided that was the best seat in the house.   Social Skills with Dogs, Kids & Others   Trader Joe has spent time around other dogs, including his foster’s mom’s dog and a friend’s dog. He coexists peacefully with them and shows no aggression, but he clearly prefers human companionship over canine playtime.   He tends to be more comfortable with calmer, smaller dogs and may not enjoy very high-energy or large dogs. His gentle nature makes him a lovely companion for families with respectful children or older adults who would enjoy a friendly, affectionate sidekick.   Play Style & Energy Level   Trader Joe offers the best of both worlds. He is playful and energetic when it’s time for fun, happily engaging in games and activity throughout the day. But once the excitement winds down, he transitions easily into relaxation mode and becomes a content little couch potato.   He doesn’t require long daily walks to stay happy— playtime and companionship go a long way with this easygoing guy.   Leash Skills   Trader Joe is still learning the ropes when it comes to walking on leash. He hasn’t quite figured out the routine yet, but the good news is that he naturally stays close to his person and doesn’t try to run off. With patience and gentle practice, he has all the potential to become a confident walking buddy.   House Training & Home Habits   Trader Joe is largely house trained when given regular opportunities to go outside. He may occasionally have accidents overnight, but he is making good progress and understands the general routine.   He rides comfortably in a crate during car trips and settles nicely.   What Makes Trader Joe Special   What truly sets Trader Joe apart is how easy he is to live with. He is low maintenance, adaptable, and naturally affectionate. He doesn’t demand much— no complicated grooming schedule, no extreme exercise needs— just love, attention, and a cozy spot nearby.   In short, he’s the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into your life and quickly becomes part of the family.   Foster’s Favorite Thing   “My favorite thing about Trader Joe is how much he loves to be close to me. He’ll climb right onto your shoulder for no reason at all—it’s like he just wants the best view in the store.”   And honestly, that sums him up perfectly: sweet, loyal, and always ready to check out right into your heart.April 11, 2026, 3:45 pm

Story
Poppy  is a very sweet girl who loves cuddling and a good walk. She’s a little on the quiet side since she recently discovered her bark. She is a sun seeker and loves to lay in the sunshine in the yard. When she’s excited, her little nub will definitely let you know.   Energy Level?  medium. She loves a good cuddle session, but she also enjoys her time outdoors. She enjoys a good walk. She is walking 20-30 minutes twice a day.  House trained?  Yes.  Describe how they are on a leash?  She does wonderfully.  She loves to investigate, and if she smells ground animals (like squirrels, birds on the ground, etc.) she will pull to investigate. She loves to sniff and explore!  Describe how they are with other dogs?  She’s great with other dogs. Currently living with another dog Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  Poppy has been fostered  with two cats. She’s wonderful as she doesn’t chase them and gives them plenty of space.  Commands they know?  Currently working on “stay” and “touch”.  What are their favorite things?  She loves exploring the backyard and enjoying the sun. She loves a good walk and likes to cuddle.  She also loves a good treat.  What do they need to work on?   Her cues to go outside to potty are very subtle. So we take her out regularly, whether she needs to go or not.  How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  She’s fine left alone. She goes in her kennel and sleeps until we return. She has been left alone for a couple of hours before.  Where do they sleep?  In a kennel.  This is a fairly new arrangement, as she was in a pen before. She also sleeps fine on her bed. What is their ideal home?   Poppy  loves her people, so a house where they will shower her with love would be ideal.  She really enjoys her walks. She’s very sweet and loves a good pet session. If you stop before she gets her fill on pets, she will let you know. She does well with other dogs and cats. Has also been around small children and did wonderfully. Poppy is a great companion. The Adoption fee is $325.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs , please complete our online adoption application at  www.everypetsdream.org/adopt . Story
Hello, her name is star Bella. She’s 10 months old. She is such a playful and happy dog. She loves playing with her toys jumping on me and sitting on my lap. She likes to go outside and walk sniff she’s trained. She will not potty in the house, if you open up the door, she’ll go outside and poop. I’ve never taken her outside without a leash. She normally goes in the backyard and poop and pee very friendly around kids. She’s just adorable. I’m just praying. I can find her a good home. She has had all her shots and she is as a chip she comes with clothes, cage, dog food, and lots of treats

Story
Hennessy is a tender-hearted senior Terrier/Chihuahua mix with a gentle spirit and soulfulbeyes. He’s seeking a second chance after a stretch of heartbreaking challenges. Hennessy has been through a lot—but he’s never stopped being gentle, loving, and full of hope. He and another senior dog, Luna, have spent their lives together as members of a small but loving pet family that also included a kitty named Mia. But when their owner lost her apartment, the little family was forced to live in a car. Now, although their owner has secured a new job and a place to live, sadly, the pets are not allowed to join her. She reached out to us, heartbroken, hoping someone would step forward to give her beloved companions the life they deserve. Hennessy adores people and has a soft spot for cats. Now he is looking for a home full of love, cozy spots, and kind people. Most of all, he just wants to be someone’s beloved boy again. Can you give Hennessy the peaceful retirement he deserves?

Story
** Fee Waived: A kind super fan of Carter has covered his adoption fee, so his adoption is free! *** Meet Carter, a spirited red Miniature Pinscher with a heart full of energy and charm! Carter remains incredibly spry and loves to stay active, but can also hang home alone no problem. This makes him a great fit for any home. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate pup to brighten your days, Carter is the one for you! Carter is: Fine home alone Potty trained Great on leash Here's some notes from his foster: Carter is the sweetest boy! As his previous foster mentioned, "curious" is the best word to describe this busy little guy. He does a lot of exploring around our apartment and is always following us around to see what we're getting up to. He LOVES walks (he knows what that word means for sure) and is able to go very long distances (up to 6 miles so far!) After some adventuring, he is content to sleep and cuddle in his bed or on the couch next to you for the rest of the day - the best of both worlds! Carter has a lot of behavior and energy similar to a puppy. I think some people looking for a senior dog might be surprised at his youthfulness. Carter is a little nervous at first, but warms up easily - he needs a gentle touch at first to gain trust and then will be a big ball of love. After only a few accidents the first couple of days, Carter seems to be housetrained He goes right to the door to ask to go outside. We left Carter alone for about 30 minutes and heard no barking - he was calmly laying on the couch when we got back. So far we have gathered that he knows his name, “Sit”, and “walk”! Potentially “treat” as well :) Carter has really started showing us more of his funny personality after being with us for a full week - it is amazing to see how comfortable he has become in our home with a little love. He is so playful and loves to run and be chased in our small yard. He burrows in every blanket he can find. He will be your constant companion and bring such fun and joy to his forever home!!
