Story
Meet Lilly Doo!  Our adorable apricot Doodle girl who is 14-month-old Mini Poodle with a heart as sweet as her adorable face. This lovely little girl is 35 pounds is the perfect size for cuddles, adventures, and everything in between. She has a wonderful balance of being playful and laid-back, and she loves attention from people of all ages.  Lilly enjoys spending time with other dogs and is wonderful at communicating healthy boundaries. She happily coexists with canine friends and is especially good at teaching younger dogs a thing or two about personal space and polite dog manners. Despite her petite size, Lilly is convinced she's a lap dog and will even do an adorable little dance on her back feet when she's excited to see you. Lilly has a great foundation of training already in place. She knows how to sit, is eager to please, and has done very well with house training, She is potty trained and understands her routine, though she may have an occasional accident if left alone for longer than she's accustomed to. With continued consistency and structure, she will continue to thrive in her home environment. This well-rounded girl has already enjoyed car rides, brewery outings, and plenty of adventures, and she has loved every minute of it. Lilly adapts easily to new environments and takes life's experiences in stride, making her an excellent companion for a family that enjoys bringing their dog along wherever they go. Whether she's soaking up affection, making new friends, or joining in on an outing, Lilly's easygoing and affectionate nature shines through. If you're looking for a loving, adaptable, and charming sidekick who is equally happy snuggled up on your lap or joining you on your next adventure, Lilly may be your perfect match. ❤️ Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 6, 2026, 1:24 pm

(4 years, 30.4 lb) Personality: eager-to-please, timid/fearful, shy, affectionate, loyal, snuggler, easygoing, smart, goofy/funny, gentle, playful Looking for an addition to the family with soft brown eyes and a big heart? Look no further—Milo is your guy! This inquisitive, playful pup loves to explore his world and just wants to please. He’s full of energy, loves his daily walks, and enjoys outside time in the back yard. Milo is working on crate training and house training and is learning to walk on a leash. He’s still learning his name but already knows the words “no,” “sit,” “touch,” “place,” and “crate.” He’s good with other dogs and is especially drawn to children. He can be shy and timid, but he blooms and becomes extremely friendly when he warms up to you. Milo plays well with two other dogs in the home, listens to what they tell him, and obediently stops when playtime is over. He also gets along with the 8-year-old in the home. This cutie pie has a big personality and is waiting to charm his way into your heart. Story
Pip is a sweet and curious pint-sized guy who came to us all the way from a shelter in South Carolina, and now he’s ready for the best part of his story: finding a loving home of his own! Still a very young pup who is learning and growing, Pip is very eager to learn, especially when snacks are involved! He has the personality of a big dog and silly puppy antics. Like all puppies, Pip will need an owner who is ready and willing to provide him with lots of socialization and appropriate outlets for his energy while also hitting the ground running with some basic training. Pip already knows how to sit for treats and is working on “down” and “come.” After everything Pip has already been through in his short life, he is looking for a family where he’ll feel safe, loved and just a little bit spoiled. My Profile Age: 13 weeks Weight: 8 lbs Good with kids: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: No Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes House trained: Working on it! Activity level: Medium-High Special needs: No Meet Me If you are interested in Pip, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page to see if Pip will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. If you are not local to the DMV area, but are interested in one of our adoptable pets, that's okay. If you're approved to adopt, we can work out the geography!

Story
Meet Flossy Can you imagine spending seven years bringing life into the world, litter after litter, puppy after puppy, never once having someone love you back? Never having a soft bed that was yours, a person who was yours, a moment that was simply and completely yours? That was Flossy's life. Seven years as a breeding mom, giving everything and receiving so little in return. She is done with that chapter now. And the dog emerging on the other side of it is something truly worth knowing. Flossy is seven years old and she is learning, one careful step at a time, that humans can be kind and safe. She never learned that before and so she is taking nothing for granted. She tends to warm more naturally to men and has a special fondness for her foster dad, which makes complete sense for a girl who spent her life in circumstances that gave her little reason to trust. Her foster mom does everything for her and Flossy is still working on fully letting her in, which is a good reminder that love on Flossy's terms is the only kind that counts and it is worth every moment of patience it requires. She is sweet and gentle and has a quiet affection that reveals itself in her own time and in her own way. She loves to be close to her people, curled up on the couch or tucked into a bed beside someone she trusts. She can use a crate but she is happiest when she has the freedom to roam and choose her own spot, which is usually as close to her humans as she can get on her own terms. She does an absolutely adorable little circle dance at mealtimes and takes treats with the most gentle softness you have ever felt. She is in there, warm and loving and real, and she is coming forward more every day. She does need to be approached with warning and care, particularly when being picked up. She is learning that hands that reach for her mean safety and kindness, but that is a new concept for Flossy and she needs a home that will honor that with patience and consistency. Flossy is on anxiety medication as she works through the big feelings that come with a life like hers. She needs a secure fence without exception as she is a flight risk outdoors. She thrives in a quiet home away from city noise, quick movements, and the unpredictability of young children. A confident and gentle dog companion in the home would help her feel more settled and secure. She needs an experienced and deeply patient adopter who understands that some dogs arrive already loving you, and some dogs arrive having to learn what love even is. Flossy is the second kind. And the person who earns her trust is going to receive something extraordinary in return. She spent 7 years giving everything she had to a world that gave her very little back. She deserves a home that changes that completely and forever.
