Story
Beetle is a 5-year-old Mini Poodle/Bichon Frise mix (possibly part Shih Tzu) with a big personality and even bigger energy! 🐾 He loves treats, knows a few tricks, and enjoys short games of fetch or being chased around the yard. He’s best suited for a home with a fenced yard or active lifestyle. He thrives when he has room to run and explore. Beetle can be reactive on walks (especially toward other dogs), but with patience and consistency, he settles over time. He prefers slow introductions to new pets. Beetle has a mix of independence and cuddliness, he’ll want attention sometimes, but also likes his space. He would do best with a dog-savvy adopter who understands high-energy dogs and can continue to work with his behaviors. We’re rehoming due to behavioral challenges that no longer align with our home. He deserves a space where his energy and personality are a better fit. We want to choose the right home so he’ll finally get the structure and attention he needs to thrive!

Story
This handsome Miniature Poodle boy is called Wrigley and he is a young 3 year old, 14 pound sweetheart looking for a home.  His life started off with a breeder and he was purchased as a Christmas gift for young children who soon grew tired of the novelty puppy.  They were supposed to take care of him and the parents were not willing to pick up the slack for his care.  The solution was to put this poor 14 pound boy outside on a tie out in the cold elements of Winter.  A neighbor grew so concerned about him and asked if they would give him up to a rescue.  They fortunately agreed and soon this handsome Poodle was in the right hands that could change his life.  He needed to be neutered and it has been done with all other vetting.  Wrigley is a happy boy despite the lack of love and past care.  He seems to have been unfazed that he spent time alone outside and not receiving the real love and snuggles that he so freely gives now to his foster mom. He is housebroken once again and he has left the horror of being on a tie-out far behind.  He is crate trained and we have groomed him just before neutering him.  He has a whole new life ahead of him and we have polished him up to look as dapper as he could before leaving for a new forever home. If you have been looking for a young Poodle to rescue and love then, this is a rare opportunity to get a fully vetted boy with no hidden issues or fears.  He is fine with other dogs, cats and gets along great with everyone he meets. Wrigley was wonderful to the children in the first home even though they did not appreciate him. This treasure is just waiting for a miracle family to love him.  Could that be you?  He is in Tennessee and we transport northward almost every weekend.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 14, 2025, 10:23 pm

Story
❗Current location: in the boarding house in South Korea❗ Meet Teddy👋 This sweet and gentle boy was rescued just in time from the euthanasia list and began his new chapter at a boarding house in April 2025. Despite everything he’s been through, Teddy has a warm heart and a loving spirit. He’s now fully ready to leave his past behind and find a forever home where he can truly belong. Could you be the one to give Teddy the happy ending he deserves? • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Sweet • Affinity with - Dogs: Gentle around other dogs - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with new people, including men / Not tested with kids, but we assume he would be good with all gentle people! • Housetrained: Will need housetraining in a new environment • Walking Manners: Super gentle on a leash as if he had experience in the past. • Bathing/Brushing: Good with both • Separation Anxiety: None in the current boarding house. • Barks/Howls: None • Car Rides: Comfortable with car rides. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No food allergies found so far • Likes/Dislikes: Likes pets and walks! • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: He has a yeast infection in the ears, which is one of the most common types of ear infections, often related to allergies. This usually improves with a bit of care—feeding him an allergy-friendly diet and cleaning his ears at home with ear drops every three days.

Please contact Lowell Nelson (lowelln@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet shy boy seeking love and safety! LYLE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Lyle          Best Guess for Breed: Lab and poodle mix   Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of June 2025         SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight: 26 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!Special adoption considerations: This dog was rescued from a breeding operation that is shutting its doors. He has not been well socialized with new people and has lived his whole life with other dogs.  New noises, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety.  He will need a patient adopter who can give him time to come out of their shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because he is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes. Lyle is Looking For:  His forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world outside of a kennel. One where he is a cherished part of a family. He's very sweet, shy, and SO ready to be a Real Dog. Extra patient and loving humans who introduce him to new places and people at his pace and a welcoming resident dog who will show him how to dog are high on his wish list! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. And one more thing: That type of coat is high maintenance. It needs daily brushing and professional grooming. Mats hurt. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that? An incredibly sweet and grateful dog who gives you all those adoring gazes, all the love and loyalty in his body, for all his days.
