Story
Hi, my name is Georgie.  I’m a fabulous little miniature poodle who is 7 years old, and I weigh 17 lbs.  I’m an awesome little guy who is used to being the center of attention.  I lived with my mom and dad, and then they got divorced so it was just mom and me.  She doted on me; I was too strong when she walked me so she got me a stroller – or carriage, as I prefer to call it.  She took such good care of me, but I got to be too much for her so she let Critter Cavalry Rescue find a foster home for me while I wait for my new forever home. I love my foster mom, but I have to share the attention with 4 other dogs and I do NOT like that at all (and they’re not too happy at me being here).  I’d love to find a couple in their 50’s or 60’s with no other dogs who would make me the center of their universe. I’m ok with older children occasionally, but would prefer a house with just adults.  I’m not being picky (well yes I am); I don’t ever want to go through the loss of my human again.  I know lots of tricks and would love to show you how smart I am.  I can shake hands, high five, lie down, roll over, and stand up and dance.  I am house trained, but will use a pad if I get desperate.  I prefer that you go outside with me and stay with me, or else I will just come inside with you; I need a fenced in back yard so I can do the zoomies outside.  I LOVE to go for walks, and walk well on a leash.  I was a picky eater when I first arrived, but after 3 days I was eating well.  I need to go to the groomer frequently, and need a new family that can afford to take care of me.  After all, I think I am a prince.  I like to be on the couch and sleep in the bed with you.  I demand petting, and will let you know when I’m unhappy.  I hope you have cried and then laughed at what I had to say, and you are now ready to apply to be my true forever family.  I’m neutered and am current on all my shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered to be my forever family and to request an adoption application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported to my forever family upon adoption.)              March 20, 2025, 5:39 pm

Story
This little sweet princess is called Charity and that is just what she needs from the world, some kindness and patience and charity of the heart &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143. This little girl was once a backyard. Breeder dog kept in a garage in a crate with others and not cleaned or groomed for months on end.  Soon the authorities came and took the neglected poodult's away and fined the breeder.  Charity has been with critter cavalry since march sixteenth and she has come so very far.   She is a five year old, nine pound, precious gray and tan Miniature Poodle.   She is navigating the emotional prison that she came from at the breeders home.  She was not out in the world, experiencing grass or blue skies or fresh spring breezes.  She was in a garage that smelled terrible from lack of being cleaned.   Now this girl has a backyard with spring, flowers and grass to run in and is slowly becoming acclimated to noises in the world that most dogs find normal.  She is still not really good on a leash, so we're looking for a home with a fenced yard made to contain a ten pound dog and someone that will slowly but surely teach her that being out in the world is fun and invigorating and a wonderful experience. She is also working on housebreaking schedule. But we are also using pea pads at the moment    She is fully vetted and very healthy and has obviously been shaved down and in a matter of just several months will be the prettiest little poodle, curly haired girl, that right now is one of the best snugglers ever.  She just crazed love and support and patience.   A lap to sit on a bed to sleep in. Perhaps company of another confident dog to show her that the world is not scary or harmful.  We would prefer her to be around older children that know how to keep the noise down and a calm environment.    She really is going to be the perfect little girl at the age of 5 she has so much more life to live as a normal, well-loved princess.   If you would like to rescue this little poodle girl, please write to critter cavalry rescue atccrnewengland@gmail.com &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  she is currently in Nashville, Tennessee, and we transport to the northeastern states every weekend   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 4, 2025, 9:50 pm

Story
Meet Marshmallow, the sweetest softie of a  Miniature Poodle on the planet.  Said to be about 12 years or older,  whorver guessed his age never lived with this spunky, active little guy.  No way does this little guy slow down or hobble?Along like an old man.  In fact, he jumps he begs to get in your lab. He climbs stairs. He just does everything up dog ten years and under would do. He runs and hops around the house like he's half his age. He keeps up with the young dog in the home, chasing and playing, running from room to room and not the senior boy he truly is. When not playing, he happily follows his foster mom around the house and is ready to jump on her lap if she sits down. Marshmallow is a happy boy that loves to snuggle and give kisses. Believe it or not, this boy is the outdoorsy type and loves to lay in the sun and explore the enclosed patio.  He is always up for a good walk on the leash is a champ. When being walked.  Just know he is the curious type and is an observant boy.  If he finds something that interests him he will stop and sit to watch what's going on. If you're missing him in the house, he can likely be found on the back of the couch looking out the front window-not barking, just being nosey. When he's tired, he will put himself to bed in his crate, usually burrowing under the blankets. His favorite place to nap/sleep is with his foster mom. Marshmallow is nithing but a joy to have in your life.  All he wants us love, snuggles, and comfy blankets. Story
Meet Jazzy Jazz Man! This 8 year old 10 lb miniature poodle is a jazzy man indeed.  He is a calm gentleman who is very sweet.  Jazz is not your 7 year old couch potatoe.  He is a very active 8 years old who so cherishes his exercise time.  Jazz is full of energy and he loves to run.  Jazz now has access to a beauitful fenced in area where he happily gets his daily exercise.  He spends part of just about every day burning off his energy.  After that he is ready for a movie or to watch a sporting event.  When on the couch Jazz likes to be right with you.  This calm sweet boy will settle down right beside you.  BUT please remember that exercise is the most important part of his day.  Jazz walks well on a leash and would love to walk with you.  He needs an active family that loves to go and who will take him with them.  He sits like a charm in the car.  Jazz is good with other dogs and OK with cats.  He fits in easily as soon as he had the lay of the land.  He could be fine in a home with a couple or a home with older children.  To learn more about Jazz and to request an application please contact us at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Jazz is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)April 12, 2025, 2:13 pm

Story
At just 9 pounds, 5-year-old Wisteria is as delicate and lovely as the flower she’s named after. But behind her dainty frame is a soul just beginning to learn what love truly feels like. Wisteria spent the first five years of her life as a backyard breeder dog, never knowing the comfort of a home, a soft bed, or gentle hands. For the past 4 weeks, she’s been discovering life in a real home—and slowly but surely, she’s starting to trust it.   Her journey so far:    She’ll sleep by your side once she feels safe She loves playing in a fenced yard and really needs one She’s begun to play and interact with other dogs—it’s heart-melting She’s still scared of leashes, so leash walks aren't possible just yet She’s housebroken with encouragement and a schedule‍&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143‍ She’s painfully shy, but if you’re patient, she’ll come for pets and love   WWisteria becomes a statue of fear in unfamiliar situations, but her bravery grows a little more each day. She needs a calm, committed home—ideally with another gentle dog, a securely fenced yard, and humans who will let her move at her own pace. She’s one of those rare souls who—once she trusts you—will love you deeply and quietly. She just needs time, patience, and a promise that she will never again be discarded or used.   If you're ready to offer this beautiful girl the forever she deserves, please reach out. She’s more than worth the wait.    Text us at 615-661-5333 Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com – don’t forget to include your city and state when you reach out!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 16, 2025, 12:12 pm

This little guy has been through a lot, but his spirit is shining brighter than ever.  Monti was found wandering the streets, scared and scruffy, dodging everyone who tried to help him.  It took a little patience and a lot of cat food to finally bring him to safety. The second we met him, we knew he was something special. Beneath the mats and burrs was a purebred Miniature Poodle with a gentle soul and the most loving eyes you’ve ever seen. After a fresh shave and a spa day (he was perfect for the groomer!), Monti practically glowed. He’s since had his teeth cleaned, been fully vetted, neutered, and crate trained. He's now feeling brand new and so ready for his next chapter.   Monti is: Incredibly affectionate – he loves snuggles and gives the sweetest kisses Great with other dogs and respectful kiddos House-trained and crate-trained Not a fan of cats – he thinks they’re for chasing, not cuddling!   Monti is the perfect mix of playful and chill. Whether it’s a walk in the park or curling up on the couch, he’s happiest just being by your side. This little survivor is ready to give his whole heart to a forever family. Could that be you?
