Story
Animal Profile: Tisane is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs roughly 10lbs. She was found as a stray along with another poodle (Vata) and they were brought into RASKC by a good samaritan. Tisane struggled in the shelter environment and after an unsuccessful adoption, she was transferred over to our care.  Foster Update: After a few days of getting settled in and acclimated, Tisane has shown us that she is a total sweetheart but still nervous and uncomfortable around loud noises or sudden movements. She seems pretty indifferent so far to my dogs; she occasionally shows interest/sniffing but doesn't engage much. She did meet another calm, large breed dog recently and she did great around him! Tisane would benefit from a calm, confident dog in the home to help show her the ropes. At this time, she is pretty anxious when alone and we are working on building up her confidence and working through some separation anxiety. She did well with her bath and is getting a much needed grooming! Tisane has been accident free in our home these last few weeks and has really thrived with a consistent routine. She  We've noticed that Tisane is quicker to trust women but is able to bond with men, just a little slower. This was the case with her previous failed adoption (she bonded to the female in the home but was fearful around the male person). We've been working with her trust around men and my husband is able to take her outside and she will accept a treat from his hand. As Tisane has continued to warm up and hit new strides, she has turned into quite the lap dog! At this time, we are looking for an adult-only, quieter home that can offer the patience to help Tisane settle in and a commitment to helping her continue to grow her confidence.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from euthanasia at [Animal Shelter] in California, arriving to foster care in Seattle on [DATE]. Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 4 year old 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.    Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He catches on to new commands quickly. Ramen would do best in an adult only household, as it takes him time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an owner comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to the grooming needs of his coat.    Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. April 25, 2025, 12:12 am

Story
Animal Profile: Walter is an approximately 2 year old, 16 lb male poodle mix who was originally rescued from San Bernardino, CA. He was adopted and returned back to us when his family could no longer care for him.  Foster Update: Walter is a sweet and cuddly boy with big eyes and a playful personality that will melt your heart. He's food motivated, which comes in handy for his training, including leash training. He continues to improve on the leash, although he still pulls a bit when he locks in on a scent or sees another pup. Walter is most vocal when barking at other dogs, especially when he and his foster bump into them rounding a corner on their walks, but his reactivity is improving every day. He is potty and crate trained -- he just gets a little whiny when he first goes in his crate and when he wakes up in the morning. He knows several tricks and commands, including "roll over," "paw," "down," and "sit." He rarely barks in the home, and when he does it's to get your attention so you'll play with him. Walter is quite active and loves his walks. He gets very excited to go out and jumps impressively high, but quickly calms down with the right guidance from his foster. He also loves playing fetch. But he's also a velcro dog who loves nothing more than being near and cuddling with his human. He's the perfect little sidekick.  While Walter is very affectionate with his foster family, he takes some time to warm up to new people, and he doesn't appreciate strangers trying to pet him. It's important that his forever family can advocate for him when out in public or around new people, as it can be stressful for him to feel like he always has to stand up for his needs. Walter is very smart and may test boundaries within the home or be a bit vocal or mouthy to communicate. It's important that his family can set clear boundaries so he knows what behaviors are and aren't allowed. The more Walter has clear expectations and is advocated for, the more he can thrive. Since he can be mouthy, we are looking for an adult-only home for him. Adoption Info:  Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to the San Bernardino City shelter on Jan 26 and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle arriving to foster care on Feb 4, 2024. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.June 16, 2025, 5:02 pm

Story
Currently in a Seattle foster home Kkukkku is an approximately 7-year-old male mixed breed of Bichon Frisé and Poodle. He once lived a happy life in a loving home but, unfortunately, experienced the heartbreak of being abandoned. Despite this, he still holds deep trust and affection for people and gets along well with other dogs. He is a bright and gentle pup with a warm personality. Having spent a long time in a home, Kkukkku is expected to adapt relatively quickly to a new environment. Currently, he is accustomed to using pee pads indoors in Korea, but he is intelligent and can quickly learn to do his business outside. Kkukkku is affectionate and enjoys bonding with people, finding great happiness in spending time with them. His lovable charm is special enough to capture anyone’s heart instantly. At present, Kkukkku is staying at a training center, living with other dogs, and displaying excellent social skills. Because he loves people so much, he may bark briefly to get attention when someone approaches. Since he struggles with being alone, he would thrive best in a home where someone is always present, ensuring he feels secure and happy. Kkukkku has a friendly personality and approaches strangers without hesitation—he knows how to be loved. He may bark when confined in a kennel or a small space, but this is understandable behavior and not a major issue overall. As a sweet and loving companion, Kkukkku is ready to create happy moments with his new family. He is eagerly waiting for a family who can share genuine love and care with him.

Story
Meet Bam – A Sweet Soul Ready for a Second Chance Bam is a 5-year-old male Poodle weighing approximately 6kg. He was rescued from a breeding facility, where he spent his early life in a cramped, cold wire cage. Despite his difficult past, Bam has shown incredible resilience. He has completed treatment for heartworm and is now well on the road to recovery. His health has greatly improved, and so has his spirit. Bam absolutely adores people. He craves human affection and will lovingly follow you around, always wanting to stay close. He prefers the company of humans over other dogs and truly thrives in one-on-one interactions. Due to his past, Bam still needs some help with house training and may show signs of separation anxiety when left alone. However, with consistent love and a secure environment, he has every potential to grow into a confident, happy companion. Bam is looking for a patient and compassionate family who can offer him the warmth and love he’s longed for. If you have a gentle heart and room in your home, Bam might just be the perfect addition to your life. Give Bam the loving forever home he deserves.

Story
I may be small in size, but I have a heart full of love and sunshine. I'm Lini, a 6-year-old little princess looking for a forever family to call my own. I used to have a home, but because my guardian traveled so often, I had to move from place to place—never staying in one spot for long. Eventually, they could no longer care for me, and I was rescued. Despite everything, I’ve never stopped being sweet, trusting, and full of love. I adore people and love showing affection. I’m cheerful, gentle, and always ready to snuggle. I also get along very well with other dogs—I'm a polite and social little lady. What I want more than anything now is a stable, loving home where I can finally settle down for good. I dream of warm laps, quiet evenings, and a family who will treasure me for the rest of my life. If you're looking for a tiny, affectionate, and loyal companion who will bring endless joy into your days, I hope you'll choose me. Will you be my forever family? 💕 With love, Lini 🐾
