Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 5 year old, 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding at the shelter but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He was recently introduced to odor detection work and his trainer said he was a natural. He catches on to new commands quickly and would love someone to work with. Ramen would do best in an adult only household. He sometimes takes time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an experienced owner who comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to regular grooming. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. Ramen's adoption also includes take home training and support from Nirvana K9 Training. Meet Dapper! Dapper is a sweet 1-year-old, mini poodle weighing about 20 pounds. He’s a fun, active, young dog who is well behaved and has a big love for fun. Dapper walks well on a leash and loves getting out and about and is looking for an active home where he is included in all of your adventures. He absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs and will need a home with another young, playful dog who can be his playmate and help keep him happy and engaged. He would love a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play. He also has a calm side and would love to curl up on the couch with you at the end of the day. Dapper will need regular grooming, as all poodles do, and he does well with it. He takes treats gently and is eager to please, making him a joy to work with. When Dapper came to us, he was underweight, and he’ll need an adopter who’s committed to helping him reach and maintain a healthy weight with proper nutrition and care. I was saved from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea and am one of the lucky few to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to start a new life. My adoption fee of $1,595 is a donation that is non-refundable and helps save the lives of other dogs in need and covers my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle.
