Story
Introducing Merle and Red. These 2 pompoo brothers are full of energy and love. Looking for their place to call home. They were born on May 1, 2026 and about 3-4 pounds. But dont let their size fool you, they run with the bigger pups and win the race everytime. Pups are current on vaccinations and doing well on the house training. Currently they sleep in their own section of my room but I'm sure they will love being by your side always. Fenced area would be ideal with how much they love running. Give them a stick or toy and they are in heaven. The boys are located in Rockford, IL but will travel if you would like to meet one of them. Please contact Cindy Domino thru text at 815-289-0485 or email me at Louiesmomma01@gmail.com if you have any questions. If you would like to fill out a adoption application please do so at tinypawssmalldogrescue.org Adoption fee is $650 and INCLUDES neuter, chip with your info and rabies when old enough thru a Tiny Paws Vet.

Story
Vernon is a 2-year-old, 12-pound poodle mix who may take a little time to warm up, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality starts to shine.Vernon absolutely thrives with another dog by his side and would love a confident canine companion in his forever home. Having a buddy helps him feel safe and brings out his playful, affectionate side.He is house trained and crate trained, and he settles nicely in his crate. Vernon does well with kids, although he can get a little nervous around fast or loud movements, so a calmer home or older, respectful children would likely be the best fit.Once Vernon trusts you, don’t be surprised if this little guy wants to be right in your lap. He’s a gentle, sweet boy who just needs someone willing to give him a little time to feel safe.Vernon’s ideal home:-Another friendly, confident dog -A patient family willing to let him warm up at his own pace -A calm environment where he can continue building confidence -Respectful kids who understand that he can be a little nervousVernon may not be the dog who immediately runs up to greet everyone, but give him a little time-and you’ll see what a special little guy he is.Adoption fee: $700All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an online application at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Story
About Me: Name: Waverly Breed (or best guess): Poodle or Doodle Approximate Age: 6 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 25 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Patient family, fenced yard preferred  Why In Rescue: puppy mill survivor Profile:  Foster Update - Waverly has been in a foster home learning to walk on a leash and doing great with her house/potty training.  Her foster says she is super sweet and very smart! Waverly came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was no longer going to use her for breeding.  She is a little shy but okay with being handled.  She needs work on walking on a leash, so needs a fenced yard for her safety .  She gets along with other dogs, but will likely do fine as an only dog as well.  If you have the patience to help her learn about living the good life as a loved pet, she may be the perfect girl for you! Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS October 4, 2026, 5:40 pm

About Me: Name:  Pecan Breed (or best guess): Poodle Approximate Age: DOB 12/1/21 Gender: F Approximate Weight: 14 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Loving, patient family, fenced yard and another dog is best Why In Rescue: puppy mill survivor Profile:   Pecan came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was no longer going to use her for breeding.  Pecan is social for a puppy mill dog, but don't expect her to love and run up to everyone at first like a dog raised in a home since a puppy might.  She is learning to trust and as she is with us more we will work on things like leash walking, but right now just getting her more socialized and use to living around people is what we work on. About Betty White BREED: Bichon Frise Physical Traits: Young (3 years) Female Small (7 pounds) White BEHAVIOR: House Trained: Working on it Spayed/Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Special Needs: No Betty’s Compatibility Kids -Unknown Dogs – Yes Cats – Yes Other Animals – Unknown Adoption Fee – $550 Betty’s Story Betty is a Bichon Frise, 3 years old and weighs 7 pounds. Since arriving at her foster home, Betty was vaccinated, dewormed, was tested for heart worms with a clear test result, spayed, and a hernia repaired. If you ask Betty, that’s enough of that! Betty lives in her foster home with a big dog, 2 little dogs, and a cat that thinks it’s a dog. And Betty loves them all. Betty would do well in a home that has a playful companion dog. Since Betty did not have any prior human socialization, she is not yet comfortable around people. She’d rather hang out with dogs and easygoing cats. For that reason, her family will need extra patience and lots of love to show Betty while she learns how wonderful people can be. Older children who can respect Betty’s need for space while she adjusts to her new home would be best. Betty will need a fenced yard, but no electric/underground fences. If you can provide Betty with a loving home, please complete an online adoption application for Betty White at https://www.tinypawssmalldogrescue.org. Betty is fostered in West Bend, Wisconsin. Her adoption fee is $550. WI DATCP # 274478

Name: Rudolph Breed: Bichon Frise mix Age: 4 months, DOB: 6/3/2026 Weight: 11 lbs Rudolph is a happy and playful puppy who loves everyone he meets. His fur is so soft and fluffy. He gets along with other dogs and loves people. Due to his cheerful nature, I think he would make a great family or companion dog. This lovable goofball will keep you entertained for sure! Rudolph has been vetted and vaccinated. He’s still in potty training and needs to continue training at his new home. He is not crate trained, and needs to learn how to walk on a leash. I’m pretty sure he would love to sleep in his new owners bed and would love a fenced in yard to run and play in. Rudolph is currently hanging out with his foster family in Chicago, and an adoption fee is required. You can contact Rudolph’s foster mom, Bettina, at bejolese@gmail.com.
