Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. He is so good-natured, friendly, sweet, low key in one way, yet loves to go for a walk, or a trip to the dog park. Kobe is a steady eddy in terms of temperament, and he is responsive to direction and commands. He is crate-trained, although he doesn't need a crate, and potty-trained. Kobe is said to be around eight years old and about 100 lbs. Kobe looks like he could be menacing, but is just so friendly, we haven't seen any human aggression from him at all. Kobe came from a neglect/cruelty case, where believe it or not - the dogs were starving. Some kind advocates in KY got him out of that situation and plumped him up! He sure does love to eat! We are putting him on a reduced food intake and exercise to help him lose some weight, although he will always be a Big Boy, he does need to lose some weight for his overall health. Kobe does have Cushing's disease, so he will need to be on medication for that for the rest of his life. Kobe should not go to a home with cats but has shown very well with other dogs. Kobe would do best in a home with an active person who can give him the walks, dog park, and fun he had missed out on for years. He can live with other dogs, but no cats for Kobe. A fenced-in yard would be in his best interest, as he loves to be outside, truly loves to sit outside, even for hours, or go in and out quite a bit. My foster mom is still getting to know me but she says I'm amazing with all humans especially the 11 year old in the house, I ignore the cats, and I love belly rubs! I like to nose dive to the ground and plop onto my back for itchies! Iove toys and can entertain myself throwing them around or playing tug with a human is fun too! I'm still figuring out ques from other dogs but with slow intros could do okay with another dog, i get along with the bulldog at foster moms house but am too exuberant for the other dogs...i seem like i just really want to play. I love chewing bones, am crate trained, and I have had ZERO accidents with foster mom. I'm a really good girl and can't wait to find my forever home! From her foster: Slow intros with other dogs are 100 percent necessary. Better with smaller dogs. From the Vet: "Hi! My name is Laura, I came into rescue in February of this year and I have had a few issues that took a while to resolve. My main issue was a problem with persistent vomiting. I was given supportive care to treat this while it was happening, but the vets did lots of testing to rule out certain illnesses like Addisons Disease. I started on a Hypoallergenic diet and steroid medication and I am now showing lots of improvement. I have also tapered off of the steroid, but we think it will be best for me to continue on this food life-long or discuss future diet changes with a primary care veterinarian. An allergy shot has also helped with some skin issues as well. I came with an ear infection that has since cleared up and I will need a dental surgery that can be scheduled with The Bond Between Vet Center after my adoption (or this will be scheduled in April if I have not been adopted yet) and this procedure will be covered by TBB." I am Wagger. I am from Minnesota. Wagger is a cuddle bunny. 2yr old Rottweiler mix who thinks he is a lap dog. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Wondering how I’m still available?  Me too!  I might seem high maintenance being I need a fenced yard and another dog to play with in my forever home but I see it as making it easier for you.  You can just open the door and out we go to potty and play! You’ll find me to be super playful and incredibly sweet.  I enjoy cuddling with both people and dogs.  I’ve not quite gotten brave enough to check out the cat that is here.  So far the closest I’ve gotten is a sniff in the air. I’m potty trained (unless you rely on using a leash, where I’ll hold it until I’m back inside, which is why I’m asking for a fenced yard). Perhaps we can work on using a leash together as I have a tendency to pull.  But I do know some commands, such as “sit, kennel and outside.”  Speaking of which, I know how to use a kennel but I’m not a fan of one.  I also have been known to bark at strangers out the windows and when you come back home.  I don’t count the times I bark when other dogs start it.  I’m just playing along.  Here is a summary of what foster-mom says: “She's absolutely perfect. Still young and playful but loves to be a couch potato and cuddle. She loves to get super close and tuck her head into your neck. She loves other dogs but needs to take it slow with dogs who are over friendly and get in her face. She does warm up eventually though. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4.5-year-old beauty. She is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier that weighs about 60 pounds. She is a beautiful grey and tan coat that is shiny and she is not too big of a shedding dog. She is loyal and does get along with dogs. Her preference is smaller male dogs or smaller submissive females. She was adopted as a puppy and returned at 4 years old because she didn’t get along with the other female dog in the home. She loves people and loves kids. She is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She is very affectionate and slept with her family in the bed at night. She was really nice to all the people she met today at the rescue. She loved cuddles and being petted. We could adopt her locally with other dogs and we can test the dogs out. If she goes outside the state of Texas she would make a great only dog. She would be a great companion dog for someone wanting an outdoor companion on your activities and a dog willing to cuddle when you want to chill and read a book. She is the best of both worlds. She is house trained and goes potty outside. They have worked with trainers so she is skilled as far as training goes and was following direction nicely at the Rescue.
