Story
Age: DOB 12/13/2024 Dog friendly: Yes, another dog required in her home Cat friendly: No Kid friendly: No, Pumpkin would do best in an adults only home. Potty trained: Yes, on a schedule Crate trained: Yes ***Needs companion dog in home*** Sweet Pumpkin is a friendly, affectionate pup who came to us all the way from the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, where she was living as a stray puppy all alone. When she first arrived, she was scared and unsure with her tail tucked. With strangers, she does still have an initial wariness, but once you are part of her trusted circle, she quickly comes out of her shell. She is a goofy and playful girl who LOVES to cuddle up in your lap, chew on bones and chase balls. Pumpkin is full of affection and gets along great with other dogs. She's also very smart and well-behaved, she's never chewed on anything she's not supposed to, and she's never had a potty accident indoors. She's a pretty quiet girl, but will make noise at appropriate times - which isn't often. She sleeps with the resident dogs at night and happily spends portions of her day quietly in a crate. Pumpkin still has some puppy energy, so she would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. However, as long as she gets daily walks or runs, she'd do just as well without one. Pumpkin's foster family will miss her dearly, but we know she'll bring copious amounts of love to her forever home! Adoption Fee: $425

Story
This handsome Rottweiler has been through more than any dog should, but his spirit remains strong. He is scheduled to have one of his back legs amputated and is looking for a loving foster home where he can safely recover and begin his next chapter. He'll need a calm, patient caregiver who can provide a comfortable place to rest, help with his post-surgical care, and shower him with the love he deserves. Like many dogs recovering from a major surgery, he'll benefit from a quiet environment and a consistent routine. He does best as the only dog, or with very slow, carefully managed introductions to another calm dog. Right now, his focus needs to be on healing, building confidence, and adjusting to life on three legs. Tripods are incredibly resilient, and with the right support, he has every opportunity to enjoy a happy, active life. If you have room in your heart and home to help this courageous boy recover, you'll be making a life-changing difference.     ##2751993##

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Forever in Foster Care Meet Reina! This girl is 8 years old and is handicapable!  Reina will be a forever foster in DRM's Program and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.  Her foster family and DRM have devoted themselves to keeping Reina in their home, where she will be cared for and loved for the rest of her life. Reina was originally rescued from a high kill shelter by an all breed rescue. It was apparent she suffered from neurological issues, but nothing could be found on x-rays of her spine. DRM then stepped in and welcomed Reina into our program to get the help needed so she can thrive!   Reina was born with a condition that caused the nerves from her back legs to brain to not map completely. Sometimes she can be a bit wobbly and sometimes she suffers from incontinence. She is on a special diet that has helped a lot with her potty issues though!  Reina’s favorite activities include snuggling her humans, chewing on bones, going for walks, playdates with her friends and exploring the yard. She also LOVES to chase rabbits and squirrels! When she’s tuckered out, she’ll sunbathe looking out the window or hang out with her foster family.  Reina has lived with other dogs and cats – she’s awesome with dogs but can be very curious about her feline friends. Reina is super smart and knows all the basic commands. Her recall is great (as long as she’s not scouting for bunnies or squirrels) and she is very food motivated to learn anything else you’d like to teach her. She is a hit around the neighborhood with her sunny disposition and love of everyone she meets.  March 7, 2026, 3:24 pm

Story
Forever Foster Girl Whiskey!Whiskey comes to us all the way from Kansas City. She found herself on the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter, and DRM stepped in just in time to bring her to safety. Whiskey is not available for adoption. Her foster family, in partnership with DRM, has made a lifelong commitment to her, ensuring she will remain in a loving, stable home where she is cared for and cherished for the rest of her life. And one more thing—Whiskey’s absolute favorite thing in the world is her Kong! If you’d like to spoil her or help support her enrichment, Kong toys are always greatly appreciated and go a long way in keeping her happy and engaged. If you’d like to support Whiskey and other dogs like her, please consider making a donation to DRM—your generosity helps us provide lifelong care for forever fosters and continue rescuing dogs in need.August 24, 2026, 9:58 pm

Story
Meet Killian! Killian is a 5-year-old sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. He’s on a fish-based diet (no chicken for this guy!) and thrives on a consistent potty schedule to keep things running smoothly. People: Killian loves adults and teens, and always looks forward to greeting people at the door! He hasn’t met many little ones, but his playful energy might be a bit much for small kids. Dogs: He has been in a home with dogs in the past, but he is currently a solo dog. With slow intros, this guy could thrive with a playmate or as an only child! Cats/Small Animals: Killian has a bit of a prey drive and will chase if a cat runs,so we would say No to the kitties.   Favorite Things: Chew toys, frozen lick mats, and snuggling on the couch are his love language. He’ll even bring you a stuffed toy when he wants attention!  Training: Killian is working on his crate training, but he currently does best outside of the crate while his foster mom is out. He is also learning obedience skills and leash manners, he is picking up quickly! He will need continued training but he has come so far with working through him being stimulated with living in a busy active neighborhood.  Killian is a loyal, goofy companion ready to find his forever home with someone who’ll love his playful spirit and big personality. Please read all adoption steps and policies carefully on our website. http://dobermanrescueminnesota.com/adoption-steps/ Qualified adopters are within the approved adoption area, and Adopter will be requested to visit this foster dog at the foster family home. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. August 24, 2026, 9:58 pm
