My siblings and I came into rescue when we were found abandoned in a ditch in rural MN. After a rough start to life, I am happy and thriving. My foster mom thinks I’m pretty amazing. I love all people, but especially kids. I would love to have a little person to run and play with. I like other dogs, playing tug of war, chewing on bones, and I’m a master at fetch. I’ve also had introductions to kitties. I think they’re pretty amazing. However, I may chase if they run away. But only because I want to play.  I’m pretty mellow and quiet most of the time and love to snuggle on the couch to watch some TV or read a book. Although I’m not potty trained yet, I am working on it. I will go in my kennel and don’t mind being in there for a little while and often just nap. At night, I will go in my kennel to sleep but would really rather sleep with my person. My foster mom says I am smart, treat motivated, and might even make a great therapy or companion dog with the right training. Will you be my new family? I would love to meet you!   Adoption Fee:$525Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? I am a fun-loving snuggle bug who loves my people. I am crazy about other dogs, I adore toys, and I like to get squeakers! I enjoy running around my foster family's yard and playing with the dogs. I am startled by loud noises and prefer to sleep in bed with my person, even though I hog the entire bed. I take treats super gently, and did I mention I love, love, love to snuggle! I am working on my manners and not pulling on the leash. I'm learning to leave it and to sit and wait when other dogs or people are approaching. The problem is I want to meet everyone and every dog I see. I also love to sniff. Sniffing is more interesting to me than treats! I am looking for the perfect active person or family with another dog to play with and keep me company when my people leave. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Kobe is an exceptional dog. He is so good-natured, friendly, sweet, low key in one way, yet loves to go for a walk, or a trip to the dog park. Kobe is a steady eddy in terms of temperament and he is responsive to direction and commands. He is crate-trained, although he doesn't need a crate, and potty-trained. Kobe is said to be around eight years old and about 100 lbs. (He was overweight when he came to us, we are working on weight reduction). Kobe looks like he could be menacing, but is just so friendly, we haven't seen any human aggression from him at all.  Kobe came from a neglect/cruelty case, where believe it or not - the dogs were starving. Some kind advocates in KY got him out of that situation and plumped him up! He sure does love to eat! We are putting him on a reduced food intake and exercise to help him lose some weight, although he will always be a "Big Boy" he does need to lose some weight for his overall health. Kobe did test positive for "Cushing's disease," so he will need to be on a medication for that for the rest of his life. We have him on Trilostane Compound right now and it is helping him.   Kobe should not go to a home with cats but has shown very well with other dogs. He will growl (but no outright aggression seen) if a dog is "invading" an area he might have high stake value in, like near the food bowl, etc. He can be an only dog or live with other dogs.  Kobe would do best in a home with an active person who can give him the walks, dog park, and fun he had missed out on for years. He can live with other dogs, but no cats for Kobe. A fenced-in yard would be in his best interest, as he loves to be outside, truly loves to sit outside, even for hours, or go in and out quite a bit.  Let us know if you are interested in meeting this special boy. He has a special future, we can tell!  Interested in fostering or adopting? Story
Ariel aka Gemma is a Rottweiler mix born approx. 10/21/23. She is really a “gem” as far as puppies go and developmentally, well— she’s all wiggly puppy with a big heart, and is cute as a bug. She travels well in her crate in the back of your vehicle or whatever restraining device you would choose, but she’s much safer and calmer when she feels secure. She’s patient with the coaching of “wait… wait…” as you might fumble with her leash, the door - whatever.   This girl is fully crate trained, housebroken, socialized to people, walks well on a leash, a pretty good retriever so far, and at the end of the day, when she’s not so busy being her puppy-self, a very good snuggler for about an hour of TV before bed. And she insists on being on your lap in some fashion for this time together, as well as before her daily nap.   In the morning, she stays quietly in her crate until 8/9:00, when nature calls. She no longer needs to be carried/rushed to the door as her bladder control has matured, but she will “use her voice” (newly discovered) to convey her impatience … in her defense— she has NEVER messed in her crate! oh, wait— she shredded a little cushion in there— but that was totally on her foster!   She’s a very rambunctious, curious puppy; a delight to watch as she explores/encounters/ responds to the world around her. Prior puppy raising experience might come in handy for you, but be assured—she definitely knows what she’s doing — consistency is KEY to her training and your sanity. She'd love to meet you! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 26, 2024, 2:38 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.//     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee $400 plus taxDorsey will require another confident dog in his adoptive homeTo say Dorsey is a lover, not a fighter is a major understatement. We don't know what he experienced in his life before rescue, but he clearly was given a reason to fear people. But, with dog buddies to show him the ways of the house pet, he has found that cuddling is his absolute favorite activity. When he trusts, he falls in love. He wants to be so close his family, both receiving and providing comfort. He includes in his family all creatures great and small, from his people and foster siblings and visiting dogs down to 'his' cat. When a furry friend tells him it's play time, he is all in for that too. And when it's time to rest, he is right there like a warm blanket or pillow. Dorsey is fully housebroken and kennel trained. He enjoys walks and running around the yard. He came to us very, very thin but he loves his mealtime and with 3 meals a day and some treats, he is slowly putting on weight. I guess that makes his life philosophy Eat, Play, Love.   If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   or     *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Chico is full of all the energy but loves to snuggle when it is time to wind down. Chico loves playing with any and all dogs who will play with him. He loves going on walks and to the dog park. He is a little shy with new people but once he is warmed up he is full of kisses. He is good with kids and cats. Chico does have some separation anxiety so being kennel when home alone is recommended. He does do great in his kennel when he is use to his environment. He has some sort of anxiety that causes him to have accidents in the house if not taken out multiple times when he is out of his kennel. His birthday is 11/06/22 and he weighs about 50 pounds Adoption Fee: $375 Chico is fully vetted and ready for his forever home! Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Location: Duluth, MN Hey! I'm Croc, and the name fits me well because I'm everyone's favorite. I looooove people and attention an will gladly follow you everywhere. Out in public I really like to ask people to pet me and give them licks. I'm doing my best on potty training and figuring out the leash, but I love my kennel! I sleep well in there at night and I like to play with the resident dogs and cats. My ears look like they will probably be bigger than my head when they finally stand up! I'd love to be your lap dog and fun buddy. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Story
New to DRM, stay tuned for more info!!New to Doberman Rescue Minnesota. Our foster home is learning  more about this great Doberman everyday and she is available for applications.   What we do know for now is she is a super gentle and sweet petite beautiful girl. She is doing wonderful with the resident Dobie X male doggo in the house. They play together nicely and drink and eat together and have no issues. She does not have a lot of training in her and she will need an eager, loving and patient adopter. She is a counter surfer and the foster is working on that. She rides beautifully in the car and just gets in and lays down for the ride. No barking or jumping around. She will need some leash training, she does ok but definitely room for improvement. She has done awesome meeting all adults thus far. We do not know about kids. We have been told she may not do well with small dogs or cats. She was not crate trained and is kind of scared of it, so the foster is just letting her sleep on dog beds and uses baby gates for boundaries. But if there is something on the other side she is wanting she will jump the gate in the house, so foster feels she will be required a fenced in yard for her safety. Vixen would do well in a home that is quieter and would have a dog companion to hang out with(large dog like her size). She was just recently diagnosed with Bilateral Shoulder Degenerative Joint Disease. It does cause her pain, but the pain meds do help. Surgery is not an option for her so she received a cortisone shot and is feeling a whole lot better. So in the future she may need more shots and vet visits.  She is a total love bug and just wants to be snuggled, adored and petted as much as she can.  This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Please read all adoption steps and policies carefully on our website. http://dobermanrescueminnesota.com/adoption-steps/ Qualified adopters are within the approved adoption area, and Adopter will be requested to visit this foster dog at the foster family home. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. This handsome boy is ready for his closeup with a new home!  Mr. Cooper is as sweet as they come and as handsome as can be. He is a large mellow boy.  He was adopted a couple years ago and with personal family issues in his home he was returned to DRM. Cooper does well with other dogs and was known previously to be ok with savvy cats but since back in our care we haven't had that opportunity to see if that is still the case.  He is crate trained, house broke and walks well with a training collar.  Cooper does have some light and reflection reactivity and this may be due to his condition of having little petit seizures. He is now on medication for his seizures and he is doing well. He seems to be better on days that are cloudy/overcast than on days that are sunny and bright.  He is just like any other dog and his everyday activities are not affected by his tiny little episodes.  He is loving, smart, playful and just wants to be cuddled and spend his days with his humans.  This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog.
