He’s actually my brother’s dog, and he’s a sweet boy, but does get aggressive towards some men. Never bitten anyone, but just growls at certain men, but loves women. Gets along well with other dogs. He’s 6 years old. I’ve had him for the last couple weeks because my brother’s wife is pregnant, and Bunga is a big dog who thinks he’s a small dog, and has nearly knocked her over on a couple of occasions, so they’ve made the decision to try to re-home him. He’s up to date on all shots except annual rabies which is a few months overdue. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Meet Ruthie, a Rottweiler both roughly 10/20/2020.    I love all dogs both big and small.  I am kind and mellow and love to play with the resident dog, Spur. I am house trained and quiet as my mom works from home.  She said I am the perfect dog because I am a good eater, not a barker or runner and sleep all night.  I stay close to mom both inside and outside of the home.  I love the crate and often sit in the open crate during the day.  Mom says I need a family who will be patient with me so I can get acquainted and trust.  I am happy to let my mom love me, kiss me, grind my nails, massage my feet and rub my ears.  I love attention and belly rubs once I know and trust you.  A typical Rottweiler who is loyal to his family.  I will be a great family friend but I will need you to allow me to decompress,  possibly taking weeks or months before I am my true self.  The fun and playful Rottie.          Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Betty is a petite, sassy, loving 8 year old boxer mix that LOVES her people. She is the kind of dog that will follow you from room to room as you go about your day. She'll lay at your feet but would definitely prefer to be on the couch.   We don't know much about Betty's history other than she likely had a rough go of things for a while. She was very skinny when she came into rescue and the fur on her haunches and belly was stained yellow. She is now living her best life in her foster home, getting all of the love and food she needs.   While Betty can coexist nicely with other dogs, her foster mama thinks she'd prefer to be an only dog as every now and then, she can get a little salty with the other dogs in her foster home. She also prefers to meet dogs on her terms only. She does do very well with dog-savvy cats and kids. She has been making notable progress with her potty training, especially when she's on a schedule. Betty does perfectly fine in her kennel at night and when her foster family is away from the home.   If you're looking for a chill adult dog that will only ever ask you for love (and treats), Betty is your girl. Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!   I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in.
