Story
I found out that he doesn't do great with children and we have a baby. He does show aggressiveness towards children and sometimes people if they move fast so a home without children please. I found out by the owners after I already had him that he did bite their child but vets when I called said he is young and with training he should be fine but I can't take the risk with me having a baby. He'll be 1years old may 18th. He'll come with treats, collar, leash, some food and stand with food/water bowl and a muzzle which he has to wear out side at all times. He let's you know if he needs to go out. He is kennel trained but won't be having a kennel with him because he's currently using my other dogs kennel.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $400 plus tax Duncan is a super cuddly and affectionate pup. He is crate trained, housebroken, and muzzle trained, and knows several comments such as sit, touch, leave it, and back. He does have some anxiety issues; he is nervous when meeting people and needs to be introduced slowly and cautiously. He is working hard to overcome this anxiety which, if unchecked, manifests itself in reactive behavior. He has gone through a great deal of training (both private and group) and learns quickly.  He has made significant improvements but still needs work. His current family adores Duncan. They understand his personality and work with him to be a good little guy. He loves to cuddle with them, plays with toys, enjoys long active walks, and monitors the squirrel and bunny visitors from the window. Unfortunately, he doesn’t fit well with their elderly cat and frequent teenage visitors. He really wants to be in charge, but does much better with a human boss. Potential owners will need to be patient with Duncan and continue to work daily with him on training. He comes with ahis own trainer. He is very loyal and protective. No young children or cats. He hangs out with our friend’s dog often, but food/treats/toys must be kept separate. Duncan will make a great dog for someone who is willing to take the time to show him that he does not need to bear all responsibility for caring for everybody.     If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Kevin is a Rottweiler born approximately 10/8/2021. He was picked up as a stray. Once he trusts you, he is a big lover! He is a very playful, goofball who is beginning to learn his manners. He just wants to love on you! He needs a strong experienced owner to continue teaching him the ways of being a family dog. He's very treat motivated. His foster has 2 other dogs and a cat. I would recommend he goes to a home with no cats. They also have two kids who are two and four years old. He has no idea of his strength and knocks them right over so for that I'd say older kids. He sleeps in his kennel for 8 hours overnight without barking. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2023, 9:45 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Margie is a 2-year old Rottweiler who is sweet and affectionate with a bubbly personality that is hard not to love. Her playful nature is infectious, and she is always ready for a good time. Margie is a social butterfly who thrives on the company of others, whether it's human or dogs. She's a real people-pleaser and gets along with dogs, cats, kids, and all humans.  She loves everyone she meets making her the perfect addition to a family.   Margie is house and crate trained. She does well in the crate and will go in if I say kennel up and quietly lays down.  Margie loves car rides laying down in the backseat or likes to have her head out the window on nice days.   Margie loves walks and does well on a gentle leader. Margie is continuing to train on her leash reactivity to other dogs probably due to lack of socialization and walks as a puppy.   Her foster mom works from home while Margie and the resident dog who is a Great Pyranese/Rottweiler mix quietly sleep or play. Margie is not a barker at the UPS truck, the mailman, or people in golf carts in our back yard. Margie has very polite office manners while mom works.  Margie is looking for her family that loves to give hugs, cuddle in bed and loves the children to read a book to her.    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting.  If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***   DOB: 12/08/2018 Requires another dog in home: No, if home a lot Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, prefers similar size dogs Okay with cats: No, has prey drive Okay with children under 12 years old: No, because gets exctied Weight: 57.8 lbs Requires a fenced yard: No, if committed to continue leash training Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Rye. I am a dashing adult male Shepherd mix who loves attention and needs a lot of stimulation, or I just might find my own entertainment which may be a bit destructive…I’m just sayin’! Hee, hee!! Playing with my people and other dogs is one of my favorite things to do but I can get a little too excited and nippy sometimes so foster mom gently helps me calm down, but I don’t think small kids are a good fit for me! In addition to playing, I love cuddling with my people; barking at anything that moves outside; getting baths and being brushed; chewing on and destroying anything I can find whether bones, chew toys or other things that maybe are not meant for me (hee, hee); and since I have a high prey drive, I love to chase rodents as well as cats so my new home should be feline free! I do pretty well in new situations if my people are there with me, but I can be a little shy with new people and although I warm quickly to women, I’m more reserved with men and make them work for my attention and trust! Hee, hee!! I also don’t like it when foster mom leaves the room because, quite frankly, I ‘demand’ to be a part of EVERYTHING!! Hee, hee!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention how smart I am…I mean, not only am I potty, crate, and leash trained but I know a bunch of commands like “sit”, “stay”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, “go potty” and will do almost anything for a treat! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I’m a total love bug who is simply looking for a furever home with a wonderfully patient family who will shower me with unconditional love and NEVER give up on me. If you are ready to welcome some joy and happiness into your life, then I we are meant for each other! I promise I am worth it, and I will light up your world! Love, Rye Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a  particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.       ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.   ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.   FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.   NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.   YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now?
