At 70+ pounds, he’s a large boy with a big heart and a wonderfully mellow temperament. He loves everyone he meets and is fantastic with other dogs—so much so that the Arkansas shelter used him as their “tester dog” because of his steady, friendly nature. He’s neutered, fully potty trained, and crate trained—as long as it’s a wire crate. (He’s a bit of a Houdini with plastic ones!) When he’s tired, he’ll put himself to bed and snooze peacefully. Argo loves playing fetch, chasing his foster brother around the yard, and enjoying toys and walks. He’s gentle, intelligent, eager to please, and knows several commands including sit, come, shake, and kennel. Argo would love with a fenced yard, where he can safely enjoy outdoor playtime. He’s slightly active with a moderate energy level—happy to romp and play, but also content to relax and be a lap‑leaning companion. He takes treats very gently and is a quiet dog who rarely barks. He’s friendly with adults and great with other dogs. He hasn’t been tested with cats or young kids, but because he gets excited to see his people and may softly jump up, he’d do best with older or considerate children (10+). He is still figuring out that men in hats are friendly too, and is working on getting over that fear. He could be an only dog as long as his humans are home most of the time, but he truly enjoys canine companionship and would love a friendly dog buddy in his new home. Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. Meet Ruthie, a Rottweiler both roughly 10/20/2020.    I love all dogs both big and small.  I am kind and mellow and love to play with the resident dog, Spur. I am house trained and quiet as my mom works from home.  She said I am the perfect dog because I am a good eater, not a barker or runner and sleep all night.  I stay close to mom both inside and outside of the home.  I love the crate and often sit in the open crate during the day.  Mom says I need a family who will be patient with me so I can get acquainted and trust.  I am happy to let my mom love me, kiss me, grind my nails, massage my feet and rub my ears.  I love attention and belly rubs once I know and trust you.  A typical Rottweiler who is loyal to his family.  I will be a great family friend but I will need you to allow me to decompress,  possibly taking weeks or months before I am my true self.  The fun and playful Rottie.          Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. This adorable spirited little boy and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Barnabas is a gentle little boy, but dose love to run and play with other dogs. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. She came to Underdog as a breeder surrender and is still learning how big and wonderful the world can be. While she has some nervous energy and takes time to trust new people, and men especially, once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. When Jojo came, she did have allergies and chewed her feet a lot.  We have kept her allergies at bay by feeding her Carna4 brand dog food.  That, a raw food diet, or a cooked whole food diet should be committed to be continued to keep her in optimum health. This sweet girl is potty trained, is good on a leash and loves her daily walks, comes when called, and is eager to learn with plenty of positive encouragement. JoJo would thrive in a calm, patient home with an assertive dog to show her the ropes and help build her confidence. She loves to play and has never met a dog that she instantly considers a new friend.  She would be happiest in a home with a dog 40+ pounds with whom she can race and play.  She is not the kind of pup who will rush into your arms right away, but with love, consistency, and kindness, she will reward you with a bond that runs deep.she binds closest with women, and while she does not need a fenced in yard, she must be leashed at all times.
