Meet Minka, She is a 4 year old Rottweiler mix. She came in with Lucy. She also is from the Brunswick pound. She weighs 55 lbs. She is also a little shy and confused. But she just needs a little time to adjust. She will be available for adoption on 4/23/26. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

Hi, I’m Wyatt 💛 I’m a 2-year-old Rottie with a story 📖 I was rescued from a really scary place where nobody cared for me 🥺 My skin hurt so badly that when I got my first bath, the water turned red from all the blood washing off of me. It was really, really hard, but I’m safe now and healing more every single day ❤️‍🩹 I’m still on my journey to feeling completely healthy and happy, but I’m already learning so much! I haven’t had a single accident inside, I figured out the dog door in just two days, and I’m super smart. I love hanging out with my fellow doggies. Sometimes I like to be the King of Dog Bed Mountain 🛏️👑, and I’m gentle and sweet with everyone I meet ☺️ I’m not quite ready for my forever home yet. Hi guys I’m Willie 🤍 I don’t remember much about the very beginning of my life, just that I didn’t always feel safe, and I didn’t always know what it meant to be loved 😔 But then everything changed. I was adopted by a nice family, and for the first time, I had my people. They showed me what love feels like 🥹 soft hands, kind voices, adventures outside, and a home where I could finally rest and feel safe. I gave them everything I had in return. I loved them deeply, I protected them, and they were my whole world 🌎 Then one day, everything fell apart 💔 In October 2025, I was in the car with my mom when something went terribly wrong. The car left the road, and we were trapped. I stayed with her the whole time 😔 I didn’t leave her side. When people came to help, I didn’t understand what was happening but she didn’t come home. 🥺 I tried to be strong after that. It was just me and my dad. We were both hurting, trying to figure out life without her and then, suddenly, he was gone too! I was in the house when he passed. I’ve lost everything I knew and Everyone I loved 😔 And now, I’m here. I’m staying at a doggy daycare, surrounded by kind people who take care of me, but it’s not a home. It’s not my home. Every day, I wait and I don’t really know what I’m waiting for anymore. I just know I don’t have anywhere to go. But even after everything I still have love to give ❤️ I’m a loyal boy, Im a senior boy, around 9 years old! I bond deeply with my person the one who makes me feel safe again. I’m house trained 🚽 crate trained 💤 and apparently I walk very nicely on a leash, which makes humans weirdly emotional and proud of me 🐾 I love people and I LOVE kids! If you sit down near me, there’s about a 98% chance I’m going to gently lean my entire body against you 🥹 I’m super happy just being included. You wanna go for a walk? I’ll be ready. She hangs out with the kids, playing dress up, napping together, or just chill while the kids do their thing. She loves it if the kids switch things up and play fetch with her. She brings the ball back 😊 She is happy to show off her athleticism if the occasion calls for it. She’ll entertain herself with a toy or a chewbone if the kids want to do their own thing. She loves their companionship. She likes them even better if they drop crumbs or food on the floor :) Once, at a park, Luna stood in between an unsuspecting child and an unfriendly dog and gently guided the child out of harm's way of the unfriendly dog. Luna also has a knack for socks. She is a pro at stealing socks, but only to lay in them. If you are missing a sock, it is most likely in her crate. Luna loves car rides. She’ll be over the moon if she can pick up the kids from school with you. Luna is good with dogs too but certainly prefers her little humans 😊 Luna does not chime in if dogs bark at her on a walk. She carries on her walk quietly. Loud noises, random chaotic movements do not bother her. Although Luna is neutral to dogs, she prefers to be the only dog due to a previous unprovoked attack by another dog. Luna is 5 years old, 55lb Staffy. She is looking for a family with kids she can hang out with. Luna is house and crate trained.

Sweet Baby wants to be your companion! She is chill and low maintenance (for the most part haha) if she isn’t being forward soliciting pets and leaning into your legs when getting pets. She is happiest when she is interacting with humans. She loves being a ‘turtle’ for back scratches. She will kick her back legs in the air because the feeling of being scratched is soooooo good! At 10 years old, Baby still enjoys long walks and light jogging/nighttime runs. After that, you can find her wiped out on the couch (or her bed) snoring extremely loudly, sometimes even howling in her sleep. Must be a good dream! 😊 Baby’s favorite TV show is SpongeBob. She listens intently to his conversations. Cute! Baby loves meeting people. She goes up to everyone she meets hoping to get pets (or treats. Cheese is her favorite). When you come home from work. Baby likes to greet you at the door. She immediately solicits belly rubs and butt scratches. Some of Baby’s ‘dislikes’ are car rides (she gets anxiety), loud noises (mostly door buzzers), her nails getting clipped and most importantly when people stop petting her. Baby is about 10 years old, 90lb Boxer mix. Baby is looking for a family that can provide her with a calm, quiet environment for her beauty sleep yet active enough where she gets her daily walks/jogs. Baby is great with everyone. She is house trained. She isn’t destructive in the home when left alone. She whines for a little bit when people leave but she settles quickly. Baby previously lived with 2 cats. Her previous family moved away and left her in the apartment.
