Story
Hi! I’m Koana. 🌺 And I have a few questions. Like… What’s that? Can I chase it? Is that the hose?! Can I have the hose?! WHY ARE WE NOT PLAYING WITH THE WATER HOSE RIGHT NOW?! The hose is, without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind. I would happily spend my entire day chasing water. 💦 I’m a playful, curious, athletic girl who LOVES attention. I’m basically a Velcro dog with a tiny independent streak. I’ll follow you around the house, then occasionally wander off to investigate something extremely important… like a squirrel. 🐿️ And when I want affection, I have a very specific technique. I will wedge myself between your legs, fold myself practically in half, and wait for the belly rubs. Yes, I realize I am a rather large Rottweiler. No, I do not understand why that should prevent me from becoming a pretzel 🥨 in your lap. 😉 I’m also a total lover. I’ll lean my head against you and give you my paw because apparently that is how I say, “You’re my person.” ❤️ But here’s the part I don’t understand… 😔 I’ve been returned to the same shelter FOUR TIMES. Four. I’m not really sure why. 🤨 Maybe it’s because my adoption fee was only seven dollars, and apparently some people thought that meant I was a $7 impulse purchase instead of an actual living, feeling dog who needed commitment. 🥺 Whatever the reason, the rescue is making sure my fifth chapter is the one where I find my forever home! I can be a little suspicious when I first meet people, especially men, and loud voices or quick movements can make me nervous. 😬 I’ve learned that sometimes people aren’t very gentle, 😔 so I’m still learning that I’m safe now. But give me patience, kindness, and a little time, and you’ll see the real me come out. And the real me? I’m a little lover. ❤️ I’m smart. 🧠 I learn quickly. I know sit, down, and paw, and I’m working on wait. I even figured out the dog door all by myself because apparently I have places to be. 🐿️👀 I’m athletic and would LOVE a family who wants to actually do things with me. Hiking? 🥾 YES. Training? YES. Adventures? ⛺️ ABSOLUTELY. A job to do? Please and thank you. ☺️ I’m generally calm in the house and settle nicely. I’m happy sleeping in my bed, 🛌 preferably near my people, and I’m perfectly fine being home alone. I’ll even sleep at your feet while you watch TV. 📺 Other dogs? I’ve done well with a big older boy and enjoy playing with dogs who want to play. 🎾 I would probably love having a male dog around my size as a buddy. I do have a very high prey drive, though, so squirrels, rabbits, lizards, and frogs should probably consider relocating. 👀🐿️ And if you have a hose? Well… I’m already packing. 🧳💦 I’ve been given four chances already. I’m really hoping someone will give me the one that counts. 🥹 The chance to stop being the dog who gets returned… and finally become the dog who gets home. ❤️ Love, Koana 🌺 P.S. If you adopt me, please understand that you are also adopting a part time squirrel patrol officer and a full time hose enthusiast. There will be no refunds on either position. 😉 https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/koana-mf8d

Story
Hi, I’m Kiko. 💙 I’m pretty sure I was supposed to be someone else’s dog a long time ago. I spent far longer in the shelter than dogs usually do. The kind of long that doesn’t make much sense. Every day I watched dogs get adopted or end up on the euthanasia list. Somehow, the staff never gave up on me. They kept believing there was something special about me. 🥹 Turns out, they were right. 💙 I’m the kind of dog who makes himself at home in your heart almost immediately. 🥹 I’ll also make myself at home in your bed because, respectfully, I have no interest in sleeping anywhere else. 🤭 I’m sweet in a way that’s hard to explain until you meet me. 🧁 I hand out kisses like they’re free, give hugs whenever I can, and somehow manage to be both a goofy class clown 🤡 and the world’s biggest cuddle bug. 🥰 My foster laughs every single day because of my signature gallop. 🏇 When I come bouncing out of my kennel, my legs seem to have plans of their own. It’s impossible not to smile watching me. ☺️ Speaking of kennels… 🙄 I’m still working on that whole crate thing. It’s not exactly my favorite place. I’d much rather be wherever my people are, preferably with a squeaky toy 🎾 nearby and belly rubs waiting for me. Life is exciting, and I’m determined to experience all of it. 😁 Walks are wonderful. Chasing a ball is even better. Bringing it back, Well… I think that part is optional. 😉 I’ll happily go get it, but then it becomes a team building exercise because you have to come get it too. I’m really just looking out for your cardio. 😋 Water… 🚿 baths… 🛁 rain… 🌧️ I haven’t quite decided how I feel about all that yet, but I’m definitely going to investigate. 👀 Now, about cats… 🐈 I know everyone always asks. I’m not looking to chase them. I just have questions, okay 🙃 We can be curious together. Squirrels, though 🐿️ I’m convinced they’re up to something. Weird little things 😟 I absolutely adore other dogs. 🐶 They’re usually my favorite introductions, and I would love a home with a canine best friend. I play nicely, I’m submissive, and having another dog helps me feel confident while I’m still figuring out this whole “being a family dog” thing. I’m house trained, I ride great in the car, 🚙 I know how to sit, and I’m learning something new every day. I’m curious about everything, determined to keep trying, and sweet enough that you’ll forgive the occasional puppy mistake. 🫣 One of my funniest habits is carrying pieces of my food somewhere else before I eat them. 🦴 Apparently dining rooms are overrated. I also gently nibble my toys 🧸 instead of destroying them, and when I finally settle down, you’ll probably find me asleep upside down with all four paws in the air. 💤🥱 My perfect home is one with people looking for a true best friend, at least one playful dog, and a family that enjoys a morning adventure followed by a cozy evening on the couch. I have energy to burn, but once I’ve had my fun, I’m more than happy to curl up beside you because being close to my people is my favorite place to be. ☺️ I’ve waited longer than I ever should have. Now I’m just waiting for the family who will finally look at me and say… “There you are.” 💙 Maybe that’s you. I sure hope it is. 🤍 Love the bestest boy, Kiko https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/kiko-heyv

I’ll take the microphone here. 🎤 Hi, I’m Sandy Dee. 😊 I’d like to clear up a few things... First of all, these are my real ears. No, I don’t know why they’re so big. No, I cannot fly. ✈️ I’ve tried. And my tongue? 👅 Listen... I didn’t ask for it. 🙃 It’s so big that half the time it’s just hanging out because it refuses to fit in my mouth. I drool a little, I smile a lot, and I look like I just finished eating the world’s largest peanut butter sandwich. 🥪 Now let’s talk about my breed. Your guess is as good as mine. German Shepherd? Maybe. Rottweiler? I’ve got the eyebrows. Bat? 🦇 Also possible. The nice people at R.E.A.L. Rottweiler Rescue looked at my little Rottie eyebrows and said, "Eh... she qualifies." So here I am. 😉 Before rescue, I was found by the sweetest baker. 🧁 Which, if you ask me, was the greatest missed opportunity of my life. 😒 You’re telling me I was rescued by someone surrounded by fresh bread, 🍞 cookies, 🍪 donuts, 🍩 and cakes 🍰... and I STILL ended up eating dog food? 🤢 I feel like I was robbed. 💰 Unfortunately, they couldn’t keep me, so they made sure I got somewhere safe. Now I’m hanging out with rescue while I search for people who appreciate a dog with satellite dishes 📡 attached to her head. Despite my comedy 🎤 career, I’m actually a really good girl. 🤩 I LOVE treats. If snacks were a college degree, I’d have my doctorate. 🎓 I’m young, eager to learn, and every time you teach me something new, I act like I just solved world peace. 🌎☮️ I’m also working on my food manners. Turns out I don’t have to inhale every meal like someone is about to steal it. Who knew? Every day I’m learning that my food isn’t going anywhere, and I’m getting better and better. 😋 I love adventures. 🛣️ I love walks. 🌳 I love people. 🧍‍♀️🧍 I love naps. 💤 I love being told I’m pretty... 😉 even if my ears enter the room five seconds before the rest of me. 🤭 What I’m really looking for is someone who doesn’t mind laughing every single day. Because life is simply more fun when your dog has ears that could catch satellite TV, a tongue with its own zip code, and enough love to fill your entire house. 🥹❤️ Adopt me. I promise I’ll always listen... Mostly because it’s physically impossible not to with these ears. 👂😂 I really hope to meet you soon! Cya later! 🐊💕 https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/sandy-dee-zkde

Here’s an updated version with Nico’s working-breed needs made very clear while keeping his playful personality. 💚 # 💚 Meet Nico! Hey, I’m Nico! I’m a young, handsome Rottweiler with brains, energy, and plenty of personality. 😏 I’m ready for walks, training, playtime, and spending time with my favorite people. But here’s something you need to know about me: **I AM A WORKING BREED!** 🐾 I need a daily job to be my best self. I’m smart, strong, curious, and eager to learn. I need more than a backyard and a few toys. I need a person who will challenge my brain, channel my energy, and help me reach my potential. What kind of job? You name it! - 🏃 Jogging or hiking partner - 👃 Scent work - 🎯 Rally obedience - 🎓 Advanced training - ❤️ Therapy dog work, if I’m suited to it - 🐾 Any appropriate activity that gives me a purpose! **I cannot be left home all day with nothing to do.** If I’m bored and under-stimulated, I’ll find my own job—and trust me, it might not be one you approve of! 😉 I need an active, involved owner who wants to work with me every day. I do well with female dogs around my size, but I’m **not a fit for homes with cats, small dogs, or other small animals.** I’m strong and can get enthusiastic, so I need someone experienced who can provide consistent training, structure, and clear boundaries. Underneath all that Rottweiler attitude is a boy who wants his own person. Give me leadership, patience, exercise, and a purpose, and we can build an incredible bond together. ❤️ ## ✅ MY MUST-HAVES - 💚 **An experienced owner** who understands Rottweilers and working breeds. - 🏃 **A daily job!** Hiking, jogging, scent work, rally, training, or another suitable activity that gives me purpose. - 🧠 **Daily mental stimulation.** My brain needs a workout just as much as my body. - 🎓 **Consistent training and clear boundaries.** I’m still learning, and I need someone willing to teach me. - ⏰ **An involved family.** I cannot spend all day alone with nothing to do. - 🐾 **Daily exercise, play, and meaningful interaction.** - 🐕 **A compatible female dog around my size may be a good fit**, with proper introductions and management. - ❤️ **A lifelong commitment** to helping me become the amazing dog I’m capable of being. ## ❌ MY MUST-NOTS - ❌ **No cats, small dogs, or other small animals.** - ❌ **No inexperienced owners** unprepared for a strong, energetic working breed. - ❌ **No home where I’m left alone all day with no activity or purpose.** - ❌ **No expecting a backyard to be enough.** I need structured exercise, training, and mental work. - ❌ **No hands-off approach.** I need daily involvement and guidance. - ❌ **No inconsistent rules or lack of boundaries.** - ❌ **No family expecting a perfectly trained dog right out of the box.** I’m still learning! ## 🖤 READY TO BE MY PERSON? I’m not looking for just any home. I’m looking for someone who wants a partner—not just a pet. Someone who will give me a job, challenge my mind, work with me, and help me succeed. If you’re ready to put in the work, I’ll be ready to meet you halfway. Let’s turn all this Rottweiler potential into something amazing! 💚🐾 **Apply to adopt me at [www.REALRottweilerRescue.com](http://www.REALRottweilerRescue.com)!** Condense the post for social mediaClarify Nico’s home requirements

Story
Hi there! 🩶 My name is Gunney, and I’m a 2-year-old bundle of love and energy looking for my forever home! I’m neutered, up to date on all my vaccines, and ready to give all the cuddles, tail wags, and kisses you can handle 😍. I came from a pretty scary place, a kill shelter in Oklahoma 😔. When I first arrived, I was super skinny, but thanks to lots of love, good food, and belly rubs, I’ve filled out nicely and am now feeling strong, healthy, and handsome 💪✨. I like to think I’ve leveled up from “hungry puppy” to “handsome heart-stealer!” I’m a super social boy who loves my dog friends. Max and Nova are my buddies, and we run around together like a little pack of adventurers 🐾. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and I even walk nicely on a leash. I like to explore, but I’m polite too! I do have a high prey drive for cats, so I would be happiest in a cat-free home 🫣🌳. I’m a loyal, sweet, and fun-loving guy who loves playtime, snuggles, and just being part of a family. Older kids are my favorite because they understand the art of gentle pets and belly rubs 😉. I promise I’ll be your best buddy for walks, couch cuddles, or just hanging out. I’m looking for a family who will love me for me, someone to throw the ball, run around the yard, and then snuggle up for some serious cuddle time 🥹. Could that be you? 💛 I’m ready, my tail is wagging, and my heart is full. Let’s meet soon!

Story
Hi everyone, it’s me, Nana Banana! 🍌 I’m looking for a new home, and I have a feeling my perfect person is out there somewhere. 😔 Let me tell you about me. I’m a LOVE BUG. 🐞 I adore my person and will happily follow you around the house, curl up beside you, put my head in your lap, and somehow try to crawl directly into your skin. I’m affectionate, loyal, goofy, cuddly, and independent all at once. I’m also a pretty typical Rottweiler mix when it comes to my home. When someone comes to the door or onto the property, 👀 I’m going to let you know about it. I bark, I alert, 🚨 and I take my job as home security seriously. 😳 That doesn’t mean I’m aggressive or that I don’t like people. In fact, the rescue coordinator personally met me and had absolutely no issues with me. I was happy to meet her, and I’ve been wonderful with people outside of my home. I’m just much more protective when someone comes into my house! Some dogs greet every person who walks through the door like they’ve been waiting their whole life for them. That’s not really my style. I’m a Rottweiler mix 😂 I like to know what’s going on around my home, and I need someone who understands that and knows how to manage and redirect me when visitors arrive. My current family is having trouble managing that behavior, but that doesn’t make me a bad dog. I’m truly one of the best dogs, and I have SO much love to give. 🥹 I’m house trained, crate trained, know sit, stay and break, and I’m still working on my “leave it.” I ride great in the car 🚗 , love my bones 🦴 and tennis balls, 🎾 enjoy belly rubs, and I’m perfectly happy entertaining myself or taking a good nap.😴 I do fine with male dogs! But I have a pretty strong prey drive when it comes to things like squirrels, rabbits and deer so no cats. What I really want is someone who understands strong breeds! understands that alerting when people come to the house is something we can work on and manage, and most importantly, sees the giant sweetheart underneath it all. Because once you’re my person? You’re MY person. ❤️ I’ll follow you everywhere. I’ll cuddle with you. I’ll put my head in your lap. I’ll give you the famous Rottweiler side eye. I’ll probably sleep in some completely ridiculous position and make little piggy 🐽 noises while sniffing around. I’m Nana Banana. 🍌 I’m loyal. I’m loving. I’m goofy. I’m cuddly. And I’m looking for the person who understands that being a Rottweiler doesn’t mean I have to love every stranger who walks through my front door.🚪 It just means I take my job seriously. 🐾 https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/nana-banana-q0yi

Story
Meet Rainbow, the 50-60 pound shepherd mix bundle of pure joy who is ready to splash her way straight into your heart! Turning 7 years young on October 18th, this spectacular girl found herself at The Rescue Inn through no fault of her own, and she is making it her personal mission to bring endless smiles to everyone she meets. If you are looking for a happy, active adult dog who is past the puppy chewing phase but still has tons of fun energy, Rainbow is your girl! The Ears That See Into the Future! We can’t talk about Rainbow without talking about her absolute best feature: those magnificent, upright, gravity-defying ears! They are truly a work of art and a source of constant entertainment. Are they dog ears? Or is she secretly... • A real-life fruit bat? (Just waiting for the right moment to take flight!) • A radar dish? (Perfect for tuning into the sound of a treat bag opening from three rooms away!) • A majestic jackrabbit? (Bouncing around with maximum cuteness!) • A pair of furry satellite antennas? (Picking up frequencies of pure love!) Whatever they look like, they perfectly frame her beautiful, intelligent shepherd face and express exactly how happy she is to see you! Kid-Tested & Mother-Approved! Rainbow is the ultimate family dog. She is currently thriving in her foster home, where she lives with young humans and has proven herself to be incredibly gentle, loving, and patient. She has earned the official stamp of approval from her foster mom! Dog Friendly (Big and Small!) Rainbow is a social butterfly when it comes to canine companions. Her current foster brother is Mo, a giant St. Bernard, and she handles her big brother with total grace. Before coming into foster care, she also lived successfully with a smaller-sized dog. She is truly adaptable and loves having a furry friend around! Splish, Splash, She Loves a Bath (or a Hose, or a Pool!) If there is water nearby, Rainbow will find it! She is an absolute water enthusiast. Whether it’s splashing in a kiddie pool, chasing streams from the backyard hose, or joining you for a day by the lake, water is her absolute happy place. Rainbow is fully vetted, full of life, and waiting in her foster home for a family to call her own.
