Story
Have you ever wanted a goofy 93 lb. lap dog?? Prince is your guy!!We were finally able to pull Prince from the shelter, thanks to our wonderful fosters!!Prince is a loveable, playful, charming guy who is good with other pups and is fantastic with cats! He is up to date on vaccines & vetting. He was euth listed at a local shelter after a minor bite incident in which he clearly expressed discomfort and his warning signals were ignored. He was a staff/volunteer favorite, while at the shelter. He is with foster parents who are extremely dedicated to setting all of the dogs that they foster up for success, They really work to understand their quirks & work through any issues they might have. Prince is really becoming his best self, and is ready to find his forever family. He is muzzle trained. Prince does prefer a quiet, adult only household. He is somewhat slow to warm up to new people, especially men. If you are patient & give him enough treats and calm slow interactions, he will end up being your best friend.

Story
Meet Tallulah! Tallulah is about 4 months old and is very much a Rottweiler puppy in every sense of the word. She is busy, active, playful, curious, and currently thinks everything belongs in her mouth. If she can pick it up, she probably will. She loves to play, loves people, loves other dogs, and when she finally wears herself out, she is also very loving and cuddly. She can be a little shy at first when meeting new dogs, but she warms up pretty quickly and then is usually ready to play. Potty training is still a work in progress. Oof. She’s a baby, so whoever adopts her will need to keep working with her on that. She is also learning how to walk on a leash and is actually doing pretty well with it. Tallulah came to us from a high-volume breeder/puppy mill situation. She was either born with a spinal abnormality or suffered an injury very early in life. Her spine is crimped, but her spinal cord is intact. It does not cause her any pain. She just walks a little differently, and at this time we do not expect it to cause her major long-term issues. Tallulah is going to need a family who understands that puppies are work. She needs continued training, structure, patience, exercise, and a steady supply of things she is actually allowed to put in her mouth. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $350. Applicants must live within a one-hour driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio. A complete and approved application is required before an in-home meet and greet. Apply at onek9.net/apply. Apply to adopt on GetBuddy

Story
I was living outside with another dog and during our very hot summer my companion dog passed away. We were left without water and a way to escape the heat. I thankfully made it out of that situation and landed in a foster home. I would do best in a home with another dog or with someone who is home majority of the time.

Story
Hi, I’m Kiko. 💙 I’m pretty sure I was supposed to be someone else’s dog a long time ago. I spent far longer in the shelter than dogs usually do. The kind of long that doesn’t make much sense. Every day I watched dogs get adopted or end up on the euthanasia list. Somehow, the staff never gave up on me. They kept believing there was something special about me. 🥹 Turns out, they were right. 💙 I’m the kind of dog who makes himself at home in your heart almost immediately. 🥹 I’ll also make myself at home in your bed because, respectfully, I have no interest in sleeping anywhere else. 🤭 I’m sweet in a way that’s hard to explain until you meet me. 🧁 I hand out kisses like they’re free, give hugs whenever I can, and somehow manage to be both a goofy class clown 🤡 and the world’s biggest cuddle bug. 🥰 My foster laughs every single day because of my signature gallop. 🏇 When I come bouncing out of my kennel, my legs seem to have plans of their own. It’s impossible not to smile watching me. ☺️ Speaking of kennels… 🙄 I’m still working on that whole crate thing. It’s not exactly my favorite place. I’d much rather be wherever my people are, preferably with a squeaky toy 🎾 nearby and belly rubs waiting for me. Life is exciting, and I’m determined to experience all of it. 😁 Walks are wonderful. Chasing a ball is even better. Bringing it back, Well… I think that part is optional. 😉 I’ll happily go get it, but then it becomes a team building exercise because you have to come get it too. I’m really just looking out for your cardio. 😋 Water… 🚿 baths… 🛁 rain… 🌧️ I haven’t quite decided how I feel about all that yet, but I’m definitely going to investigate. 👀 Now, about cats… 🐈 I know everyone always asks. I’m not looking to chase them. I just have questions, okay 🙃 We can be curious together. Squirrels, though 🐿️ I’m convinced they’re up to something. Weird little things 😟 I absolutely adore other dogs. 🐶 They’re usually my favorite introductions, and I would love a home with a canine best friend. I play nicely, I’m submissive, and having another dog helps me feel confident while I’m still figuring out this whole “being a family dog” thing. I’m house trained, I ride great in the car, 🚙 I know how to sit, and I’m learning something new every day. I’m curious about everything, determined to keep trying, and sweet enough that you’ll forgive the occasional puppy mistake. 🫣 One of my funniest habits is carrying pieces of my food somewhere else before I eat them. 🦴 Apparently dining rooms are overrated. I also gently nibble my toys 🧸 instead of destroying them, and when I finally settle down, you’ll probably find me asleep upside down with all four paws in the air. 💤🥱 My perfect home is one with people looking for a true best friend, at least one playful dog, and a family that enjoys a morning adventure followed by a cozy evening on the couch. I have energy to burn, but once I’ve had my fun, I’m more than happy to curl up beside you because being close to my people is my favorite place to be. ☺️ I’ve waited longer than I ever should have. Now I’m just waiting for the family who will finally look at me and say… “There you are.” 💙 Maybe that’s you. I sure hope it is. 🤍 Love the bestest boy, Kiko https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/kiko-heyv

Story
I’ll take the microphone here. 🎤 Hi, I’m Sandy Dee. 😊 I’d like to clear up a few things... First of all, these are my real ears. No, I don’t know why they’re so big. No, I cannot fly. ✈️ I’ve tried. And my tongue? 👅 Listen... I didn’t ask for it. 🙃 It’s so big that half the time it’s just hanging out because it refuses to fit in my mouth. I drool a little, I smile a lot, and I look like I just finished eating the world’s largest peanut butter sandwich. 🥪 Now let’s talk about my breed. Your guess is as good as mine. German Shepherd? Maybe. Rottweiler? I’ve got the eyebrows. Bat? 🦇 Also possible. The nice people at R.E.A.L. Rottweiler Rescue looked at my little Rottie eyebrows and said, "Eh... she qualifies." So here I am. 😉 Before rescue, I was found by the sweetest baker. 🧁 Which, if you ask me, was the greatest missed opportunity of my life. 😒 You’re telling me I was rescued by someone surrounded by fresh bread, 🍞 cookies, 🍪 donuts, 🍩 and cakes 🍰... and I STILL ended up eating dog food? 🤢 I feel like I was robbed. 💰 Unfortunately, they couldn’t keep me, so they made sure I got somewhere safe. Now I’m hanging out with rescue while I search for people who appreciate a dog with satellite dishes 📡 attached to her head. Despite my comedy 🎤 career, I’m actually a really good girl. 🤩 I LOVE treats. If snacks were a college degree, I’d have my doctorate. 🎓 I’m young, eager to learn, and every time you teach me something new, I act like I just solved world peace. 🌎☮️ I’m also working on my food manners. Turns out I don’t have to inhale every meal like someone is about to steal it. Who knew? Every day I’m learning that my food isn’t going anywhere, and I’m getting better and better. 😋 I love adventures. 🛣️ I love walks. 🌳 I love people. 🧍‍♀️🧍 I love naps. 💤 I love being told I’m pretty... 😉 even if my ears enter the room five seconds before the rest of me. 🤭 What I’m really looking for is someone who doesn’t mind laughing every single day. Because life is simply more fun when your dog has ears that could catch satellite TV, a tongue with its own zip code, and enough love to fill your entire house. 🥹❤️ Adopt me. I promise I’ll always listen... Mostly because it’s physically impossible not to with these ears. 👂😂 I really hope to meet you soon! Cya later! 🐊💕 https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/sandy-dee-zkde

Hi! I’m Koana. 🌺 And I have a few questions. Like… What’s that? Can I chase it? Is that the hose?! Can I have the hose?! WHY ARE WE NOT PLAYING WITH THE WATER HOSE RIGHT NOW?! The hose is, without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind. I would happily spend my entire day chasing water. 💦 I’m a playful, curious, athletic girl who LOVES attention. I’m basically a Velcro dog with a tiny independent streak. I’ll follow you around the house, then occasionally wander off to investigate something extremely important… like a squirrel. 🐿️ And when I want affection, I have a very specific technique. I will wedge myself between your legs, fold myself practically in half, and wait for the belly rubs. Yes, I realize I am a rather large Rottweiler. No, I do not understand why that should prevent me from becoming a pretzel 🥨 in your lap. 😉 I’m also a total lover. I’ll lean my head against you and give you my paw because apparently that is how I say, “You’re my person.” ❤️ But here’s the part I don’t understand… 😔 I’ve been returned to the same shelter FOUR TIMES. Four. I’m not really sure why. 🤨 Maybe it’s because my adoption fee was only seven dollars, and apparently some people thought that meant I was a $7 impulse purchase instead of an actual living, feeling dog who needed commitment. 🥺 Whatever the reason, the rescue is making sure my fifth chapter is the one where I find my forever home! I can be a little suspicious when I first meet people, especially men, and loud voices or quick movements can make me nervous. 😬 I’ve learned that sometimes people aren’t very gentle, 😔 so I’m still learning that I’m safe now. But give me patience, kindness, and a little time, and you’ll see the real me come out. And the real me? I’m a little lover. ❤️ I’m smart. 🧠 I learn quickly. I know sit, down, and paw, and I’m working on wait. I even figured out the dog door all by myself because apparently I have places to be. 🐿️👀 I’m athletic and would LOVE a family who wants to actually do things with me. Hiking? 🥾 YES. Training? YES. Adventures? ⛺️ ABSOLUTELY. A job to do? Please and thank you. ☺️ I’m generally calm in the house and settle nicely. I’m happy sleeping in my bed, 🛌 preferably near my people, and I’m perfectly fine being home alone. I’ll even sleep at your feet while you watch TV. 📺 Other dogs? I’ve done well with a big older boy and enjoy playing with dogs who want to play. 🎾 I would probably love having a male dog around my size as a buddy. I do have a very high prey drive, though, so squirrels, rabbits, lizards, and frogs should probably consider relocating. 👀🐿️ And if you have a hose? Well… I’m already packing. 🧳💦 I’ve been given four chances already. I’m really hoping someone will give me the one that counts. 🥹 The chance to stop being the dog who gets returned… and finally become the dog who gets home. ❤️ Love, Koana 🌺 P.S. If you adopt me, please understand that you are also adopting a part time squirrel patrol officer and a full time hose enthusiast. There will be no refunds on either position. 😉 https://www.realrottweilerrescue.com/dogs/koana-mf8d
