Oh my gosh, are you here to read more about little ol’ me? Oh, where do I start! Well, I’m just a happy doggo trying to live my best life and match up with a new family. DAS is helping me search, isn’t that cool? We’re still getting to know each other, but I think we’re going to find me some great friends. I’ve let them know that I enjoy long walks on warm evenings, trying all kinds of new snacks, and chewing on doggie toys. Who doesn’t love those things? Speaking of snacks, I’ve heard that Dallas is an exciting doggie-friendly place for food enthusiasts! I’d love to check out a few patios some day with my new family. Puppy Peaches came to our rescue when she was 8 days old. She was surrendered to the shelter with her mom and siblings. She’s a survivor and oh so adorable!! She’s potty trained, vaccinated, microchiped, dog friendly, people friendly, and ready for a home of her own!

Meet Lottie! She is very laid-back, calm and gentle. Lottie is a 3yr old 78lb Rottweiler mix that came to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/7 as a stray. Lottie has a shiny coat and beautiful golden eyes. She followed me around the yard. She came from the across the yard when I called her. She did spend a lot of time walking around the yard. She does have a semi-strong pull on the leash. She did do her business in the yard. She was reactive to a dog in a kennel next to hers. If you have another dog we advise you to ask the shelter for a dog test. Lottie would most likely be a very loyal companion to her family. She just wants to chill out. A yard would be beneficial. She wants to be in the house so she can share precious family time.

Born around the end of December 2023, Sadie embraces the full joyous exuberance of any purebred Rottweiler but imbued with an innate sweetness and gentleness. She does bring a physicality to her play and an intelligence that propels her to explore her environment. She stresses a bit in unfamiliar and crowded venues and becomes easily distracted but is working on learning to relax and maintain focus on her handler. She has recently completed basic obedience training and would welcome advanced training as a bonding experience with her adopter. Sadie could be a good hiking or even biking companion with guidance - her finder reported that she liked to travel alongside their golf cart as they drove around their property. Sadie does require monitoring as she is still much like an adolescent in her explorations and some things discovered should not be chewed on.
