Story
Hi, my name is Tito, I'm seven months old and weigh about 55 lbs. Best guess is that I am a Labrador Retriever, mixed with Doberman, Rottweiler, or Black and Tan Hound. Big emphasis on the guess part! I am super freindly with everyone I meet. I love playing, but I'm also pretty laid back for a puppy. Foster mom says I am very smart because I learned to sit for a treat. (I would do just about anything for a treat!) I do well at adoption events, meeting and playing with the other dogs there, and the people love me and say that I'm a very handsome boy. The only little problem I have is that I don't like to walk on leash. I just need a little more practice and encouragement. I love my foster family, but I'm ready to find my forever home, so please submit your application to adopt me, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Athena is a 4‑year‑old dog who is both house‑trained and crate‑trained. She is treat‑motivated and knows several commands, including sit, lay down, and stay. She can be territorial with her toys and collar, and she tends to pull ahead on the leash. Athena completed an extensive obedience training program that improved many behaviors, though she may still snap on occasion. With continued structure, these behaviors can keep improving, but we are unable to maintain the level of training she needs. She has never bitten anyone or any dog.Athena is very protective of her family and can become reactive during vet visits. As a COVID‑era dog, she has had limited socialization. She is energetic, curious, and thrives with space, activity, and patience. We can no longer provide the time and engagement she deserves, and we hope to find her a loving home where she can continue to grow and feel supported.

Story
Bear is a big lover boy who is rather lazy. He’s regal, loyal and a good listener. He loves to be close to his people and is ALWAYS up for snuggling. He doesn’t do any tricks but he listens when directed. We’re relocating our family from a large oversized house with a yard in Texas to be closer to family in Florida with a much smaller house. Bear can be a bit standoffish when new people, especially large males, but quickly he becomes your best friend and will sit on your foot, or even the couch next to you, lol! (See pic). He’s a sweet boy and we love him very much but we can’t relocate with him so we really home to find a great home for him!

Story
Meet the always hungry Smokey but I call him Smoke Dawg. He is a 4-year-old 65 lb Rottweiler, with a tank-like body and a lovable demeanor. I got Smokey from a relative three weeks ago to give him a good life until I can rehome him. Smokey's life up until this point hasn't been the best. His first owners were abusive and the family member I got him from neglected his health. When I got him and took him to the vet, he was diagnosed with hook worms, whip worms, heart worms, and had an infected patch of skin on his back while also being tick and flea infested and hadn't been bathed in years. He also has weak back legs that buckle and the therapist believes he either has hip dysplasia or tore both ACLs at some point and never got to heal properly. Since getting him, he's been given all of his vaccinations, been microchipped, treated for his GI worms, started on his heartworm treatment, treated for his flea and ticks and been given preventative, given a steroid for his infected skin, and given an immunosuppressant for his constant scratching. He would often times scratch until he bled and not sleep. He has since improved drastically and is much more energetic and stronger. He's such a fighter. Smokey is a calm yet playful pup who loves to wrestle, go on walks, bark at random things passing by, and most of all, eat. Smokey is one to always beg for food and will eat just about anything in front of him. He/she gets along with dogs but cats are unknown and currently lives with Indy, my other dog. He doesn’t have much history with other animals aside from Indy and they get along well even if he eats all her snacks she tries to save for later. Smokey likes to cuddle up with his humans and play fight until he’s tired. Hint: playing with him gets him to go potty. An ideal home for Smokey would be one with a yard for him to run around in and toys to chew on. He’s a big chewer and loves a good bone or piece of rough clothing. Smokey, at his heart, is an outside dog best suited for a backyard to laze around in. He does well inside but can get restless and make a bit of a mess so beware. Smokey is crate trained but will bark until he tires and then sleep all day, leash trained but sometimes like to hunker down to finish sniffing, and house trained but will mark every now and then if left unsupervised, and knows Sit, Gimme Paw, and Catch. I’m currently teaching how to give his other paw and lay down. He is one smart pup! Smokey loves car rides and to let the wind blow through his jowls. He also loves just about any treat you give him. He is not picky unless it’s vegetables! He’s a machine. Oh, also, the cutest thing he does is walk in circles around you and make deep grunting noises out of excitement when you're home. This adorable pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Smokey today! This pet is participating in the Dallas Pets Alive rehoming program. Story
Meet Eddie, a young, sweet soul, eager for a forever home. He is a Boxer/Black Mouth Cur mix and weighs 80 lbs. He's the epitome of joy, blending his smart, playful nature with an independent streak that's simply endearing. Eddie's goofy antics and gentle demeanor make him a delightful companion, always ready for a game or a cuddle. His energy is infectious, and his bravery is admirable, making every day an adventure. Eddie adores people and thrives during his zoomie sessions. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving friend, Eddie is your perfect match! Eddie loves people and kids. Watch out for his wiggly tail. He is good around other non-alpha dogs. So far has been very patient with cats letting them smell and rub on him. He loves going on walks and spending time outdoors. He will need a minimum of 6 ft fenced backyard to keep him from going off exploring. Eddie would like another dog in the home to be his new best friend. Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.
