Howie was scheduled to be euthanized at Dallas Animal Services; I saved him and am looking for a good home. Howie is approximately 9 yrs old. He loves people but may be a bit protective. He lives with 2 other dogs and a blind cat. He did have some issues in the beginning trying to acclimate to the pack but is now doing well. He loves toys and food and sometimes may get a little aggressive with the other dogs if they try to take from him. Howie just wants his own person to adore. He will follow you everywhere. He does not get on furniture but loves his doggy bed. Howie does not like to be confined. He will have some separation anxiety at first. Howie would be great for a retired person that wants company and a best friend. Howie may do best in a home, as he will let you know when he hears strange noises or sees someone walking by.

Abandoned at a gas station, emaciated and struggling to survive, Sophie was given a second chance at life when she was rescued and transported to DFW. After spending almost 2 years in foster care, Sophie has blossomed into a healthy and happy dog. She's a bit of a couch potato, spending most of her day lounging in her bed, but she loves to spring into action when it's time to eat! Sophie gets the zoomies once or twice a day and enjoys running around in the yard. She's a bit of a homebody and prefers to be indoors, doing her business and then heading back to the door. Meet Gaspar! He is a 4 month old, 26 lb Pittie mix. He is a very handsome pup with unique silver/gray/blue coloring. He was found living in the woods with mom and eight littermates. Most of his brothers and sisters have been adopted, but mom (Dot), brother (Tito) and Gaspar are all waiting for their forever homes. He is not quite housebroken yet, but he's working on it and will use puppy pads until fully housetrained. He loves to play with other dogs and toys, and just have fun and enjoy life. Gaspar is a little on the shy side because living in the woods was scary, but he has made great progress with his wonderful foster people, and he will warm up quickly once he feels safe and secure.
