Story
Hutch is a shy boy that takes a minute to trust and to warm up to strangers. As you can see from his photos, once he has a minute, he is just a lover! He gets along great with other dogs, is house, crate and leash trained. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Meet Red –  A True Soul Dog and Gentleman “Some dogs come into your life, and some dogs become your life. A soul dog is never just a pet—they are a part of you that finally made it home.” As his foster, I truly believe Red is one of those soul dogs, just looking for his true person. Red has faced challenges in life, but none of this was ever his fault. His previous family struggled to care for him consistently, yet he remained loyal, kind, and always there for them. Now he’s ready for a stable, loving forever home. Red is an 8-year-old, 86-pound Boxer mix with a honey-brown coat, soulful brown eyes, a striking white blaze and chest, and four white socks. He’s a gentle giant—loyal, smart, loving, and full of heart. Red is crate and house trained, walks perfectly on leash, knows sit and shake with both paws, rides beautifully in the car, and has excellent house manners. He is fantastic with kids, other dogs, and cats, he loves snuggles, Netflix marathons, calm walks when the weather is nice, and relaxing indoors on a cozy bed. Red is a true companion who simply loves being near you. Red deserves a home where he will be cherished as a full indoor family member, treated with love, patience, and stability. He is ready to give his whole heart to the family lucky enough to adopt him. About Red: 8 years old Boxer mix Neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines  Heartworm negative House & crate trained Kid-friendly Dog and Cat-friendly Great on leash Loves fetch, car rides, and cuddles Red's adoption fee is $200, covering his neuter, vaccinations, dewormer, first dose of heartworm prevention, and microchip. Ready to meet Red? Apply at legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application, and his foster mom will be in touch! We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
Meet Bella, a sweet and loving 3 year old female pit bull looking for the right forever home. She is incredibly affectionate with people and loves attention, playtime, and running around outside. She has a lot of energy and truly thrives when she can be active. Like many young pit bulls, she enjoys chewing and would do best in a home that can provide appropriate toys, structure, and supervision. She can be reactive or aggressive toward other dogs, so she should be handled by someone experienced and confident with the breed. This decision was not made lightly. Due to being older and realizing the physical demands and training needs of a strong, high-energy dog, it’s become clear that she deserves a home better suited to meet her needs. She would do best with an experienced owner who understands pit bulls and can provide consistent guidance. She was recently adopted from SPCA and is up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped.

Story
Bobby has been thriving in his foster home, learning how to live in a home environment and gaining confidence along the way. He’s a smart boy who follows directions well, though he can be a little nervous when new people visit. If given time and space, he quickly realizes they’re not so scary. Bobby walks great on a leash but needs a slow, patient approach when meeting new people. This sweet, goofy boy has been through a lot. He and his five littermates were abandoned at a shelter at just three weeks old, where they were exposed to distemper. Only three survived, and Bobby was one of them. Now, after spending over two years in rescue, he’s still waiting for a place to call home. Bobby would do best in a home without young children, ideally with kids aged 10 and up. Bobby is a 2 1/2 year old Pit Bull/Heeler/German Shepherd/Husky mix. Due to his breed makeup, no apartments please. If you are interested in adopting Bobby, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash, Zelle, Venmo or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1702303##

Story
Dirk is a 3 year old, 33 lb, Pit Bull/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He was dumped along with 2 other dogs and we have no idea why. This boy is absolutely precious! He LOVES to be with his people and is a well mannered boy. He would do best with someone that works from home or is home most of the time. He does good with other dogs, and loves to play. He would do best in the home with another dog who also loves to play! He is kennel trained and potty trained. He is currenlty in a home with a 7 year old child and is good with him, but we do not know how he is with younger children. Due to his breed makeup, no apartments please!
