Story
*BONDED TO IGNACIO* Hi, I'm Wally—the muscle... or at least the one with the bigger bark. 🐾 I'm a 2-year-old Bichon mix with a soft heart, an even softer coat (that needs regular grooming!), and one very important job: sticking close to my best friend, Iggy. We've grown up together, and we're completely devoted to each other, so we're looking for a family that will welcome us both. I may let Iggy handle the brave stuff, but once I know you're safe, I'm all about cuddles, naps, and soaking up every bit of attention you have to offer. My favorite hobbies include following Iggy around, chewing on my favorite hard toys, going for walks, and politely tapping you with my paw when I believe the petting should continue. I'm a little slower to warm up to new people than Iggy, but don't mistake that for a lack of love. I just like to take my time. Once I trust you, you'll have a devoted cuddle buddy who wants nothing more than to relax by your side. Together, Iggy and I are calm, affectionate, potty trained, and happy to spend our days napping near our people before heading out for a stroll. If you have room in your heart for two sweet boys who adore each other as much as they'll adore you, we can't wait to meet you.

Story
Matilda is a sweet little girl looking for a family that will love having a tiny shadow by their side. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, you’ll have a loyal best friend for life. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch, doing chores around the house, gardening in the backyard, or just going about your day, Matilda wants to be right there with you. She loves being involved in everything you do and is happiest when she’s close to her person. Matilda is quite the chatterbox! If you talk to her, she’ll happily “talk” right back. She also loves to play, and her absolute favorite toy is a ball. She’ll never say no to a game of fetch. She has done very well with cats and has also been good with other small dogs. Because Matilda likes to bark, especially when left alone, she would do best in a home without shared walls, such as a single-family home rather than an apartment or townhouse. Matilda appears to have some separation anxiety and doesn’t enjoy being left by herself for long periods. She would thrive with someone who is home often or can continue helping her build confidence while she’s alone. In return, you’ll gain one of the most devoted, loving companions you could ask for. If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick who will love you with her whole heart, Matilda may be the perfect match.

Story
Some dogs are able to recover from neglect or abuse faster than others…..if only they could tell us about those early years of their life. Cody is a 3.5 yr old. 13# male Shih Tzu/maltese former breeder dog that is still in the process of his recovery, and is hoping someone with patience and previous dog experience is able to take him and continue working with him. Another small, playful dog and a secure fenced yard are also requirements to help him be successful. Cody would not be suited to a family with children of any age because of his fears of new people, loud noises, and fast movements. He has been in his foster home for quite a while – he trusts his foster mom, and is relaxed and seeks attention from her, but transitioning into a new home could be like starting all over again. Let me tell you more about him. His foster mom is retired, and home with him most of the time. Cody prefers to approach her for cuddle time when she is sitting or laying down, instead of towering over him. He comes to her when she calls him inside the house, but doesn’t have recall when he is out in the yard, so he is either contained in a kennel area when out, or drags a long leash around in his fenced area so you can use that instead of grabbing at him when he’s out. If someone scares or forces him, or raises their voice, it takes quite a while for him to forgive you. He tolerates meeting new people, but is more fearful of men and might try to hide from them. His foster home has a doggie door that he has learned to use, but his new home might not; Cody is willing to go out into the cold for a short time, so you will need to establish a schedule that works for him, and have a potty pad down for emergencies. His meals are dry food soaked in water for 5 minutes – he can be reluctant to eat, and acts like he is watching for new people to approach. Cody is most comfortable around the resident dogs, and loves to run and play with them. The other dog/dogs in the home should be tolerant, playful, be good pack leaders and “show him the ropes”. Cody rides OK in the car, in a crate. In warmer weather, he has been taken on short walks – doesn’t understand the purpose of a walk when there is a perfectly wonderful fenced yard to run around in. Cody has a loud bark, so best suited to single-family home instead of a building that shares a wall with another family. Cody is neutered, and current on vaccinations. The heartworm test and tick profile are all negative. He requires grooming about every 3 months. If you have questions, or would like to adopt Cody, call 651-771-5662. His adoption fee is $300 .

Story
We are needing to rehome our daughter’s dog as she is unable to have him at her new home. He is six years old, friendly and housetrained. She has been unable to afford to keep up with his grooming so he is a bit shaggy at the moment since she’s been clipping it herself. He is neutered and has always been healthy.
