Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. Beau is 2/12 yrs. He is partially potty trained because of the cold winter he can't handle going outside so he wears potty wraps. But once weather is warmer about 30 deg he can be taken outside. It will take patience since he was inside so much for months. But he is a cute little squirt. Likes attention and plays with toys, likes chewies, is good with getting treats if you want to teach him simple tricks, and loves to play and chase little balls. But he will get bored if he is alone too long. He has been used to my other dogs to play with. Is leash trained. He loves dog parks to run and exercise and he has done fine at doggy daycare. He needs a kind gentle speaking voice or he will be scared if yelled at or spoken to harshly. Responds to positive reinforcement. Could be left in a kennel large enough to move around and play with toys if needed when you leave as long as you only are gone for 4 hrs. He is not a dog to leave if you have a full time job. Joey is an adorable, sweet little 8 year old charcoal Shih Tzu who weighs 8 pounds. Now you would think that a pup that small would be timid and shy. Not Joey, he has a big personality in that little body. He is quite sure he is the center of the world and is very vocal about it when things are not to his expectations. He absolutely expects to sleep in the bed with you, or no one will be sleeping. He loves his foster mom’s bed and often wants to take an afternoon nap there. While Joey is friendly and good with other dogs, he’d do best as an only dog in a quiet household where he can be the center of attention. Joey has separation anxiety, and he is used to someone being with him most of the time. His foster family is working with him to overcome some undesirable personality traits when he gets jealous of another dog and he is not the center of attention, or when he’s left alone. His adoptive family must to understand his insecurity and will need to continue working with him. Joey came from a loving, quiet home where his owner passed away.
