This adorable Shih Tzu is the definition of a companion dog. Sweet, gentle, and incredibly affectionate, Walter forms a strong bond with his people and simply loves being wherever they are. Walter is an easygoing little guy with a heart full of happiness. He’ll happily follow you from room to room, making sure you’re never alone, and he’s always ready to exchange a few cuddles for some ear scratches. His favorite place is wherever his favorite person happens to be. This handsome boy has never met a stranger! Everyone is greeted with a wagging tail and his signature happy attitude. Whether it’s visitors, veterinary staff, or someone he meets on a walk, Walter is convinced they’re all potential new friends. He was an absolute favorite at the veterinary clinic thanks to his sweet, easygoing personality. Walter also gets along wonderfully with other dog-friendly dogs. He enjoys playing with canine companions, sharing toys, and making new four-legged friends. While he would likely love having another playful dog in the home, his greatest joy is simply spending time with his people. He’s still exploring the wonderful world of toys and hasn’t picked a favorite just yet. Instead, Walter likes to carry different toys around in his mouth as if he’s proudly showing off his latest treasure. It’s one of his many adorable little quirks that will make you smile. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. Meet Arnold and Palmer! This adorable bonded pair of Shih Tzu mixes came to us from one of our rescue partners and are looking for a forever home together. Arnold is the confident leader of the duo. He always keeps an eye on Palmer, making sure his best friend is close by and safe. Palmer is happy to let Arnold take charge, and the two share a special bond that`s impossible to miss. Wherever one goes, the other is sure to follow. Both boys are incredibly sweet, love people, and enjoy spending time with their favorite humans. They`ll need regular grooming appointments to keep their coats healthy and looking their best, but they`ll reward you with plenty of love and companionship. About Me Meet Kokie, a young pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. At just the right age for adventure and cuddles, Kokie brings a perfect balance of play and relaxation to every day. He’s a professional cuddler who will happily curl up next to you on the couch, head in your lap, always ready for a belly rub or a nap in front of the fan. Kokie starts his mornings with a gentle wake-up (unless you’re up first!), a quick potty break, and a walk where he loves to sniff every new scent. He’s crate trained, sleeps well in his kennel, and is leash trained for easy strolls. Kokie enjoys four potty breaks a day and is content to relax wherever you are—especially if there’s a breeze on the patio or a cozy spot to watch TV. He’s friendly with other dogs and loves to play, often carrying his toys around in hopes you’ll join in a game of fetch. Kokie’s the ultimate greeter, always happy to see you, and he’ll make you laugh with his habit of barking at his own reflection. He’s calm and gentle, but gets adorably excited during playtime with dog friends. Kokie does have an underbite, but it doesn’t slow him down or dampen his spirit. Lady Di is just her undercover alias. Around here she’s known as Cookie ( or Cooks, if you’re one of her friends ….which happens to be everyone:). This 11 month old 10 lb shih tzu is serving up serious cookies and cream perfection with her adorable and less sheddy black and white coat. She’s as sweet as can be and everyone loves her….just like a cookie. Kids? Loves them. Dogs? Loves alll her foster friends and there are six plus a cat and two kittens. Now…for the headline you’ve all been waiting for….. * COOKIE IS POTTY TRAINED! Not mostly, not working on it…actually potty trained…like she goes to the front door or back and scratches on it to go out. Hallelujah! I been fostering a loooooong time and this is gift I tell you. Cookie isn’t your typical wild child pup. She’s very calm unless she see’s a cat or squirrel. With the squirrels …her intentions are questionable... so no squirrel friends!! She loves a nice short walk outside ,but will also cuddle up on the couch. She is crate trained, but would rather sleep in your bed and has earned the right with those excellent potty skills…. Meet Cody James! 🐾 Cody James is an 8-year-old breeder release Shih Tzu who’s discovering just how wonderful life can be! Every day, his sweet personality shines a little brighter. While he’s still working on potty training and isn’t leash trained yet, Cody James is making wonderful progress. He’ll need a home with a securely fenced, above-ground yard where he can safely explore and continue building his confidence. Although he’s naturally a bit shy around new people, Cody James has come a long way in foster care. He now seeks out affection from his foster mom, happily comes to sit by her feet, and is learning that people can be pretty amazing. Cody James gets along well with other dogs and politely ignores the resident cat. Every now and then, you’ll even catch him watching TV—and if something catches his eye, he may just have a few opinions to share with the characters on the screen! 📺🐶 The best part about Cody James is his incredible potential.
