Name: Mayor Fluffins Breeds: Shih Tzu/Doodle Mix Age: Puppy Sex: Male Size: Expected to be a small-medium dog as an adult Mayor Fluffins is a shih tzu/doodle type mix puppy who is all about loving on everyone, playing with every dog, and bringing joy everywhere he goes. He is excellent with other dogs, great with cats, and loves kids but he is all puppy so chewing, mouthing, and playful jumping all come with the territory of that! He has more of the shih tzu type coat and does not appear to shed so his adoptive home needs to be prepared for frequent brushing and grooming every 6-8 weeks to prevent him from getting matted. Rescued: 7/19/2022 Age at the time of rescue: 3 years Current weight: 8 pounds What an amazing survivor! Cruiser has beaten the odds and is living his best life, but we know he deserves more than a shelter life. He was hit by a car and never take to a veterinarian for evaluation. His spinal column was crushed leaving him without the ability to control his bowel or urine heartbreakingly. He uses his diapers and is such a good boy! Full of energy, love and desire for life. He is fast in his wheelchair and loves running around. We are looking for a home that understands his challenges, but welcomes his passion for life. We provide him some special food to help with his challenges, but he's thriving! Fully vetted, sterilized and ready to fly home with his wheelchair! I may be a senior, but let me tell you, I’ve still got plenty of love and energy to go around. I’m a total indoor dog—I mean, who needs the great outdoors when you’ve got all the cozy comforts of home, right? Whether it’s rain or shine, I’m perfectly content to do my business outside and then hurry back indoors for some quality snuggle time. Toys? Oh, I can’t get enough of them! Soft, crinkly, you name it—I’ll play with anything you give me.  I do not need a fenced yar, as long as you always go out with me.. Sure, I enjoy the occasional walk, but I’m not dependent on it for bathroom breaks. I’m more of a in-and-out kind of guy when it comes to outdoor activities. Plus, I’m not the best on a leash and new things can make me a little nervous, so having a safe and secure yard where I can play without worry sounds like a dream. But let me tell you, when it comes to snuggles, I’m the absolute best. I’ll cuddle up with you for hours on end, bringing joy and warmth to your home every single day. I am prone to allergies and ear infections. To keep these in check, I am on the Adored Beast Leaky Gut allergy protocol.  I also eat raw rabbit, which is the best protein source for me.  I love it so much, there are no words!  My allergies have also improved considerably since I started on this yummy food and supplements.  I do also have dry eye, fairly common to my breed and I just need an eye drop in each eye, twice a day.  I don’t mind this at all because I know it will make my eyes more comfortable. So if you’re looking for a loving companion who’s just as happy playing with toys as he is snuggling up on the couch, then look no further—I’m your guy, Archie, ready to bring a whole lot of love into your life! P.S. My foster has chickens and ducks and I am fine with both, even when they free range around me. I'm a 4-month-old Shih Tzu puppy, and I've got loads of puppy energy and charm to share! I may be little, weighing just 6 pounds, but I’ve got a big personality. I love playing with chew bones, stuffies, and running around with other dogs—it’s my favorite way to spend the day! I’m a happy, playful pup who’s always up for some fun, but I can be a bit shy at first when meeting new people. Once I get comfortable, I love being picked up and will come when called. I also get along great with kids, but would prefer older, respectful kids in my forever home that understand my size.  At night, I sleep in my crate inside a pen, so I’m getting the hang of the crate thing. I’m still working on my potty training, but hey, I’m just a puppy! I’ll get there with time and patience. Right now, I working on leash training and if you promise to keep practicing with me, I don’t need a fenced yard.  If you’re looking for a confident, friendly, and happy little guy to join your family, I’m your perfect match! Just give me a little time to adjust, and I promise I’ll be your new best friend. Please note: Theo has an inguinal hernia that will be fixed when he is neutered. Also, he has shown some signs of a neurological issue (lazy eye) that may be due to a mild brain injury at birth or other unknown reason that occurred before he arrived to Underdog Rescue. He acts, eats and plays normal for a happy puppy his age. *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours.
