Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Bogie! He is a 3-year-old, 11 lb, Shih Tzu who was a stray and came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Bogie is a sweet boy who lost his leg shortly after being picked up as a stray as it was fractured and displaced. He is now a tripod but it does not slow him down one bit. He can jump up steps but would prefer to be lifted. He likes to cuddle and play with toys. He will walk on a leash but needs some training. He loves to follow you around and see what you are up to. He is crate trained but also sleeps well in a dog bed during the night. He is food motivated which is always great for training. He does fine with other dogs but is not overly interested in them and would be fine as an only dog. He is working on his house training skills and will need a patient adopter to help him continue with this. He would love a yard where he can run and play (having only 3 legs does not slow this boy down one bit). He enjoys car rides and is a great travel companion. He does struggle with balancing on hardwood floors with only 3 legs and would do best in a house that is carpeted or has area rugs. He can be a little mouthy during his playtime and will resource guard when he is chewing on a toy so we would not advise a home with small children. He will be a great addition to a family where he is the center of attention. Bogie is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Monica from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 6 year old  female Shih Tzu.  I weigh approximately 11 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. Story
Hey there, future best friend! I'm a fluff-tastic Shih Tzu/Pekingese mix puppy with a heart full of wiggles and whisker waggles. They call me Zeus, and I'm on a mission to find a forever home filled with love and laughter. I'm a pint-sized ball of fur, ready to bring joy into your life. I have a bundle of energy and am always up for playtime and puppy shenanigans. But don't let my playful side fool you-I've got a heart as soft as my fluffy coat. Cuteness? Well, it's my superpower! With my soulful puppy eyes and irresistible charm, I'm here to melt your heart. Whether it's cuddles on the couch or zoomies in the backyard, I'm ready for it all. If you're searching for a charming, lovable, and utterly adorable companion to brighten your days, then look no further. I'm here, wagging my tail and waiting for the chance to become your loyal sidekick. Ready to make me a part of your family? Let the adventures begin! * Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Piper is a fun loving and animated girl that loves to run free, exploring her new world outside of a kennel. She loves backrubs and nose kisses and is so appreciative of any attention or affection. Piper has "served her time" as a mother and deserves to spend the rest of her life as a caring companion with someone whose heart is melted by her huge brown eyes and goofy smile. She is great with other dogs and loves to be outdoors, but is also happy curled up in her bed being pampered and cared for. The special person that adopts this loving girl will be richly rewarded with an adoring and appreciative friend for life!
