Story
Anya was adopted from a rescue agency in Southern California nine years ago for my wife, who was battling cancer at the time. My wife has now passed and I have had to relocate to the Seattle area to be near family. The ADU in which I'm now living does not have a fenced yard, and Anya has always been used to going in and out as she pleases. Anya is now a senior dog and has lost her hearing, but is in otherwise good health. If allowed to go outside or if walked regularly she will not pee or poo in the house, but she does have accidents if left alone for too long.

He was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where dogs are treated as commodities instead of companions — but Pickle is finally safe and ready for a new beginning. At six years old, Pickle is in a wonderful, settled stage of life. He enjoys gentle walks, cozy naps, and staying close to his people. He’s calm, affectionate, and content simply being part of a loving home. With patience and consistency, Pickle is ready to build a deep bond with a family who will show him what true comfort and care feel like. &#226&#156&#168 Pickle is looking for a foster or forever home where he can continue to grow in confidence and finally experience what it means to belong. One loving home can truly change the rest of his life. Adoption Information Pickle’s adoption fee is $1,595, a non-refundable donation that helps support ongoing rescue efforts. It includes: • Neuter • Vaccinations • Microchip • Boarding and daily care • Health certificate • Transport from South Korea to Seattle &#226&#156&#136&#239&#184&#143 A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you may bring your own or purchase one from us. Story
Bouffant is a 2 year old Shih Tzu. She’s a bit shy around other animals (cats and dogs) but not aggressive. She is still opening up a bit, but only time will tell. She has experience around other small dogs, but not around big dogs or high energy dogs. She likes to be carried around and snuggle on laps. She is not timid or aggressive. She sleeps in the bed. She has a play pen but she escaped by climbing the side so that does not work. “ So far pretty good with potty time as long as she goes outside a lot. She does not like the rain much. She is nervous around the cats and dogs a bit but may warm up with time. She does not like it when other dogs are barking. She is sweet and gentle and not all that playful yet. She probably just needs some time to come out of her shell as time goes on. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
MattyIce has one love language, and it's you. Specifically you, all the time, preferably within arm's reach. She's a sweet, easygoing girl who gets along with other dogs and cats just fine, but if we’re being honest, she's not really looking for a roommate situation…she’s a people-centered pup. She wants someone who wants a velcro dog. Someone who will be around, pay attention, and occasionally let her burrow her face into their chest and just stay there for a while. (Her foster does this regularly and reports that it is, in fact, as good as it sounds). MattyIce is pretty quiet around the house. She doesn't bark much, except to let you know that breakfast is taking longer than she'd like, which is a completely reasonable complaint and frankly, we support her. She loves playing with toys, rides well in the car, and is food motivated. Stairs aren't really her thing, but she's working around it. Potty training is still a work in progress, but keep in mind, she just started learning! She goes outside often but has had some accidents inside, so she'll need some patience and consistency on that front while she gets settled. She gets a little nervous in new settings, so a calm, predictable environment will do wonders for her. She hasn't been around young kids, so a quieter, adult home is probably her sweet spot. A single person who works from home? That might just be her dream scenario. Her foster would keep her in a heartbeat, but thinks that she just deserves more one-on-one time than foster life allows, and somewhere out there is exactly the right person with exactly that to give. MattyIce just wants to be loved. If that sounds up your alley? She wants to meet you! -----
