Story
Oskar and McCrae are a perfectly complementary duo for adopters looking for a bonded pair. Fluffy, majestic Oskar loves playing with his stuffed mice and bats, is quick to agree to a round of swats with a wand toy, and loves bird watching. Though he loves brushes and head scratches once he gets to know you, Oskar is also a shy fellow, who likes to survey his surroundings from the safety of a sheltered hiding space, like an enclosed cat bed. His brother McCrae, on the other hand, is an extroverted people cat. While he does enjoy bird watching with his sibling, he loves cuddling with his people, and tends to follow them from room to room as they go about their business, and cuddle up with them when they go to bed at night.   Both cats, being 12 years old, are much more excited about sleeping through the day than zooming about the house, though they are both easily roused for playtime.   McCrae, like many cats his age, has hyperthyroidism, which requires a pill, ground up and mixed with his food, twice a day. Hyperthyroidism needs treatment but is very easily manageable and does not affect his quality of life. Oskar, with his majestic fluff, needs to be brushed regularly to avoid frequent hairballs. This is an activity he quite enjoys, making it an easy task.   Despite their seemingly-opposite personalities, Oskar and McCrae get along great. To top it off, they also look great together! They are on a special diet to keep any foreseeable issues at bay.    Oskar & McCrae are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form !   Best Match:   Seeking an adopter some cat experience Could join a calm home with older kids and teens Currently needs special diet and one cat needs medication to stay happy and healthy May 2, 2024, 4:30 pm

Marshall is a love bug; he’s super sweet and always ready to give affection. If there’s a lap open, he is already making his way over to it. Given the opportunity, he’ll make biscuits all day long! Heeven drools out of joy if you pet him while he’s at work. Marshall is also a purr machine, so get ready for home to be filled with happy and soothing sounds all the time. His foster family says it best: “Marshall has truly nothing but love to give, and he will be the most rewarding sweetheart in anyone's home.” He will follow you around room to room, so you’ll always have company. When he’s not soaking up attention, he’s soaking up sunshine in his window seat. Marshall loves a good nap, and he’d love it if you either join him or make sure he has a soft spot to relax near you. Marshall also enjoys playing with his toys by himself, but we think he’d also have a lot of fun with another cat friend.  Marshall has some medical needs that are easliy managed with a special diet, which he loves! Marshall is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FELV/FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, fill out our Adoption Inquiry form ! REMUS & ALBUS, 10 YEARS, MALES Best Match: ·         Seeking an adopter with some cat experience Bonded pair Best in an adult-only home Needs to be indoor only   Remus is a big, fluffy, easygoing boy looking for a window sill or high shelf to perch on. He’s friendly as can be, and more than happy to spend hours warming in the sunlight. He loves cheek, chin, and head scratches and will chirp in appreciation for the attention and love you give him. He also loves food and snacks! Mellow Albus starts slow, and he takes some time to warm up in new environments. He appreciates patient adults who are willing to give him the space he needs to learn to trust. “The key has seemed to truly let him lead, in every way — with petting, with approaching, and with the speed at which he chooses to acclimate” to the house and the residents. Once he gets to know you, expect him to join you on the couch or on your bed, either stretching out along your legs or perched on a pillow. The boys are mostly independent from each other. They get along quite well, but while Remus is always looking for that best sunny perch, Albus spends his day chasing bugs, dust, and invisible objects that only he sees. Expect a few midnight zoomies from the boys before they settle in, but their play is all in fun — neither has ever hissed or been aggressive toward each other or any people. Albus is diagnosed with a heart murmur, but it is nothing concerning at this time. Remus has flea allergy dermatitis and needs flea meds consistently every month, which he takes in edible form. Remus and Albus are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Story
Poke and Pina were feral kittens who were found in a warehouse in Richmond by my adult daughter. They are sweet sister kittens who are playful, snuggly and somewhat shy, but get along fine with her cattle dog, They like to play and are cuddlers, with each other, with her cattle dog and with people too. My daughter rescued them but has found that she cannot care for them in her small house with a second child coming and a dog too. She needs to rehome them asap. She would love to keep these girls together. They are about 7 months old and not yet big enough to spay.

MODESTO, CA:  Polo was just skin and bones when he was found in a cat colony in April 2023.  He was taken to the vet where they found all of his blood work to be healthy -- he just needed dental work. Polo had a few teeth pulled and has since cruised through his recovery like a pro. He gets along well with other cats but would also do just fine as an only pet. He loves to snuggle and play whenever he gets the opportunity. Polo was born in approximately July 2018.  He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on his shots.  He would do well in a home with other cats and children; no dogs please. This is a Courtesy Post, and Polo is with the Cat Network of Stanislaus in Modesto, California. For more information, please contact Monica at info@catnetworkofstanislaus.org or 209-735-0604. Story
STOCKTON, CA:  We have been asked by Save Our Kitties Stockton (SOS) to crosspost Jessie, a female senior kitty in need of a new home.  Jessie was born in approximately January 2007.  The following information was taken from Jessie’s listing on the SOS AdoptaPet page: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/40521666-stockton-california-cat ~~~~~~~~ Jessie's momma passed away about 5 years ago and her poppa just passed away on New Years Day. She is 17 years young and would love to help you keep your couch warm on these cold winter days and nights. Jessie (poppa called her Baby Kitty) lives for her wet food and kitty treats but also thoroughly enjoys furminator brushing of her long silky fur. She is a little feisty like all of us older kids. Spayed in 2007, she spent much of her time in the company of small dogs, but she lost them to old age over the years. Growing up in Lodi's wine country Jessie had a kitty door and liked to prowl outside in the warm weather in her safe backyard. Jessie Baby Kitty would do best in a calm, loving, kitty-friendly home with folks who respect feline uniqueness.  Watch her video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cui9O8Ei4-M Jessie has an appointment on 1/20/24 for her health check and vaccinations. ~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Jessie is with Save Our Kitties Stockton (SOS) in Stockton, California.  For more information, please contact SOS directly at soks.adopt@gmail.com or (209) 323-8811.  Visit their website at https://www.sokstockton.org/ Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cats’ status with the rescue group and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.  May 9, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Rhiannon (aka Rhi-Rhi aka Little Lion) is a special cat looking for a calm home to spend the rest of her days. She loves to give gentle face sniffs, get a good brushing, and of course receive some good chin and ear scratches. Her two absolute favorite things in the world are lounging in afternoon sunny spots and her crinkled paper ball. Rhiannon spends most of the day dozing, but as soon as she hears the rustle of her paper ball she is at the ready to play a very slow game of fetch. She truly carries one of her many crinkled balls with her everywhere she goes and back to her bed before snuggling up to nap again. She also loves to stand on her hind-legs at the window and chirp at the birds! While Rhiannon still has a playful side, she is arthritic and a bit wobbly when she moves around. She takes 3 medications daily mixed into wet food (no fuss). She would do best in a home without other pets or very young children. (She has lived with another cat successfully while in the shelter, but she has not befriended her foster’s cats.) She’s made great progress in her foster home, opening up to receiving pets and being brushed, but she can still startle easily. She would benefit from living with someone who can read cat body language well and provide her space when requested. She will do best in a calm home with children.over 10 years old. Yourtube video playing fetch: https://youtu.be/-paUD1sGXn8 Rhiannon is vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and is microchipped.

Story
Nina is a 9 year old cat originally from Florida, she belonged to my 96 year old Uncle, who passed away in January. I believe she was born in a shelter in Port St Lucie, FL in October 2014. She is a sweet, loving and affectionate kitty who craves lots of pets and attention. She is treat and food driven and enjoys playing with the puzzle box as well as finding treats hidden in her cat carrier or warming hut. She will follow you around the house and chat with you in order to gain more treats or food. She has a funny meow that sounds like a baby Pterodactyl. She has had a history of vomiting and diarrhea which has been resolved recently with the use of Prednisolone. I'm hoping to find her a good caring home with someone who ideally is home most days and does not have another pet in the home. She is originally an indoor cat, however she seems to enjoy exploring the garden area. She stays close to home and doesn't wander off.

Story
Pepper and Gina are beautiful two-and-a-half-year-old sisters. We have fostered them since they were 6 months old after being rescued from the street. Feral at first, we socialized them as indoor cats. They are incredibly close and cannot be separated. They often sleep in each other’s arms. Other times, you will see them walk or sit in the exact same pose like synchronized swimmers. Pepper—long, sleek, and sensitive—is the scientist. She also loves online yoga. Gina is the bigger, rounder, goofy one who makes us laugh, especially when opening doors. They are also trained to stand on their back legs like penguins for treats. They’re not lap cats, but you can pet them when they're sleepy. Otherwise, they love to be near you and hop up on the bed in the morning to hang out. We have loved them so much. We want to make sure they go to a good home and to people who care for them and enjoy them as much as we have.

Story
Oreo is a gentle and sweet kitty who will win you over again and again with his little 'innocent' gaze! He is brave and curious and loves to play, especially with his brother Roscoe. Pouncing WWE wrestling style on Roscoe is one of his favorite pastimes. He discovered early on that he can do back flips into his cat bed and he finds this very entertaining (scroll down to his videos below). He has adapted this skill into his play tactics. Oreo has mild Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), and will lose his balance from time to time, but this doesn’t slow him down one bit nor does it affect his health or ability to eat and use his litter box. When he runs, his back legs will hop like a bunny rabbit rather than a kitten which is quite cute. Oreo is incredibly affectionate and interactive with people. He would love to be adopted with his brother and nap partner, Roscoe, as they have become quite bonded over the months although this is not a deal breaker as he will also do well with another young playful cat. We estimate that Oreo was born in late May 2023. Kitty Bio #1506KL-Or. If you're interested in adopting this or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at http://icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to/.May 10, 2024, 10:16 am
