Story
Kazhem is a very handsome, somewhat shy Akita mix who warms up slowly to new people. But once he is comfortable he will share his goofy personality with you, running zoomies in the grass and showing off his great smile and happy tail wag.He gets along great with other dogs on the beach, the trails and probably in the dog park, but would prefer to be the only doggo in his forever home. Once Kazhem bonds with you he`s very devoted and wants to be with you all the time. Retirees, professionals who work at home, and anyone else who could make him a part of their daily life would be his dream family!

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more here Angelica is a charming puppy with an adorable blend of breeds, possibly including Corgi, Shepherd, Cattle Dog, and maybe even a touch of Akita (foster family’s best guesses!). She has the cutest lopsided ears—one up and one down—that add to her unique personality. This playful girl thrives on praise, making training sessions both fun and rewarding. She already knows “sit” and is working on other commands! Angelica is great with kids and loves other dogs, making her an ideal addition to a family with pets. She adores water and will happily jump in the shower with you—baths are definitely her favorite! Plus, she has a sweet habit of following you around like a shadow, always wanting to be by your side. When you talk to her, she’ll cock her head, soaking in every word.  Working on crate training and is still in the stage of putting everything in her mouth, so she will need positive reinforcement/rewards based training to guide her. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, active puppy, Angelica is the perfect match. Come meet her today and see if she’s the right fit for your family! October 8, 2024, 12:33 am

They started learning to use the potty outside and are fast learners!” If you are looking for an XL breed puppy to provide XL love – come meet Jack Black today. From 10/5 through 10/31, we are having a “Spooky Low Adoption Fees” promotion. Story
Star is fostered in CA. Star is great with dogs, but having energy can play excitedly and may not be a fit for puppies or elderly dogs. Star is a gorgeous girl with brains and energy to match! She might be blind, but that doesn’t slow her down at all. She navigates just fine and all the important things (food, sniffy walks, petting) don’t require sight. Star also had a couple of seizures, which the vet is calling idiopathic epilepsy since no other cause was found in testing, so she takes Keppra and that has prevented any more episodes. She has already learned a lot of words, including: focus, sit, step, and walking. Given her puppy energy level, she would love to be in a home with another dog her size or bigger and no small children or cats. Star *loves* meeting new people and dogs, exploring her environment, eating, walking, and snoozing in her crate or in the car. She is still learning to be the best dog, but she is a quick study. She needs a family experienced with Huskies or similar breeds who are willing to continue her education. If you are active and ready for an energetic beauty, contact us to learn more about Star! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
