Story
Helllo everyone, This is Ares. I got him as a puppy when I lived in Japan. He’s now 9 years old. He is absolutely very caring and loving, but also very protective of his people. He loves cuddling, walks, and light hikes. He’s very smart and knows a decent amount of tricks. Due to a combination of reasons, I can no longer care for Ares. As you can see, he has a chronic skin condition that developed when he was staying with a family member of mines while I was away. Prior to, he was always an indoor dog, and unknown to me, they kept him outside without shelter and that’s when he started having issues with his skin. For a new home, I just want him to be properly loved like he deserves to be. He’s so caring and affectionate, he absolutely deserves the world. I want his new home to have ample time and space within their home for him. Thank you.

Story
We have had our sweet Oso for 5 years. We love his kind sweet loving nature and are extremely sad to be looking for a new home. We took Oso in from my brother who has the parents. The dad is a husky/wolf and the mom is a purebred Akita. We recently moved and unfortunately he has not acclimated well to our new lives and schedules. He definitely needs somewhere he can go out in a backyard and play vs being in an apartment throughout the day. He’s an anxious dog so taking him out for walks and potty breaks is a bit challenging. Would highly recommend having a backyard

Story
Meet Ombre, an 11-month-old Akita who radiates an easygoing and sweet demeanor that captivates everyone she meets! Despite her young age, Ombre displays a maturity beyond her years, approaching life with a calm and gentle disposition. Ombre came to our shelter as a stray about 6 weeks ago. She was found with her sidekick companion, Margarita, a sweet, timid, 11-pound, 3-year old Chihuahua.  Ombre is an exuberant, playful and very loving dog. She is very gentle with Margarita, so they are housed together and often hang out in the yards together. While Ombre thoroughly enjoys playing and interacting with others; she would thrive equally well in a home with or without another dog, thanks to her independent nature and friendly demeanor. Ombre's love for playtime is infectious, and her charming personality makes her a wonderful addition to any loving household ready to provide her with the care and companionship she deserves. Ombre has a beautiful coat, weighs about 40 pounds, seems quite potty trained and also very quiet in her kennel that she shares with little Margarita. Ombre is good with every dog and every person she has ever met; loves to play with soft toys and most of all, has discovered the joy of a kiddie pool in the heat! At the shelter, we often let them play together, but also separate them out. I have been taking Margarita home to play with my littles so she can build her confidence and come into her own. She is a delightful little girl (whose cherry eye will be fixed when she is spayed soon). Both Ombre and Margarita are vaccinated and will be chipped and spayed  We would love to get sweet Ombre and Margarita out of the shelter so they can continue to grow and thrive in a home. Ombre and Margarita are being cared for at Yolo County Animal Services in Woodland, CA (near Davis and Sacramento Airport). Story
Aloha! I'm Butter and I'm a 11-week old, pure-bred Akita puppy. I'm a love bug that loves to be held and cuddled. Unfortunately, I won't be able to be held for long, as I'm already 20 pounds! I'm going to be a big girl that will need lots of training while I'm still a small pup. The Vet said that I might have hip and joint issues that will effect me as I grow, so adopters should be prepared to take me in for an orthopedic consult. If you're interested in giving me a good home and can afford appropriate medical care, apply to adopt me! Apply to adopt me through the Oahu SPCA! Story
Hi, my name is Rumble! I'm a sweet and playful 1 year and 9-month-old  husky mix who weighs about 60lbs. I am as silly as a husky and as cuddly as a pitbull, best of both worlds! Being a young husky, I have lots of energy, but I walk well on a leash, and I love playing with my foster brother (wrestling, chase, and tug-of-war are my favorites!). I'm super affectionate and cuddly—my foster says I'm a big teddy bear who constantly wags his tail. I've been practicing crate training, and I'm able to sleep there overnight as well as settle in my crate for short periods of time. I'm also getting the hang of potty training! I'll need an adopter committed to continuing my training, helping me practice my manners, and giving me lots of exercise. If you're interested in a happy, loving husky, ask Customer Service about Rumble ID# A956427 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.  Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads.
