But don’t worry — it’s super manageable! My foster family and veterinarian have created an easy routine that keeps me happy and healthy. I even have a fancy custom feeding station (built just for me!) where I eat and drink comfortably.    🐾 Why You’ll Love Me From my captivating smile to my playful spirit, I’m the kind of dog who lights up a room. I’m: - Affectionate: I’ll happily cuddle up with you after a fun day. - Energetic and playful: I love tossing my toys around and trying my best at fetch! - Learning to have good canine manner - I’m crate trained, know how to use a doggy door and can be left home alone without any issues.    🌟 A Star Companion I’m great with adults, strangers and kids and I even love car rides! Meet Ombre, an 11-month-old Akita who radiates an easygoing and sweet demeanor that captivates everyone she meets! Despite her young age, Ombre displays a maturity beyond her years, approaching life with a calm and gentle disposition. Ombre came to our shelter as a stray about 6 weeks ago. She was found with her sidekick companion, Margarita, a sweet, timid, 11-pound, 3-year old Chihuahua. Ombre is an exuberant, playful and very loving dog. She is very gentle with Margarita, so they are housed together and often hang out in the yards together. While Ombre thoroughly enjoys playing and interacting with others; she would thrive equally well in a home with or without another dog, thanks to her independent nature and friendly demeanor. Ombre's love for playtime is infectious, and her charming personality makes her a wonderful addition to any loving household ready to provide her with the care and companionship she deserves. Ombre has a beautiful coat, weighs about 40 pounds, seems quite potty trained and also very quiet in her kennel that she shares with little Margarita. Ombre is good with every dog and every person she has ever met; loves to play with soft toys and most of all, has discovered the joy of a kiddie pool in the heat! At the shelter, we often let them play together, but also separate them out. I have been taking Margarita home to play with my littles so she can build her confidence and come into her own. She is a delightful little girl (whose cherry eye will be fixed when she is spayed soon). Both Ombre and Margarita are vaccinated and will be chipped and spayed We would love to get sweet Ombre and Margarita out of the shelter so they can continue to grow and thrive in a home. Jabulani, lovingly nicknamed Jabu for short, is a sweet girl looking to affectionately nuzzle her way into your heart! This precious girl absolutely adores being in the company of her human companions. She greets everyone she meets with a curly tailed tail wag and lots of slobbery kisses. She also makes sure to show off her agile spins and funny vocalizations to wow her new friends. She is an energetic and active pup that would love to go for long walks, spend some time playing fetch in the yard, training using positive reinforcement methods, and enjoying a nice food puzzle. Jabu is also a gold medalist at tug-of-war and an expert in squeeky toys. This elegant and refined young lady would prefer a home without tiny little hands as she enjoys her space after meals and that can be hard for kiddos to understand. Jabu really loves her people and can be heard whining and complaining when left at home alone. With some support from our behavior team you should be able to work through her very mild separation anxiety.Overall, Jabu is a smart and bouncy girl, spinning around when she gets excited and even loves exploring the beach and dipping her paws in the ocean with her humans. Max is a 5 year old shephard/husky mix looking for his forever home. We've had Max as a foster. We took him in as his prior owner passed unexpectedly & the family couldn't keep him. He's 60-65 pounds, neutered, current on vaccines, housebroken & enjoys hanging with the family & playing tug of war with his toys. No health issues. He hasn't had a lot of exposure to young children but no issue with visiting nieces/nephews. He gets along fine with our chihuahua but is quite reactive dogs outside the home. Initially he had a lot of separation anxiety but is much, much better now. He is quiet & happy to relax at your feet/nearby. He is a big fluffy teddy bear who just wants someone to love on him. We'd love to keep him but it's no longer permitted where we currently live. We are desperately trying to keep him out of the shelters or being euthanized. We are hoping to find Max a forever home with a person/family that is looking for a furry friend. He will repay love given to him ten fold.
