Story
This is Scout, she is the love of my life and I have the pleasure of having her for the past 9 years. She is a 12 yr old female, calm demeanor, mostly relaxed in her golden yrs. She doesn’t bark much, gets excited when I come home from work, loves the dog park and going for walks. She does get anxiety with storms but I give her Trazadone before hand and she is fine. She is getting older and deserves to be in a more stable home because I have moved a lot in the last 3 years, mostly renting out of rooms, and I am also in the process of enlisting into the military. I am looking to place her in a home with a loving family/ person who doesn’t mind having her as a best friend/ companion.

Story
Meet a sweet, affectionate 2 year old Husky who loves to be by your side—he’s gentle, patient, and enjoys relaxing at home just as much as a little playful fun outside walking or playing fetch. He’s the perfect mix of loving companion and easygoing personality, ready to fit right into your family.

Story
Sunny is a rescue from San Diego and has been with our family for 6 years. He has always been a peculiar dog, but fun and loving when he’s not being a rebel teenager. He has two main quirks about him. He cannot be locked in a room or standard cage, he is an escape artist and I think his previous owners must’ve done something to him that makes him hate being in closed spaces. He also does not like the rain, he will shiver, shake and hide in a bathtub until it’s over and he can sense it hours in advance. Overall a great house dog, when he is outside his natural instinct to hunt small animals kicks in rapidly, so hold the leash for dear life. He’s a great dog, but there is no time in our schedules for him anymore and we hate to have him caged up for more than 8 hours a day, it’s selfish on our part, but with this economy we haven’t had much of a choice. We hope someone can find it in their hearts to give Sunny the home he deserves. Big plus is if he can have another big dog as a playmate.

Story
To say that Hanna adores human attention would be an understatement. This fluffy pup immediately mellows out whenever she receives affection from anyone – be it strangers, children, or the elderly. But don't be fooled by her antics. The moment it's time to return to her kennel, she unleashes the husky's trademark howl, serenading the shelter with her rendition of the "shelter dog blues." Her vocal prowess echoes throughout the center, leaving no doubt about her desire for companionship. In 2020, Hanna found her home through OHAR, where she lived alongside another dog and children. However, due to unforeseen hardships, her family faced tough decisions and returned her to OHAR. This turn of events has left Hanna heartbroken, yet she remains resilient, determined to find her fairy tale ending once again. Could you be the one to offer Hanna the love and stability she so deserves?Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess
