However, due to unforeseen hardships, her family faced tough decisions and returned her to OHAR. This turn of events has left Hanna heartbroken, yet she remains resilient, determined to find her fairy tale ending once again. Jexi is a 4 yr-old 50 pound Alaskan Husky that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/28. She was very vocal about wanting out of her kennel as it appears she maybe housetrained. She stayed close looking up at me with those alluring eyes of hers. She was very patient when I brushed her. Actually, she seemed to really enjoy it. She will need a tall secure fence. She will also need frequent brushings. She would need to be in a home, not an apartment. She would enjoy a yard to stretch her legs in but can’t tolerate the Texas heat. She needs to be an inside dog mostly. She’s happy, sociable, calm, gentle, and very well behaved. At one point, she put her paw on my lap. That was very endearing. She has a semi-strong pull on the leash. She was not interested in meeting other dogs. And she wants to go home with you to be your loyal, devoted companion.

Teddy was one of three strays moving about in our neighborhood for a prolonged amount of time. A neighbor of my wife and I decided to help us capture them so they wouldn't be hit on the busy highway road running through town. The other two dogs were homed but we kept Teddy. We are a multi-dog household. For years this has not been an issue but recently Teddy and one of other dogs, Wesker, have been challenging and fixating on one another. They must now be kept separate at all times. Teddy and our others never have any issues and they regularly play and cohabitate with no issues. Teddy likes to be rather independent but still enjoys social time with his human and running with our other dogs. He definitely likes to relax but is always happy to accept attention from his owner! I think Teddy would benefit from having an owner that likes an independent dog that is content to take it easy most of the time but also occasionally wants to run, jump, and play :)
