Although I didn’t initiate play, I liked to run around a bit with and nap next to the 25-lb. puppy and 45-lb. 3-year-old dog I met in a temp. foster home, as well as the 8-10 year old female dogs I snuggled with in another foster home, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I snuggled with and enjoyed my time with a 15-year-old girl I met in foster, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a sweet, handsome boy with a gentle personality and a loving heart. I can be a little shy and timid when I first meet new people, especially men, or experience new things, but my friendly nature quickly shines through. I was just a little nervous for my bath, but I stayed calm and sweet, even politely lifting each paw for rinsing like a good boy. My foster says “Everyone who has met him, myself included, thinks he's perfect. He is such a good boy.” My foster thinks I would do really well with someone who is home quite a bit. I really love being her little shadow. Do you need one? Can’t you just picture it? I also had a nice day trip with a volunteer and her dog, and we enjoyed each other's company. / Cats unknown. / I met a sweet girl on one of my outings with a volunteer, that was around 10 years old and I liked her. I laid down next to her on a bench and put my head in her lap, so if you have kids around this age, let's meet and best no toddlers that I may accidentally bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m an exceptionally sweet, gentle, and loving boy with the manners of a true gentleman—and I’m pretty amazing, too! I'm the sweetest gentleman during my baths, politely lifting each paw for rinsing and rewarding everyone afterward with lots of happy tail wags. I’m also wonderful in the car during my day-trip adventures with the nice volunteers, and I usually drift off to sleep soon after we get going. And get this—I recently shared the trail at Kennesaw Mountain with four horses and wasn’t even reactive to them! I also enjoyed meeting lots of new friends at a volunteer’s office. What fun! I’m truly a special boy and an absolute joy to be around. Thankfully, I've been treated for it, so all is good now. I will have my heartworm re-check in mid-December, so local adoption is best. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my new family should consult their vet about a dental cleaning in the future. I would not want to spend a lot of time in a crate in my new home as I’m too active for that. / My potty habits have been good at Mostly Mutts and were good on the off-site training program schedule, too, and being crated in the evenings helps set me up for success so there are not overnight accidents. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love going for walks, exploring on nature adventures with my people, splashing in streams, and running joyful zoomies in the play yard! I also enjoy car rides, playing with toys, getting ear scratches, and spending time with the nice volunteers. I can be barky/reactive when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you exactly how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / No cats! / I get a little excited to see children, so kids age 15+ would be the best fit for me, as I wouldn’t want to bump over younger children & toddlers make me uncomfortable. I can entertain myself while you’re busy, or we can play fetch together - just throw the ball! A nice, fenced yard would be great for our play sessions. When it’s time to relax, I enjoy lots of petting & cuddles, & I secretly believe I’m a lap dog, so don’t be surprised if I climb up & give you a big hug with my paws on your shoulders. I also like walks, though I’ll need a strong walker since I’m a strong boy & can sometimes be reactive to people & other animals, so let’s go find some quieter places to explore together. I rescued this dog over 2 years ago from a friend that had puppy’s. For the first year she was perfect with the other dogs in my house. She got bit by one of the small dogs in my home and it turned her. She attacked him. She gets along w a large calm dog in my home. She is 2.5 years old. Vet gave her anxiety meds to see if that helps but since the small dogs are traumatized from the attacks I can’t keep her around them. They are older. She is a lover. She takes care of my autistic 5 year old nephew and loves cuddling in my bed with me. Loves all people. She loves chasing squirrels and birds in the back yard. She loves treats. It has gotten difficult on my older parents to keep all dogs separate and while I work. I work a lot. This is very hard for me. But my living situation just can’t handle this right now. When we go on walks she doesn’t even react. Maybe it’s the dogs in my house? I just want to find her a home to be spoiled in. It’s what she deserves.

I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and in my foster home and I like them a lot – so much so that my trainer uses me to help other pups learn how to play! I’m an excitedly vocal player, so if you have dogs at home already that wouldn’t mind this, let’s meet! / We all agree that I should not live with cats. I have shown a prey drive on my walks towards squirrels and other small animals; however, I was friendly with the >10 lb. chihuahua neighbor dog in my foster home. / I have met several children of various ages with my foster and have done well with them, accepting pets while displaying my calm and affectionate nature. If you have kids at home, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, fun, and happy guy with a playful, goofy, and sweet personality who is full of love. If she doesn’t come quick enough, I’ll go running around the house looking for her! • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love playing with toys, especially tennis balls, and I never say no to a peanut butter treat, pup cup, or bully stick. I’ve destuffed a few toys and shredded a blanket, so please just watch me with these items. Chin scratches are the best, and they always make my tail wag! I enjoy hikes and visiting craft festivals / farmers markets with my foster where I have not minded the crowds. I look to my foster for permission to hop onto the couch. Once she gives it, I love to cuddle and snuggle with her.
