A SUPER FRIENDLY GIRL:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi, my name is Nora!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control. Also, I also came in heartworm positive. The good news is my tail amputation is behind me, and I have been treated for heartworms and have completed my rest period. I am excited for the life that awaits me in a happy, loving home! I can be a little vocal in the shelter environment when I'm in my little room, but once I settled into the prison/foster training program, I relaxed and became much quieter. With a consistent routine and a comfortable environment, I show off my calm and easygoing personality! I am ready to be a great companion to a wonderful family. I have a little bit of ‘stranger danger’ when I see people wearing dark clothing, though I never show any aggression. / Energy level:  3-5. ·   SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are good in the off-site training program. The trainers have found that I don’t really need one and enjoy sleeping outside of it overnight. / My potty habits were good in the off-site training program, but I am having a few accidents at the shelter. Hopefully this will improve now that I have completed my HW rest period. ·   LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to give and receive affection—collecting snuggles and leaning in for a nice hug. It’s just the best!  I always enjoy it when the volunteers break out the toys at the shelter. Play time is always fun! Stretching my legs in the play yard in the off-site training program is one of my favorite parts of the day! I love having room to run and explore, and don’t worry, I'll happily come right back when called. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. ·   MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. My tail has been amputated, so it is no longer painful. Since my previous owner did not keep me on heartworm prevention, I came to MM heartworm positive.  Thankfully, I’ve been treated for it and am currently getting back to my regular exercise routine. I will have my heartworm re-check in mid-December, so local adoption is best. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my new family should consult their vet about a dental cleaning in the future. A FRIENDLY & ACTIVE PAL:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 36 lbs. Hello, I’m Rockette! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’m so happy to be part of the family! I’ve had lots of fun with the wonderful volunteers, and I was even selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training program, where I learned so much. I was adopted for a short time, but my young dog mouthiness was a bit much for them, so I’m looking for a dog-savvy home that enjoys training and helping young dogs grow into their best selves. I can’t wait to find my perfect family and start my happily-ever-after!      • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked playing with them!  So, if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / Kids 15+ would be the best fit for me since I am mouthy, so if you have kids that age or older – perhaps dog experienced, let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly, playful, and very active girl with a sweet personality, and a great smile to match! I’m a lot of dog with plenty of energy, lots of love to give, and I’m always ready to be part of the fun. I’m a kiss-giver who looks to my people for direction and reassurance, making me a loving and attentive companion. I would do best with a dog-savvy family who can help me continue learning appropriate ways to channel my enthusiasm. Sometimes I see side-to-side movements, like mopping or leaf blowing, as an invitation to play and may get a bit mouthy—even if your back is turned—so I’ll need guidance and redirection to help me make good choices. I also appreciate it when new friends let me approach as I just need a moment to warm up, and then my sweet, affectionate personality shines through. I’m ready for a family who enjoys an active, fun-loving companion and will help me continue to grow into the wonderful dog I’m meant to be! / Energy level: 6-8, so let’s be active together.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training together, as there are more classes we can take with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts, and I come out ready to go and have some fun – and a little excitedly mouthy!  I would not want to spend a lot of time in a crate in my new home as I’m too active for that. / My potty habits have been good at Mostly Mutts and were good on the off-site training program schedule, too, and being crated in the evenings helps set me up for success so there are not overnight accidents.  • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love going for walks, exploring on nature adventures with my people, splashing in streams, and running joyful zoomies in the play yard! I also enjoy car rides, playing with toys, getting ear scratches, and spending time with the nice volunteers. An active family that loves the outdoors and spending engaging time with me would be a good match! / I wouldn’t be happy in a home that I didn’t get enough active exercise and good leadership and like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Story
A FUN, PLAYFUL & ACTIVE GUY:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 40 lbs.  Hi, my name is Asher!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, & I’m very grateful.  The volunteers are taken with my unusual breed mix, my handsome ginger brindle coat, & compact body.  I bet you will be, too!  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot!  I am currently in a wonderful foster home, waiting for my match! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I enjoy playing with & going for walks with other dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts, but I should not live with another dog as I have guarded toys & dog beds from them.  I can be barky/reactive when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you exactly how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / No cats! / I get a little excited to see children, so kids age 15+ would be the best fit for me, as I wouldn’t want to bump over younger children & toddlers make me uncomfortable. So, if you have kids 15+ let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet, happy & fun-natured guy who has earned the reputation of being ‘goofy & funny’ around the shelter. I am full of playful energy & am not shy about speaking my mind, so I don’t think an apartment/condo-type home would be a good fit for me.  I would love a backyard with a fence, as one of my favorite activities is chasing a ball.  I will even bring it back to you as long as you will throw it.  My foster parents have realized that I am also very good at entertaining myself inside, so I’d make a good office dog.  I really enjoy going on walks & I do enjoy several of them during the day in my foster home.  I’m a lot of dog in a medium sized package.  I’m also very sweet, protective & fun!  I am great in the shower or bath, when my foster parents give me my weekly bath.  Affectionate & social with the people I’ve been properly introduced to, I have all the traits of a great companion. I, however, am not the kind of dog you would take to the kids’ sporting events, or a busy park, etc. since I can be reactive.  I look forward to meeting all the members of my new home at my adoption! / My energy level is 6–8, so I am looking for a family member who will be active with me.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ & ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette & have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping when properly introduced.  I get distracted by sounds I hear on my walk that I don’t recognize, so my trainer used the ‘leave it’ command to keep me on track on our walks.  I’m very food motivated, so that makes my training fun & yummy! Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / I did well in my little room at Mostly Mutts.  In my foster home, I have perfect crate manners, & easily go into my crate when my foster parents have to leave the house.  I even put myself to bed at night, by going into my crate without being asked. / In my foster home, I have had wonderful potty manners with no accidents.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I LOVE toys - especially rubber ones with deep squeakers, Nylabones, & large squeaky tennis balls.  I can entertain myself while you’re busy, or we can play fetch together - just throw the ball!  A nice, fenced yard would be great for our play sessions. When it’s time to relax, I enjoy lots of petting & cuddles, & I secretly believe I’m a lap dog, so don’t be surprised if I climb up & give you a big hug with my paws on your shoulders. I also like walks, though I’ll need a strong walker since I’m a strong boy & can sometimes be reactive to people & other animals, so let’s go find some quieter places to explore together. I absolutely love car rides, too! / I have been frightened by certain loud motors, the vacuum, doorbells ,etc., but I can be trained not to react to those as I’m smart. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, & training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped & neutered. I may need to wear a muzzle when vetted & for nail trims as this can be frightening to me. I am looking for a dog savvy family where I will be cherished!  My adoption fee is $299.00, & I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 21, 2026, 8:54 am

A FRIENDLY & FUN GIRL:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 34 lbs. Hi, I’m Taryn!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the nice volunteers, who spend time with and take great care of me. Though I’m a graduate, I've been selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience off-site to have some more fun! Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. Now I hear that I’m ready to find a wonderful family of my very own – where I can love and be loved furever! I hope to meet them very soon!     • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and I needed some time to warm up to them, but once I did, I liked them.  I can be vocal when playing and meeting other dogs.  It helped when I had a few visits with the same dog, so if you have a nice, patient doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals.  / Cats unknown. / I met two nice boys around 6 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so a home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me - and kids should not hug me (as I don’t like to feel restrained).  Let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a friendly, active, happy, and fun dog.  I love nothing more than I love people!  I was very sweet and handled my bath, and nail trim well.  I am a bit vocal when I see other dogs or people and fast movements or loud noises may startle me, but I recover quickly.  / Energy level: 4-6.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners have been good.  In the prison/foster training program, I didn’t need a crate and enjoyed sleeping outside of it.  / My potty habits are good on the prison/foster training program schedule, so hopefully that’ll be the case in my new home, too! • LIKES/DISLIKES: Spending time with the volunteers is my favorite thing, and I’ll gladly soak up all the attention, pets, kisses, and affection you have to give. I also like playing with toys and going for lots of car rides, where I love to stick my nose out the window and feel the breeze. I love going on hikes with the wonderful volunteers—they become my own little "sniffari," where I can explore all the exciting sights and smells along the way! / Other than other dogs and restraint for my vetting, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I wasn’t a fan of being restrained during vetting, so a muzzle may be helpful during my vetting.  I’m a fun-loving gal looking for a wonderful family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 21, 2026, 8:54 am

AN ACTIVE & WONDERFUL FRIEND: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi, my name is Wilson!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the volunteers, who take great care of me, but nothing will beat a home and family of my own.  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and in my foster home and I like them a lot – so much so that my trainer uses me to help other pups learn how to play! I’m an excitedly vocal player, so if you have dogs at home already that wouldn’t mind this, let’s meet! / We all agree that I should not live with cats.  I have shown a prey drive on my walks towards squirrels and other small animals; however, I was friendly with the >10 lb. chihuahua neighbor dog in my foster home.  / I have met several children of various ages with my foster and have done well with them, accepting pets while displaying my calm and affectionate nature.  If you have kids at home, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly, fun, and happy guy with a playful, goofy, and sweet personality who is full of love.  I have so much happy enthusiasm to share, and I did great during my bath, too - I even drank from the sprayer and handed out kisses.  I’m a chatty, vocal player who loves to “talk” while I play with both people and other dogs. It’s just my sweet way of letting you know I’m having fun!  I’m a loving, affectionate boy who can’t wait to brighten your days.  I’ll need some time to adjust to my new home and will likely make a little noise until I know that I’m home and have settled in, so best no apartment. / Energy Level: 7-9. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / The crate is not my favorite place, so I do some whining in there.  In my foster home, I’m crated when my foster leaves the house and I sleep in a doggie bed in my foster’s bedroom overnight./ My potty habits are good in my foster home, where I’ve learned to ring a bell on the door to let my foster know when I need to go. If she doesn’t come quick enough, I’ll go running around the house looking for her! • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing with toys, especially tennis balls, and I never say no to a peanut butter treat, pup cup, or bully stick.  I’ve destuffed a few toys and shredded a blanket, so please just watch me with these items.  Chin scratches are the best, and they always make my tail wag!  I enjoy hikes and visiting craft festivals / farmers markets with my foster where I have not minded the crowds.  I look to my foster for permission to hop onto the couch.  Once she gives it, I love to cuddle and snuggle with her.  At the end of the day, being with my people is really what I’m after.  / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I recently started 2 inexpensive stress/anxiety medications to help with some mild separation anxiety that I’m experiencing.  Hopefully I will no longer need it once I’ve settled into my new home. I’m a wonderful pup looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 21, 2026, 8:54 am

I’m a fun and active girl looking for a wonderful family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 21, 2026, 8:54 am

Story
Punky is a true Boxer, energetic, curious, smart and loveable. We bought her from a breeder in Florida and she is 1 year 4 months old. Putty trained as well as cage trained but she loves to be outside. She needs lots of exercise and loves to play fetch. Due to being a puppy still, she gets into trouble chewing things. We have been boxer owners for years while our kids were home, we thought that we could mange another, but being older and not being home due to work, we find we cannot give her the time she needs. She is trained in many commands and pays attention when needed. Overall, she is a great dog with a strong mind and mischevious at times. She needs a home where she can get enough exercise and play time, patience and willing to finish her training. A home with older children will be perfect since she is very strong and thinks she is a lap dog. The new owner needs to understand that even though she is big, she is still a puppy. Reading about the breed is helpful.

These pups are in Kennesaw, Georgia too!

Story

Story
A SWEET, PLAYFUL SENIOR FELLOW:  Approx. 9 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi there, I’m Roy! I came to Mostly Mutts after finding myself at animal control - I don’t remember how I ended up there, but I’m so grateful to be safe and well cared for now. When I arrived, it was clear that I had been neglected for years as I had thin fur and some skin issues, I needed a dental cleaning and had infected ears and sore eyes. I needed bloodwork, which I received thanks to a generous grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization. I’m feeling and looking much better and ready for my next chapter! I even got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program and had a good time! I’m a sweet, hopeful guy who’s excited about the future and dreaming of a loving home and family that will take wonderful care of me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and like to interact a little with the more mellow dogs and I’ve been enjoying going for walks alongside my doggie friends at the shelter, so if you have a nice more mellow dog at home, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no very young kids that I may bump over or that may pull on my ears as they are sensitive or hug me which I may see as restraint.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a friendly, super playful, and smart guy who’s sweet as can be and truly a very good boy. I’ve been a calm, loving senior with great manners who listens well (and does best with gentle and kind words) and enjoys being close to the nice volunteers. I get spurts of energy that are so fun. I’m especially good for my medicated showers - I stay calm and sweet, even lifting my paws for massages and rinsing. A walk-in shower with a sprayer is just my style as I don’t want to get in a tub, and I enjoy the gentle massage that comes with it. / Energy Level: 4-6.       • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for all their rescue dogs. / My crate manners have been good, though I don’t seem to really need a crate. / I’m doing well with my potty manners on the shelter schedule and did well in the prison/foster training program, and a temp. foster home I visited, too.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love spending time with the nice volunteers, playing with my toys (and I’ll happily drop them for a treat!), and getting scratches - I can never get enough!  I’m a big fan of tough toys since I tend to make quick work of the soft ones, but that’s okay because the hard toys are my absolute favorites anyway!  I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we will enjoy doing together in my new home. / I am skittish when anyone uses harsh words or corrections with me, so I want a kind and gentle family that’s more about positive reinforcement.  I’m not a fan of those pesky eye drops.  I also don’t like to be restrained during my vetting, so I wear a muzzle to help things go smoothly, and my trainer is helping me build confidence and comfort with it.  Otherwise, like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.   • MEDICAL:  I’m current on my annual vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. I also had a thorough dental cleaning, so my mouth is fresh and healthy again!  I experience dry eyes from time to time, but I’m not a fan of receiving eyedrops.  I arrived with chronic-untreated ear infections. I’ve had several rounds of cleaning and medications, but this will likely be an ongoing condition due to the past neglect. I’ll need my family to stay proactive about my ear care, which will include some sedated treatments - just ask for more details. I’m currently receiving weekly medicated baths and taking fish oil supplements as my skin and coat continue to improve, and those baths can easily be continued at home in a shower setting. I also take an allergy/itch medication called Zenrelia to help keep my skin comfortable.           I’m a wonderful fellow looking to soak up the good life with a kind and gentle family and to be well taken care of and loved. My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 21, 2026, 8:54 am
