AN ACTIVE, HAPPY PUPPY:  Approx. 5-6 months old / Approx. 34 lbs. & growing Hello – I’m Murphy!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so grateful for their love and care as I wait for my new family to find me.  I’m ready to meet them and start the good life, so – don’t wait – come let me rescue you!  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience off-site and learned a lot! Now I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my new family to adopt me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice dog at home that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet, very playful boy who’s friendly, happy, active, fun, and smart! I was well behaved for my shelter bath and ear cleaning and seem to be a pretty good listener, too.  I’ve even heard the volunteers call me “a wonderful pup,” and that sure makes me happy! / Energy level: 6-8, so I’ll want a family that will be active with me. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I've mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts.  I’m still a young pup learning the rules of home life, so crating me when I’m unsupervised will help me stay out of things while I learn what’s mine to play with.  / My potty habits were good in the off-site training program, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home as well. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  A typical young pup, I LOVE to play and I love treats!  Capturing toys and running around in the play yard are two of my favorite things.  I would love a fenced yard in my new home where we can do just that together!  An affectionate guy, I also love to cuddle - so let’s make time for that between my play sessions, okay? / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, though like all dogs I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

A SUPER FRIENDLY GIRL:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi, my name is Nora!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  I’ve been through a lot and am looking forward to finding my new family with Mostly Mutts’ help.  I needed to have my tail amputated to get relief from the pain of happy tail.  Also, I am heartworm positive.  The good news is my tail amputation is behind me, and I have been treated for heartworms and am in my recovery period now.  I am excited for the life that awaits me in a happy, loving home!  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was very talkative, but not aggressive, so if you have a nice doggie at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a smart girl who is ‘super curious and a lover of attention’.  I’m a ‘people dog’ who is playful and happy.  I can be a little vocal in the shelter environment when I'm in my little room, but once I settled into the prison/foster training program, I relaxed and became much quieter. With a consistent routine and a comfortable environment, I show off my calm and easygoing personality!  I am ready to be a great companion to a wonderful family.  I have a little bit of ‘stranger danger’ when I see people wearing dark clothing, though I never show any aggression.  / Energy level:  3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners were good in the off-site training program.  The trainers have found that I don’t really need one and enjoy sleeping outside of it overnight.  / My potty habits were good in the off-site training program.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to give and receive affection – collecting snuggles and leaning in for a nice hug.  It’s just the best!  I always enjoy it when the volunteers break out the toys at the shelter.  Play time is always fun!  Stretching my legs in the play yard in the off-site training program is one of my favorite parts of the day! I love having room to run and explore, and don’t worry, I'll happily come right back when called.  / I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  My tail has been amputated, so it is no longer painful.  Since my previous owner did not keep me on heartworm prevention, I came to MM heartworm positive.  Thankfully, I’ve been treated for it and am in my recovery period now, which will conclude mid-late July.  I will have my heartworm re-check in mid-December, so local adoption is best.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my new family should consult their vet about a dental cleaning in the future.  I’m looking for a wonderful home with a loving family that will treasure me for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

Story
A FUN, PLAYFUL & ACTIVE GUY:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 40 lbs.  Hi, my name is Asher!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, & I’m very grateful.  The volunteers are taken with my unusual breed mix, my handsome ginger brindle coat, & compact body.  I bet you will be, too!  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot!  I am currently in a wonderful foster home, waiting for my match! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I enjoy playing with & going for walks with other dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts, but I should not live with another dog as I have guarded toys & dog beds from them.  I can be barky/reactive when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you exactly how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / No cats! / I get a little excited to see children, so kids age 15+ would be the best fit for me, as I wouldn’t want to bump over younger children & toddlers make me uncomfortable. So, if you have kids 15+ let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet, happy & fun-natured guy who has earned the reputation of being ‘goofy & funny’ around the shelter. I am full of playful energy & am not shy about speaking my mind, so I don’t think an apartment/condo-type home would be a good fit for me.  I would love a backyard with a fence, as one of my favorite activities is chasing a ball.  I will even bring it back to you as long as you will throw it.  My foster parents have realized that I am also very good at entertaining myself inside, so I’d make a good office dog.  I really enjoy going on walks & I do enjoy several of them during the day in my foster home.  I’m a lot of dog in a medium sized package.  I’m also very sweet, protective & fun!  I am great in the shower or bath, when my foster parents give me my weekly bath.  Affectionate & social with the people I’ve been properly introduced to, I have all the traits of a great companion. I, however, am not the kind of dog you would take to the kids’ sporting events, or a busy park, etc. since I can be reactive.  I look forward to meeting all the members of my new home at my adoption! / My energy level is 6–8, so I am looking for a family member who will be active with me.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ & ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette & have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping when properly introduced.  I get distracted by sounds I hear on my walk that I don’t recognize, so my trainer used the ‘leave it’ command to keep me on track on our walks.  I’m very food motivated, so that makes my training fun & yummy! Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / I did well in my little room at Mostly Mutts.  In my foster home, I have perfect crate manners, & easily go into my crate when my foster parents have to leave the house.  I even put myself to bed at night, by going into my crate without being asked. / In my foster home, I have had wonderful potty manners with no accidents.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I LOVE toys - especially rubber ones with deep squeakers, Nylabones, & large squeaky tennis balls.  I can entertain myself while you’re busy, or we can play fetch together - just throw the ball!  A nice, fenced yard would be great for our play sessions. When it’s time to relax, I enjoy lots of petting & cuddles, & I secretly believe I’m a lap dog, so don’t be surprised if I climb up & give you a big hug with my paws on your shoulders. I also like walks, though I’ll need a strong walker since I’m a strong boy & can sometimes be reactive to people & other animals, so let’s go find some quieter places to explore together. I absolutely love car rides, too! / I have been frightened by certain loud motors, the vacuum, doorbells ,etc., but I can be trained not to react to those as I’m smart. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, & training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped & neutered. I may need to wear a muzzle when vetted & for nail trims as this can be frightening to me. I am looking for a dog savvy family where I will be cherished!  My adoption fee is $299.00, & I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

A FRIENDLY & FUN GIRL:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 34 lbs. Hi, I’m Taryn!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the nice volunteers, who spend time with and take great care of me.  I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot!   Now I hear that I’m ready to find a wonderful family of my very own – where I can love and be loved furever!  I hope to meet them very soon!        • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and I needed some time to warm up to them, but once I did, I liked them.  I can be vocal when playing and meeting other dogs.  It helped when I had a few visits with the same dog, so if you have a nice, patient doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals.  / Cats unknown. / I met two nice boys around 6 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so a home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me - and kids should not hug me (as I don’t like to feel restrained).  Let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a friendly, active, happy, and fun dog.  I love nothing more than I love people!  I was very sweet and handled my bath, and nail trim well.  I am a bit vocal when I see other dogs or people and fast movements or loud noises may startle me, but I recover quickly.  / Energy level: 4-6.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners have been good.  In the prison/foster training program, I didn’t need a crate and enjoyed sleeping outside of it.  / My potty habits are good on the prison/foster training program schedule, so hopefully that’ll be the case in my new home, too! • LIKES/DISLIKES: Spending time with the volunteers is my favorite thing, and I’ll gladly soak up all the attention, pets, and affection you have to give.  I also like playing with toys, and I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we’ll enjoy doing together in my new home. / Other than other dogs and restraint for my vetting, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I wasn’t a fan of being restrained during vetting, so a muzzle may be helpful during my vetting.  I’m a fun-loving gal looking for a wonderful family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

AN ACTIVE & WONDERFUL FRIEND: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi, my name is Wilson!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the volunteers, who take great care of me, but nothing will beat a home and family of my own.  I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience and learned a lot!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and in my foster home and I like them a lot – so much so that my trainer uses me to help other pups learn how to play! I’m an excitedly vocal player, so if you have dogs at home already that wouldn’t mind this, let’s meet! / We all agree that I should not live with cats.  I have shown a prey drive on my walks towards squirrels and other small animals; however, I was friendly with the >10 lb. chihuahua neighbor dog in my foster home.  / I have met several children of various ages with my foster and have done well with them, accepting pets while displaying my calm and affectionate nature.  If you have kids at home, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly, fun, and happy guy with a playful, goofy, and sweet personality who is full of love.  I have so much happy enthusiasm to share, and I did great during my bath, too - I even drank from the sprayer and handed out kisses.  I’m a chatty, vocal player who loves to “talk” while I play with both people and other dogs. It’s just my sweet way of letting you know I’m having fun!  I’m a loving, affectionate boy who can’t wait to brighten your days.  I’ll need some time to adjust to my new home and will likely make a little noise until I know that I’m home and have settled in, so best no apartment. / Energy Level: 7-9. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / The crate is not my favorite place, so I do some whining in there.  In my foster home, I’m crated when my foster leaves the house and I sleep in a doggie bed in my foster’s bedroom overnight./ My potty habits are good in my foster home, where I’ve learned to ring a bell on the door to let my foster know when I need to go. If she doesn’t come quick enough, I’ll go running around the house looking for her! • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing with toys, especially tennis balls, and I never say no to a peanut butter treat, pup cup, or bully stick.  I’ve destuffed a few toys and shredded a blanket, so please just watch me with these items.  Chin scratches are the best, and they always make my tail wag!  I enjoy hikes and visiting craft festivals / farmers markets with my foster where I have not minded the crowds.  I look to my foster for permission to hop onto the couch.  Once she gives it, I love to cuddle and snuggle with her.  At the end of the day, being with my people is really what I’m after.  / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I recently started 2 inexpensive stress/anxiety medications to help with some mild separation anxiety that I’m experiencing.  Hopefully I will no longer need it once I’ve settled into my new home. I’m a wonderful pup looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

Story
ARE YOU MY PERSON?  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 37 lbs. Hi, my name is Cecelia!  I was adopted from Mostly Mutts and returned after about nine months.  When I came back, I was very shut down and scared - very different from how I was before, so I was pretty stressed at the shelter.  I am now in a foster home and doing great there.  I am learning to feel safe and work through some of my fear of new people.  I am looking for someone who will be patient and trust that I will blossom once I really get to know you. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I would like to be your only dog, as I tend to guard my person from other dogs in a home setting.  However, I can enjoy walks or even a day trip alongside another dog. I do play with another very submissive dog in my foster home, but my foster watches us closely. / Cats unknown. / Mostly Mutts recommends calmer kids 15 and older due to my past fear challenges with new people, so let’s meet.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My whole-body wags with joy when I get to spend time with the volunteers that I’m comfortable with.  I did have “stranger danger” challenges at first, mainly with men, but once I really trust you, man or woman, I will crawl in your lap because I think I am a lap dog!  Until I trust you, reaching over my head or grabbing at me, or grabbing my collar scares me, so a snap is my way of warning.  Please give me time to come to you and don’t rush me.  I was labeled high energy from my previous home, but my foster family says I am the perfect housemate. / My energy level is 4-6.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’ commands and I look forward to learning more.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are great. / My potty manners have been good at Mostly Mutts and wonderful in my foster home.  My foster mommy says I am an easy house mate for someone that works.    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like to be with people that I trust - my favorite thing is sitting in your lap once I trust you.  I like treats and tennis balls, and I’d benefit from a fenced yard in my new home.  After some playing, I love to snuggle up to my people and relax.  I also love car rides, and I sit quietly in the back seat! / I am looking for someone or a couple that doesn’t like to have a lot of company.  But if someone does come over, I am happy to go to my kennel so you can visit, and I don’t have to be a part of it as I enjoy my quite time also.    • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.     I am looking for a great home with someone who wants to help me continue to trust.  I really do want it!!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    June 28, 2026, 7:21 am

Story
Punky is a true Boxer, energetic, curious, smart and loveable. We bought her from a breeder in Florida and she is 1 year 4 months old. Putty trained as well as cage trained but she loves to be outside. She needs lots of exercise and loves to play fetch. Due to being a puppy still, she gets into trouble chewing things. We have been boxer owners for years while our kids were home, we thought that we could mange another, but being older and not being home due to work, we find we cannot give her the time she needs. She is trained in many commands and pays attention when needed. Overall, she is a great dog with a strong mind and mischevious at times. She needs a home where she can get enough exercise and play time, patience and willing to finish her training. A home with older children will be perfect since she is very strong and thinks she is a lap dog. The new owner needs to understand that even though she is big, she is still a puppy. Reading about the breed is helpful.

Story
