Story
Meet Teddy! This 4-year-old, 60lb hunk of love is the sweetest, gentlest mush you’ll ever meet! Teddy is crate trained, incredibly polite, and takes treats like a gentleman (just his lips!). He’s a mellow couch hippo who’s always down for snacks, cuddles, and the occasional zoomie. He knows his basics—Sit, Down, Shake, Wait, Kennel—and is learning new tricks every day. Though a bit shy with water and sudden movements (he’s had a rough past), he’s making amazing progress with patience and love. Teddy adores butt scratches, stuffies, and his foster sibling, and he’s happy to chill on his own or soak up affection with a surprised little wiggle. He’s a happy-go-lucky guy who could slide right into just about any home. Currently undergoing heartworm treatment (he’s already started meds), Teddy is ready to keep healing in a forever home full of kindness and snacks. Teddy is the good-est boy—and he can’t wait to meet you!

Story
A Bully breed with a long tail, perky ears - Girlie gets along with everything and everyone! 2 years old, 50 lbs, housetrained, crate trained and loves car rides! Her Story : (YouTube link) https://youtube.com/shorts/72xb9ckhfVQ?si=KcnKts4vUs9-bbjW Girlie was treated with antibiotics for Urinary Track Infection (UTI) and skin infections; then required a Transpalpebral Enucleation of her left eye. She does not currently have any special needs or medical needs. Girlie has recovered completely from being neglected! Dewormed, Vaccinated, Spayed, Microchipped and on prevention (testing heartworm negative) - she is ready to travel this Spring. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Due to illness and starvation at intake, Girlie will guard her food (eating in a kennel keeps the peace) Resource Guarding is a normal behavior for dogs who have been without. Girlie lets her foster take her food, play with her during eating and tolerates sharing attention and waits patiently for her turn to get a treat. She low growls if other animals come near her food during meal times.

Story
He is an American Bully with an easy going attitude. Lazy. Affectionate. Playful. Quiet. He looks like a seal or potbelly pig with his extra large head with cropped off ears and tiny legs. He is healthy (he has easy to manage seasonal allergies) and active, crate trained and house trained. Dog and kid friendly- He is fostered with dogs of every size, he does best with larger females since he can be bossy. Most male dogs try to challenge him due to his size. Cheeseburglar is a LOVER not a fighter, he barks for attention. He spends most of his days napping on a Quilt in the AC. Favorite Color: Orange Favorite Toy: Squeaky Duck Stuffy Favorite Food: Cheese HIS-STORY: This strikingly handsome low rider was caught sleeping curled up in the home office with the cats, 'caught' because he didn’t live there and had pushed open a door during a storm and made himself at home. He was put outside to wait for Animal Control, a ride to the county jail for trespassing. He was bailed out and efforts made for the past few weeks to local owners. Always surprised at who needs a second chance, this American Bully with cut off ears and a dominate personally, needs a confident family to give him rules and exercise. Cheeseburglar needed a few extra meals and medications for a skin infections from fleas (dermatitis) which has resolved. Now neutered, up to date on vaccines and testing heartworm negative.

Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. April 7, 2025, 7:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cyrus had parvo at a shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized as there was no room to isolate him. A foster was able to take him home and provide the medical care he needed. Now he has recovered completely and is ready to find his forever home. He is a burst of energy and constantly wants to play. He gets along well with the foster's dogs. He would not do well with cats. He needs an owner that is just as energetic and has time to take him places to burn off all that extra energy. He is still cautious with strangers but warms up  quickly. He does dig under the fence so he needs a highly  enforced yard or someone who can take him out on a leash. He loves to play with toys and will run around the yard with them. He loves attention and knows how to sit, lay down, and crawl. The foster is currently working on stay. If given the chance he will be your best friend! Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Romeo is an amazing pet who needs a family who can provide him with all the love he needs. Romeo is being rehomed due to lack of space, time, and a growing family. Romeo has been trained with an e-collar that he’s still using and is also cage trained. Romeo is registered with the ABKC. He’s very active, friendly, loves people, and requires a lot of playtime and attention. Our ideal family would have a lot of space inside and outside for Romeo as well. Me and my husband love Romeo so much, but we want to do what’s best for him so he can live a fulfilling life.
