Story

Ice is a great tow truck passenger and a great addition to the house, but he would be happier without smaller kiddos in the house due to not understanding he isn't a 10ths dog He would love to be the only dog but will be okay if he isn't as long as you set hard boundaries at all times. He's a very happy go lucky boy. Does attempt to get into the trash can but otherwise is pretty much house trained when someone is home. He's kennel trained, muzzle trained, shock collar and pinch collar trained, and is leash trained with consistent discipline when passing other dogs. He loves his people and other people he doesn't know, will bark at people walking by the house. He loves car rides but windows must be up as he tries chasing the dotted lines on the road. Insanely food and water motivated. Will lay by you all night and all day if allowed. Not much of a toy dog he would prefer to just be near humans or watching out of the windows. He does get skin irritations when rolling around in the grass too long or getting Purina foods. We have done raw meals and dry kibble with him and he loves both equally. Currently lives with 2 adults 1 child (9) 2 dogs and 1 cat. Will follow you all around the house unless he can lay on the couch right by the windows. He has gone running with me, has also gone for runs while I rollerblade (both of which he is leashed and has pinch collar and shock collar on). He dislikes RC cars and anything on wheels that make noise like the vacuum. He will watch movies with you in bed, literally, and will growl to make sure the scary things don't get you through the tv screen.

It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! Meatloaf... its whats for DINNER!!! I will take a side of mashed taters and some GRAVY too :) I am actually the puppy, formerly known as HAMBURGER, but mixed with some love, spice and a little ketchup and turned into THIS BIG HUNKA LOVE!! (with a side of cute and silly too) I have a big heart and a big personality too. I want to be someone's really really good friend, and guess what?? I am even BETTER on the second day! Put a slice of Meatloaf between two slices of bread with more ketchup and you are feasting again for lunch! Anyway, enuff about food.. I am seriously getting hungry! The kind of hunger that can only be satisfied with a REAL FAMILY like yours! I am sweet and happy, I am goofy and happy and I am squishy and happy too! So if you have not figured it out yet... When my patches get their OWN patches, then we have a problem...... I am PATCHES, and as you can see I have PATCHES all over me ;) I actually am a very very good looking guy, I have half a white face and the rest is black patchwork, but it makes me look like the "Phantom of the Opera"- complete with the COOL music!! I haven't always been this cute.... well, OK yes I have, but what I mean is, I haven't always been this healthy and happy. I came from a small, super high kill shelter in East TX with basically NO HOPE of getting out alive... but the RESCUER from San Antonio said, "WE will take him" BING!!! Just like that my life had a NEW meaning! My hot dog lady calls me, her "bestest boy" and I LOVE to love her! She gives me all kinds of hugs and takes me out for walks in the river and puppuccinos and I am just like her bestest friend! Are your nights getting ruff and lonely? Need a partner to keep an eye out on ya? I got your left, cause I'm Lefty! As you may be able to see, my right ear has disappeared!! Kind of like magic but with lots of blood/infection and no one really knows what happened to it cause I was found like that :( But don't feel sorry for me, I was SAVVEDDDDDD!!! And my ear was completely cleaned up and fixed and I still have an intact ear canal so no deafness here!! AND I'm just a big, huggable, goofball who needs a home and some love! I'm like a traditional Labrador; food motivated, eager to play, and a big cuddler. I probably have some American Bulldog in me cause I am SOLID :) Maybe we can hang out on the couch and eat some snacks together- you KNOW I love snacks!!
