Hello, my name is Frodo or Fitzgerald! I’m a 2.5 year old happy energetic pup that’s listed as a Great Dane Mix. I’m overall pretty friendly with all. I am kennel trained and a great eater, which means I’m also fun to teach new tricks to! I would be best suited to go to a new home that has a schedule and lifestyle that I can be a huge part of. Since I’m young and full of energy I would do best in a fenced in yard or have the ability to have new activities I can be a part of like hiking or day trips to explore new places. I need solid leadership as sometimes I need to be a little recentered or refocused when I get over stimulated. Because of this, I would be best in a place without young children as I’m still a little uncoordinated from time to time and little kid energy is a bit confusing for me. Kids who are a little older and are interested in helping train me are definitely an exception. Basically from the get go I’m going to just need consistency throughout everyone in the household to help me learn the rules so I can settle in successfully. My current foster mom does in-home boarding at our house so I spend my days meeting new dogs and some new people, so I am pretty well socialized and very much thrive with all the constant stimulation. I do best meeting others outside my kennel in an open space, I tend to be submissive and take appropriate correction from dogs older than me, very well as I’m constantly learning ways to play with all different sizes and breeds. Peaches is a three year old beautiful Bully mix who is ready for a new chapter in her life. She came to us very pregnant and dirty from a shelter in February 2026. She gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies in her warm foster home in March. Now that her puppies have found their "happily ever afters" with their forever homes, Peaches is looking for a family to call her own. She is an affectionate, sweet, and loving companion who would rather lay on you than next to you. She is definitely a couch potato and homebody. She loves her naps! She is potty- and crate-trained and loves playing with toys and getting treats. She has been gentle and loving with her puppies and the adults and children (ages 8, 10, 12) in her foster home. She does great in the car and on walks and, due to her love for treats, is highly trainable. Peaches has an inconsistent relationship with the dogs and cats she's lived with in rescue: some pets she doesn't care about or even enjoys and other pets she doesn't care for and can be aggressive towards. Simba is a very loving and playful dog. He loves fetch and can chew through just about anything. He needs the ability to run around and play. Hes very curious and very food motivated. We unfortunately live in an apartment and he does not have the space he needs to run around and play. We aren't asking for any fees just a loving home that can take him.

Part lap dog, part seal, and 100% lovable! Crumpet came all the way from Alabama and has decided that life here in Minnesota is pretty darn good—especially when it involves people, kids, cozy laps, and a patio rug! This sweet girl is an absolute lover. If there’s a lap available, Crumpet would like to formally request it. She adores people and kids, rarely barks, does great in the car, and is an absolute hoot. Crumpet currently lives with three other dogs. It took her a little while to figure out what this whole “playing” thing was about, but she’s now started showing off her funny little moves and even enjoys cuddling and playing with her roommate, Daisy. One of Crumpet’s greatest talents is heading out to the patio, flopping onto her favorite rug, doing a full sploot , and dragging her belly around like a little seal. We think her belly may be a bit itchy, but she certainly makes it entertaining! Crumpet also enjoys daily walks, chewing on Nylabones, watermelon, naps on the patio, and, of course, snuggling with her favorite humans and doggy roommates. She has made so much progress during her several months in foster care. Her foster family has worked hard to keep her on a consistent schedule with house training. When she first arrived, Crumpet was recovering from heartworm and had to take it easy for the first several weeks. Now she’s enjoying walks, adventures, and all the little things that make life fun. I’ve been slowly coming out of my shell in my foster home, and while I can be cautious and shy at first, I’m making progress every day. I may need a little time to feel comfortable in a new environment, but once I know I’m safe, my loving and affectionate personality really starts to shine. One of my favorite things in the whole world is getting attention from my people. I absolutely LOVE being pet, and belly scratches are pretty much the way to my heart! I also have a funny habit of making myself into a lap dog. I may be a big guy, but that certainly doesn’t stop me from wanting to climb up next to you and cuddle. If you’re looking for a companion who will happily snuggle up with you and soak up all the love you’re willing to give, I might just be your guy. I also really enjoy having canine friends. I love other dogs and can be playful with them. I currently live with two small dogs in my foster home, and I’ve been very respectful of their size and space. Having another confident, friendly dog around may even help me continue to build my confidence. I’m also okay with cats, although I sometimes forget that they aren’t supposed to be a fun game of chase! Because of that, any cats in my future home would need proper supervision and introductions. I’m becoming more interested in toys, too! I’m still discovering what toys are all about, but large plush toys have definitely caught my attention. I’m sure with time, patience, and encouragement, I’ll continue to discover more things that I enjoy. I’m also starting to enjoy going on walks. There is still some work to do in the leash-training department, though! I’m an extremely strong boy, and when I see another dog, I can get VERY excited and want to pull toward them. My foster family is helping me work on my leash manners, and I’ll need someone who is patient, consistent, and willing to continue that training with me. I already know some basic commands, including sit, go potty, outside, and kennel, so I’m definitely capable of learning and continuing to improve. One thing that is especially important for me is having access to a secure, fenced yard every day. I absolutely love the freedom of being able to safely explore and enjoy a fenced-in space, and it’s something I would really benefit from having in my forever home. A fenced yard will also give me a great opportunity to get exercise, sniff around, play, and simply enjoy being a dog without the pressure of a leash. I can be sensitive to overwhelming commotion, and busy or chaotic environments can be scary for me. I would do best with a family who understands that I may need some time to adjust and decompress when I first arrive. A calm, patient home where I can settle in at my own pace would help me feel secure and allow my true personality to come out. I don’t need someone to rush me—I just need someone willing to give me the time and reassurance I deserve. I’m still healing physically, too. I’m currently finishing antibiotics after having an abscess that has cleared up. I have some scars around my neck, as well as a few scabs that are continuing to heal. My elbows also have some rough spots and scabs that should continue to improve with time and proper care.  Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m an incredibly loving boy. I’m learning to trust, learning to play, learning to enjoy walks, and learning that I can relax and be loved. I have so much potential, and I’m already showing what a wonderful companion I can be. I’m looking for a forever family who will be patient with me, give me time to adjust, continue helping me with my leash skills, and appreciate all the love and cuddles I have to offer. In return, I’ll give you a whole lot of affection, companionship, and probably more than a few attempts to convince you that I absolutely belong in your lap! Do you have a couch that has too much space? Do you have grass that needs to be rolled on? Then let me introduce you to Bubba. You may know him better by his stage name, DJ Bubbasaur. He is all about a good back scratch, a kong to wrestle with, and a couch partner to lounge with as you watch your favorite trash tv. He is on the low energy side when indoors, however Bubba is a good disciplined walker as long as you are good with going his pace. He is there for the smells, brief zooms when going downhill, and scratching his back on particularly appealing lawns. Bubba is a chill and good with people. He should be a solo-pet as he does not do well with other dogs/cats encroaching on his personal space, but is happy to walk with and interact with other dogs in public spaces (e.g. breweries). A good chew toy is his favorite, but they need to be sturdy as he is very adept at getting the squeak out of squeaky toys and stuffy dog toys have a tendency to explode in his presence. He does not chew on couches or furniture, but Bubba has been known to rearrange the cushions to make himself a personal dog couch fort.

 **Amy is waiting for her person.**    Amy is the kind of dog who wants to be **close to you**—close enough to cuddle, close enough to sleep nearby, and close enough to know exactly where her people are… but not so close that she has to push you out of bed.    She has been learning and growing while in foster care, and we’re starting to see more of her sweet personality come out. She’s already showing us that she can learn.   This weekend, Amy met my in-laws for the first time. Radar was found as a stray and it has been exciting to watch his personality come out in his foster home. Radar is ball obsessed, treat motivated, can't get enough of a solid chew toy, and so smart. He loves the other dog in his home and has been respectful of the cat. He loves every person we meet. Radar is also attentive when walking on a loose leash and potty trained. He's still learning to enjoy being in his kennel. He will stay occupied with a Kong and some cartoons, but will cry on occasion. To be safe, avoid shared walls with this guy. Radar is a high energy pup, well socialized, and would thrive with an active family. He gets so excited around kids but due to his size, would do best in a home with older kids.
