Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 2-year old American Bulldog and Australian Cattle dog is our best guess on the mix. He has a lower coat and does shed. He is a bit of a puller on leash when he first gets out of his kennel. He is intelligent, affectionate and ready to learn. It doesn’t appear he would be hard to train but may have not had a lot of training in his first home. He would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker. He is sturdy and could keep pace and would love to join his human. He is in my opinion a perfect man dog. He loves men naturally and leans in to show his affection. He hasn’t been reactive on leash when walking around other dogs. He is social and not afraid of new people. He is exuberant so we think he would be best around children that are 8 or older. He would do great with an active family that wants an active companion. He does slow down and likes to chill out as well. He is not perpetual motion. He is getting neutered soon and is already getting his vaccinations and will be chipped. He is hw negative and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, keeping tabs on her kingdom like the gentle queen she is. When she’s not cuddling, she loves to catch a ball or chase a squeaky toy, and she’ll trot along politely for a short stroll. She is not, however, training for a marathon—her motto is “slow and steady with lots of snacks.” This lovely bulldog has a touch of arthritis, so her walks are casual and easygoing. She’s wonderfully well-mannered for bath time, meals, and daily routines, and she’ll sit patiently while you clean her adorable little face folds, especially if there’s a treat waiting afterward. She may be shy with new people or startled by loud noises and fast movements, but she simply hops back a step and then carries on. With a little time and trust, she settles in beautifully. Lady Godiva enjoys the company of other dogs but doesn’t require one in her home—she’s just as happy playing with you. Cats and other creatures? She doesn’t mind them one bit. She’s crate trained, potty trained, great in the car, and knows several helpful commands, including sit, come, wait, and go potty. This girl truly aims to please. She is sugar-sweet to her humans, foster-sister pup, and even her resident barn cat. If you’re looking for an affectionate, gentle couch companion who toddles around with quiet joy and melts straight into your heart, Lady Godiva is ready to be your loyal sidekick and your cutest cuddle buddy. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  Bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers, Brussels Griffons, Pekingese and others are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. These breeds are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for these breeds usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires a separate application and an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. MEET FORREST Forrest holds a special place in our hearts! Crawling his paralized self to safety only for the public to turn around and treat him like he was a problem. He was never the problem! He knew that if he got himself to safety the right people were going to find him and boy did he get lucky! Forrest was picked up by a rescuer and brought to the vet for attention. He now has a wheel chair and can cruise all over the place! He is living the best life in his foster home and is SO ready to find a home to call his own where he will be loved and treated how a sweet, kind and happy pup like him should be treated!

Like, Beans?? My name is BEANS?? Ok, well maybe a little "fancier" to be called Frijoles, lol.... I am kind of like a bean...a JUMPING bean or maybe a black (and white) bean?? Yes, ok, so you understand my plight... I want to be called an ADOPTED BEAN! I want someone to see my face and go... I LOVE HIM, I WANT TO ADOPT HIM, and I WANT TO GIVE HIM A FUREVER HOME!! That is the goal here ;) I want you to know that my sad face is definitely just an act.... I am a happy boy, I love to play and run and be loved on...i just am not for the camera. So as I said, I am a happy boy, I am an active boy, I am best in an active family with older kids or no kids cause I am a big puppy and will knock over a little one pretty easily (and I don't mean it!!) I am good with other active and happy dogs, no small animals cause I tend to be a whirlwind of activity and a smaller animal may not like that!
