Yumi is a 2-year-old Bulldog mix who is eager to explore the world around her! Weighing in at 50 lbs, she is a sweet and energetic, wants nothing more than to be close to her humans, and makes the silliest noises when she's sleeping or sniffing on a walk.She is house-trained, crate-trained, and makes for a great roommate because of how she loves to lounge and snuggle—especially when belly rubs are involved!—and isn't noisy when left alone. Whether it’s hanging out together at home or heading out for a quiet sniff walk, Yumi thrives when she feels connected to her person. She is currently in training and working hard on important life skills like calmness, self-control, leash walking, and more polite household manners. She’s a smart dog who enjoys learning and responds well to positive reinforcement training. However, if pressured too hard too soon by men, she may show some fearfulness. This was something reported by her first foster home.Yumi has a fun, playful side with her people and enjoys engaging games and interaction. At the same time, she’s learning that relaxing and settling are valuable skills too. This may be related to discomfort from her hind leg pain, which can understandably make a dog less patient. Meet Bojangles! This loving bully mix is just five months old and already the happy go lucky kind of dog that people dream of having. While adventuring and floating on the river are his favorite activities so far, this fella is also down for playing with other dogs. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Some would think with a name like Giles, you'd expect a refined gentleman, with a British accent and a penchant for historical literature to help train this generation's vampire slayer, but alas, the reality is a spicy meatloaf content to be a house hippo with the occasional bought of zoomies.   Mr. Giles is a lovable lug, who enjoys spending his days either taking naps, playing with toys, or trying desperately to get his much older foster siblings to play with him. Giles would love a home with a fur sibling that enjoys playing together, or a home where the humans enjoy playing with him and spending a lot of time together. Giles has gotten along well with dogs his own size and smaller, and while he hasn’t had much exposure to dogs larger than him, he should get along just fine. Giles has not had any exposure to cats, but his play with the smaller dog in the home would suggest he would be very curious and try to get them to play too. Giles can be a bit mouthy and likes to jump yet, so he would do best with older dog savvy children.   Giles is a smart fellow, he's picking up simple commands like "sit" and "leave it". Potty training still needs a little bit of work, but that is mostly due to the fact that his foster sibling uses a potty pad, so he thinks he should too. He does wonderfully in a crate, and has done really well with being redirected to chew toys, versus his foster mom's shoes.   He's a silly man, who will run laps around the yard, and then flop onto the couch for belly rubs and a nap. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. When he’s excited, his whole body wiggles—not just his tail—and his big, joyful “smile” is impossible to resist. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, walks beautifully on a leash, and is the perfect passenger for car rides. Truly, he has never met a stranger. At home, Renji is a sweet mix of cuddly and independent. He loves being near his humans, giving kisses, and burrowing into pillows on the couch or bed, but he also enjoys having his own space to relax. He’s well‑trained, eager to please, and knows an impressive list of commands including Sit, Stay, Down, Heel, Wait, Leave It, Shake, and more. He’s potty trained, does great on walks, and enjoys exploring the yard. He doesn’t react to squirrels or bunnies but will give a few barks to the mail carrier or delivery drivers. Renji is ball obsessed—fetch is his absolute favorite game, and he’ll happily play as long as you’re willing. Just be prepared: he won’t drop the ball unless he sees you have another one ready to go. Patches is a bulldog/pittie mix who was born on March 4th. He is mostly white but has the coolest brindle patches over his body. Patches has only ever known the good life as he was born in rescue to a doting mama, Peaches. He has spent all his days with his 4 brothers and 2 sisters in various puppy pens or humans' arms. As far as puppies go, Patches is a pretty chill little guy. He does not demand attention like some of his siblings, but he is always happy to be snuggled up on a human's lap. Like any puppy his age, he is not potty trained and does not yet walk on a leash. But, if he's anything like his mama, he will grow into a sweet, affectionate adult dog.
