I even overheard my human brother say “Janet is a keeper!” That made my heart so happy. I love love love being with my family. They do spoil me though. I get to sleep in the big bed with them and I am the best sleeper! I sleep all night like a good girl. I am used to the kennel while they’re at work but lately they’ve even started letting me have free roam while they are at work. My mom says I am doing wonderful. I just sleep or chew my toys while they are at work. I’ve never once have gotten into anything! I love my walks!! I go on 2 walks a day. My family says that I need to get better while walking because I am so strong. I was a stray when I was little, never lived in a home, so I just need more time to work on this. I would love a fence because I love to run around and sniff all the squirrels and rabbits but it's not a necessity.Let's meet soon. I promise you will love me forever!!Janet is heartworm positive and has completed her treatment. She is awaiting a negative test result which can take place 9 months after treatment, in July, per our vets recommendations. She is no longer needing to be on exercise restrictions. Janet will also need continued use of monthly heartworm preventives going forward. At 42 pounds, he’s still very much a puppy at heart, curious about everything and always ready for playtime. Toys are a must, and variety keeps him happy since he can get bored quickly. He’s learning how to settle down with the help of his crate, which has become his quiet space for naps when he’s overstimulated. Howdy does well in the crate both at home and away, and he’s already mastered basic commands like “Sit,” “Stay,” “Come,” and “Down.” He’s treat-motivated and eager to learn, though his high energy means he’ll need a patient, consistent leader to guide him. Walks are one of his favorite activities, though leash manners are still a work in progress—he’s strong and can pull, but he’s improving with practice. He’s potty trained, enjoys chewing bones, and loves exploring new spaces with slow introductions. Loud noises can startle him, but he bounces back quickly. Howdy is goofy, playful, and protective, with a big heart that’s ready to bond with the right family. Because of his size and energy, he’ll do best with older or considerate kids and may not be a match for small dogs. He’s looking for a home that can match his enthusiasm, provide structure, and celebrate his silly, lovable spirit. With patience and leadership, Howdy will grow into a loyal, fun companion who brings joy and laughter every day. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. MEET FORREST Forrest holds a special place in our hearts! Crawling his paralized self to safety only for the public to turn around and treat him like he was a problem. He was never the problem! He knew that if he got himself to safety the right people were going to find him and boy did he get lucky! Forrest was picked up by a rescuer and brought to the vet for attention. He now has a wheel chair and can cruise all over the place! He is living the best life in his foster home and is SO ready to find a home to call his own where he will be loved and treated how a sweet, kind and happy pup like him should be treated!

I have already learned how to be a GOOD boy, play well with other dogs and all people. I LOVE KIDS!!! I was found living in a neighborhood after being dumped there. All the neighbors cared so much about me that they fed me and looked after me until they could get me into a GREAT RESCUE!!
