Roto is affectionate, calm, and loyal.. he loves attention and cuddles. Due to life circumstances, I’m looking for a safe, nurturing home where he can heal fully and thrive. The ideal person will be patient, kind, and committed to helping Roto get the medical attention and daily care he needs. Meet Ruco Ruco was a rehome from craigslist about 7 years ago and is now an 8-year-old Australian Cattle Dog seeking a calm, experienced home where he can finally feel safe and settled. I travel too much for work now and cant be around enough. He is not a beginner dog, but for the right person he offers deep loyalty, intense bonding, and constant companionship. Ruco is intelligent, highly food-motivated, and eager to engage with his person. His favorite activity is playing fetch, and daily ball time is essential to his happiness and mental well-being. Ruco thrives with routine, clear expectations, and a confident yet gentle handler. Due to past instability, he can be anxious and reactive in certain situations and needs patience, structure, and thoughtful management. He does best as an only pet in an adult-only, low-traffic home with someone familiar with herding breeds, ideally home often. In return, Ruco will be a devoted shadow, loyal protector, and deeply committed companion.

He enjoys being around other dogs and people, he's great in the car, and he is crate-trained. Mickey has been neutered and microchipped, and he is all up to date on his vaccinations. He would be a great addition to any family looking for a sweet and fun dog to spend quality time with. Note: Transport of this dog anywhere in the US can be provided if needed.

Story
Cowboy was rescued from the side of the road in a suspected dumping situation. He was sweet but cautious and there was evidence he had been tied to a wire fence with a rope that he had chewed through. Cowboy was able to be picked up and carried to the car where he rode anxiously to a vet to get him checked for a microchip. With no microchip found, lab tests were done to check his health. He had no issues come up, his age is estimate 1-3 years old, he is unneutered and around 33 lbs. Cowboy then went to a ranch in Lafayette for fostering and possibly as a forever home. Unfortunately, his high prey drive toward small livestock led to the ranch being a poor fit so Cowboy is looking for a new home. He is very sweet, so far good with people, dogs and children. He has no shots yet. Cowboy would do well in a home alone or only with dogs. Due to being dumped he is still nervous and will take time to adjust, but he would make a great addition to any family.
