Story
My family got Oreo in January. My uncles dog had puppies, and he gave one to my 8-year-old brother. My little brother only paid attention to him when he was a puppy and now does not care about him. I have been the one taking care of him, but it has been challenging since I am a full-time student and also work. Oreo deserves to be with a family that can provide him the love and attention he needs. He has a lot of energy and loves going on walks. He would benefit from having a big yard or even living in a ranch. Oreo is loving, cute, and has a lot of energy. He tend to get a long with other dogs!

Story
Adopt Cedar This Handsome boy has been looking for a home for quite sometime. He was rescued at just 4 months old back in April 2024. All of his siblings found loving homes already. Cedar took some time to open up but Cedar loves the outdoors now! He is shy but playful, great with other pups, curious, and smart (taught himself the dog door on his own), food motivated which is a bonus for training! He’s crate trained, potty trained and just a stunning hound mix who was kill-listed and a true survivor! Cedar is ready for patience and love. He sleeps through the night and is learning to trust humans more and more everyday. Originally he is from the Coachella Valley, Animal Shelter and saved on Easter Sunday. ?We are very thankful for everyone that has helped all the siblings! ? With a total of eight fearful puppies who had nowhere to go. Now they have all one by one come out of their shells at their own time. We would love for Cedar to find a home where he could relax and decompress. These puppies definitely needed love and patience, and they are opening up a little by little. Cedar is one and a half years old and most likely a cattle mix dog who is, great at running and loves dogs! He is located in San Diego California.September 2, 2025, 8:41 am

Story
Meet Kismet – A Resilient and Loving Companion Looking for Her Forever Home Kismet is a stunning 1-2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a heart as big as her beautiful personality. She also happens to be deaf, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit! This sweet girl found herself in a crowded Central Valley shelter, on the verge of giving birth. Perhaps being deaf was a small blessing in such a loud and overwhelming place—but it was still a frightening experience for her. Thankfully, Lucky Dog Rescue stepped in, and Kismet was whisked away to a loving foster home where she could safely raise her newborn puppies. Kismet was a wonderful, devoted mom, and now that all her puppies have found their forever homes, it’s finally her turn. Kismet is great with other dogs. She enjoys playing with the younger dogs in her foster home and is respectful of the senior dog. She’s housebroken, has mastered the dog door, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Like many young dogs, she can be a bit mischievous—she’s been known to chew on things she shouldn’t—but she’s learning to redirect her energy toward appropriate chew toys. On leash, Kismet walks well but can be a little cautious in new environments. She’s shy when meeting new people and needs time to warm up, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion. Once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with cuddles—yes, Kismet is a snuggler! Highly food-motivated, Kismet knows “sit” and is learning additional hand-signal commands. With continued training and love, she’ll thrive in a patient and understanding home. Are you the one who will give Kismet the forever home she deserves? If you’re interested in adopting Kismet, please complete our adoption application at 1luckydogrescue.org or email Sue, dogs@s2springer.com.
