Story
Note - Clover is currently in the Bay Area (Oakland), even though our rescue is based in Los Angeles. We can arrange local introduction and placement. Since my last so-called family dumped me on Christmas Eve 2022, I have been getting myself some extra help to make myself more desirable for humans. Let me tell you, it was not easy since I can be a little anxious and stubborn at the same time, but I am a good and willing student who also likes to please. So, here's the new me: I know my commands. I love going for walks. I love working out on the treadmill or running along with your bike. I enjoy getting to know other dogs but prefer a slow introduction. I can stay in my crate when you need to leave for errands but I'm not gonna lie — I'm still happiest when I can be right next to you. After all, we dogs are made to be man's or woman's best friend, and that is definitely who I want to be for you. If you are interested in meeting Clover, please email us or download the Adoption Questionnaire and email it back to info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321.

Story
Meet Rosita! Rosita is a smart, playful, and affectionate girl who’s ready to charm her way into your home and heart. She's currently potty-trained, though still learning to signal when it's time to go outside—she’s making great progress with positive reinforcement! Training & Skills: Rosita is a quick learner and knows lots of commands including “sit,” “down,” “wait,” “come,” “paw,” “touch,” “leave it,” and “look.” She’s working on loose leash walking and doing great! Highly food-motivated (especially for salmon treats or crunchy chicken chips), she also enjoys puzzle toys, sniff mats, and Kong balls that challenge her brain and keep her busy. Personality & Play: This girl LOVES to play! She enjoys fetch and is a big fan of her jolly ball. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs—particularly those her size—and is full of energy for play sessions and running around. Rosita is also very affectionate and adores belly rubs and cuddle time. Social Skills: Rosita is friendly with people and loves to make new friends. She’s still learning not to jump up when she’s excited and may nip at clothing when overstimulated—but she responds well to training and gentle redirection. She’s good with kids, though she should be monitored around younger ones as her excitement sometimes gets the best of her. Lifestyle & Routine: Rosita is crate-trained and currently enjoys a very active lifestyle—about 3 hours of walk/run time daily plus an hour of independent play. She would thrive with an active adopter who can match her energy and continue her training journey. If you’re looking for a bright, eager-to-please pup who’s equal parts cuddly and fun, Rosita might just be your perfect companion! (KH) Rosita weighs 37 pounds.

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereCalypso has the following ratio of 1/2 independent, 1/2 a cuddle-monster. He definitely likes to lay ON you and be in your lap for snuggles when he wants to get cozy. He does like to stay very close to his human at first, but once he gets settled he can explore his surroundings while checking back in with you.  He's very smart and is already getting the hang of going potty outside. He also knows sit and is working on down and stay, he's picking up new things quickly! He's proving to walk really nicely on leash and he enjoys spending time out in nature sniffing all the smells. He's been in foster with 2 resident dogs and they've been coexisting nicely, mostly calm interactions with a little bit of chase time out in the yard. He is also in foster with a kitty and doesn't chase her. Calypso is going to be a dream dog for someone!! C lick  here  to learn how to adopt and submit your  adoption questionnaire . Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAt just 1 year old and 37 pounds, Carmine is the perfect mix of playful pup and gentle soul. He may be shy at first, but once he feels safe, you’ll quickly discover the sweetest, most loving companion. He is always ready for snuggles, playtime, or showing off his new tricks (he’s already mastered sit and paw in just a few days!). Carmine is crate-trained, potty trained, sleeps through the night, and is content hanging out solo for a few hours—calm, cool, and collected when it matters most. He’s come a long way on his journey and is still building his confidence, so he’ll thrive in a patient, loving home with positive reinforcement and a resident canine sibling to help show him the ropes. Carmine is looking for an experienced adopter familiar with shy/fearful pups. Treats (his love language!) and gentle encouragement go a long way. On walks, Carmine can be a little too excited, but with guidance and patience, he’s eager to keep learning and growing. Carmine is ready to find his person—someone who sees his potential and can give him the safe, supportive home he deserves. I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereEmerald is a bright, wiggly, 6-month-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix with all the sparkle her name promises. At 36 pounds, she’s a bundle of high-energy puppy enthusiasm who loves people, enjoys affection, and is excited to learn about the world. She’s still figuring things out (potty training is confusing, and new situations can make her a bit timid) but she’s gaining confidence quickly. Her crate training and leash skills are improving every day, and she brings a joyful, social spirit to everything she does. In her foster home, Emerald is playful with the resident dog. She may do well with a compatible canine friend or as a solo pup with plenty of opportunities to socialize. Emerald would thrive with an active adopter prepared for the time, structure, and patience a young, energetic dog needs. She’s a loving and lively puppy who’s ready to grow into an amazing companion! Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.December 10, 2025, 3:06 pm

Story
Dolly is a sweet, black-and-white beauty with the most adorable triangle ears that pop straight up when she's happy - and trust us, once she's out of the shelter and in her element, those ears are up a lot. While shelter life can make her a bit anxious, Dolly blossoms once she has the chance to decompress. Outside the kennel, she becomes a total lovebug - affectionate, gentle, and eager to bond. She's happiest when she is able to get her steps and sniffs in. Once she's tuckered out this gorgeous girl settles down well for some snuggles and a nap. Dolly would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. If you're looking for a loving, active, and deeply rewarding companion, Dolly might just be your perfect match. Give her the chance to feel safe and loved - she's ready to give it all back and more.Dolly is currently in a foster home, but if you would like to meet her, please email adoptions@eastbayspca.org Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 52.8 Age: 1yrs 9mths 2wks
