Story
2 yr old, 45 lb CattleDog, German Shepherd and Pitty (?) Mix SPAYED FEMALE for ADOPTION  Meet JuniperAsh BEHR (All of our pets are named after @BEHR Paint colors this month) Juni is a ~2 yr old, 45 lb Cattle Dog and German Shepherd and likely Pitty Mix who joins us from @ She was in desperate need of rescue.  You see, she had had a litter of puppies a few months prior and nipped at a shelter worker when she was protecting her puppies (caused a bruise and a scratch to their skin – no punctures).  Another rescue came and saved her puppies and left her behind.  The staff knew she was a GOOD DOG and held no grudges against her.  But due to this incident, she was being passed over and over again and she was running out of time due to overcrowding. Umbrella of Hope focuses more on medical needs than behavioral needs and if we thought that she was AT ALL a behavioral case, we would not have pulled her.  She has been a PERFECT ANGEL since her time being a mom was over and she has shown herself to have a lovely and gentle temperament ever since she has been in our care. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and free of parasites Her foster dad says this about her “She’s great around all sizes of dogs if they are nice to herShe likes chew treats to get her 'chew' out  Loves to fetch and loves her squeaky tennis balls. She will have accidents if not taken out regularly (or allowed to go outside) but she has improved SO much in such a short time that we believe she may have never lived indoors previous to this and is now learning the ropes.  If you follow her cues, she is 100%Likes the be around people. You’ll find her relaxed or sleeping in the room with you always.OK on a leash but want to lead most of the time, we are working on 'heel' -- she was good for the car ride to transport her to us from the shelter.“ If you are interested in adopting this pet, please send an email to beourpet@gmail.com or fill out an application at https://www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php   If you cannot adopt, you can spread this pet around to see more people AND/OR sponsor them by sending a donation in their name:   www.paypal.me/uoh Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue Zelle beourpet@gmail.com   GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so but needs reinforcement Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Unknown Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: No regular adoption fee applies Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 10 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet.  Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.   We thank Well Pet Vet Clinic for providing most of our veterinary services and give a special thanks to volunteer photographers Tanya, Barbara, Kristy, Christine, Teressa and Natalie.  We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  September 26, 2023, 11:30 pm

Story
Say hello to the cutest little cowgirl in the West! Annabel (or Annie) is guesstimated to be around 6 weeks old with DNA tests pending for breed, but we know she is 100% PUPPY LOVE! Her foster family says she is an absolute sweetheart and great with the children and other dogs in the home. She has not been cat tested but has been around livestock and rabbits and has done great with all of them.Annabel had a bit of a rough start when she was dumped in the parking lot of a Walmart in rural Nevada at around 4.5 weeks old, but her luck changed when a CalPaws adopter advocated for her and she was brought into the rescue officially and became a CalPaws girl!!!This adorable little girl has been socialized and loved on and will be ready for her forever home at 8 weeks old. She would make an amazing family dog, but as with any puppy, she will need patient adopters that are willing to commit to training and continued socialization. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and if you are interested in adding this amazing little pup to your family, please fill out an adoption application. She can’t wait to meet you! Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHPP, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm each dog and chip. Lastly, we spay or neuter each of our dogs. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering ##1809910##
