Meet Fuerza — a name that means “strength,” though this gentle girl shows that softness can be just as strong. With her tender heart and calm spirit, Fuerza is the kind of companion who brings comfort just by being near. Story
Note - Clover is currently in the Bay Area (Oakland), even though our rescue is based in Los Angeles. We can arrange local introduction and placement. Since my last so-called family dumped me on Christmas Eve 2022, I have been getting myself some extra help to make myself more desirable for humans. Let me tell you, it was not easy since I can be a little anxious and stubborn at the same time, but I am a good and willing student who also likes to please. So, here's the new me: I know my commands. I love going for walks. I love working out on the treadmill or running along with your bike. I enjoy getting to know other dogs but prefer a slow introduction. I can stay in my crate when you need to leave for errands but I'm not gonna lie — I'm still happiest when I can be right next to you. After all, we dogs are made to be man's or woman's best friend, and that is definitely who I want to be for you. If you are interested in meeting Clover, please email us or download the Adoption Questionnaire and email it back to info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321.

Story
Lily is an active, full-throttle kind of girl! Grab life by the horns and run with it... or grab a big stick rather ! She LOVES running and chasing sticks, the bigger the better!!l She is super confident, a bit bossy, and selective about the company she keeps. Lily isn't a social butterfly, she would love a home with a couple active adults who don't have a ton of social activity in the home. She will protect, and maybe get possessive if allowed, so best to keep some boundaries with her! Smart, athletic girl who needs dog savvy folks with a yard and time to provide lots of love, play time (big sticks!) and ongoing training and stimulation. She doesn't love crowds, so no dog parks for Lily. Experienced dog-savvy applicants ONLY. Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioral issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioral "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.

Story
Check out a video of Kai here! https://youtube.com/shorts/4h6c2AO3pFo?feature=share Who can resist those ears?! And you're sure to be charmed by the silly little grin Kai makes when she wants to play. She's super friendly with other dogs and people and happily greets them with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. She's very affectionate with people and other dogs. She's currently living with two other dogs, a husky and a smaller dog, with whom she plays constantly. When she's chilling-out, one of her favorite pastimes is lying in the backyard watching the rascally squirrels chatter and tease her as well as watching the three little boys next door play in their yard. She peeks over the fence regularly to check if they're outside. Kai is very receptive to direction, has mastered "sit" and a few other commands. She's fully house trained, rides well in the car, her recall is great, and she is eager to please. Kai is a cheerfully energetic girl but also likes to relax outside or nap by your feet. She truly is a ray of sunshine! Kai adores going on walks. She would love to help get or keep her human in shape! Whether you want to take her for a run or just get your steps in, Kai is all the motivation you need to live your most healthy and active life. Kai is smart and, as mentioned above, has been partially trained so she just needs a patient adopter to finish her education. Kai would do well with adults, teens, and kids 6 or older, but no cats. She would also do well with a job to do, e.g. guarding a house from pesky unwanted animals in the yard. This is a wonderful dog waiting for you to discover her! *Kai's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor*

Pt. Richmond, CA

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tony is a sweet, handsome, goofy, and energetic lovebug! He wants nothing more than to play with his people and other dogs. He seems completely unbothered by the loss of one of his front legs, this boy is ready for action and love! Tony has been a longterm resident, coming to Milo in February of 2025, injured, alone and afraid. He was quickly given the care that he needed, receiving a pricey leg amputation to diminish his paid. Despite the traumas that Tony went through, that we will never know and can probably never imaging, Tony keeps his tail held high not giving up on finding his fuever family. Tony sees every person and dog as a friend and potential playmate. He has learned how to navigate the world with his new body and to walk on a leash with good manners, he is getting really good at "sit". He is also quickly learning that his crate is a happy place and does very well once inside and loves a good chewy toy or treat. Tony would be best in a home with a person/people who will nurture him with lots of love, exercise and continued training; he so badly wants to show that he's the goodest three-legged boy ever! He is extremely food motivated so training should be fun and effective. Tony has endless potential and is ready to show the world that tripods rule! Apply today to meet this wonderful boy!
