Story
Ivy (1 year, 6 months) is a sweet, affectionate girl who truly loves everyone she meets. She can be a little shy and timid at first, but once she warms up, her loving and goofy personality really shines. She does have some separation anxiety that will need patience and consistency, but she is crate trained and sees her crate as a safe, comforting space when you’re away. Ivy would do best in a home with a securely enclosed yard where she can run and burn off her energy, and even have a sibling to play with. She’s great with cats and grew up alongside four of them, so she’s very comfortable in a multi-pet home. This decision hasn’t been easy. I’m moving across the country, and the transition would be very stressful for her, likely worsening her anxiety. With my current schedule, I’m also not able to give her the time and attention she truly deserves. My priority is finding her a home where she can thrive and be as happy as possible. She will come with all her supplies I have.

NEED TO REHOME 5 YR. OLD AUSTRIALIAN CATTLE DOG/ RED HEELER ASAP! Just got out of difficult relationship. Red is still with Ex in apartment. She has 3 kids and CANNOT care for this dog. Where I've moved he's not allowed and finding him a new home/family is our only option. His name is Red, he's fixed, fully vaccinated, good with Kids, other dogs & cats. He needs room to run, a fenced in yard would be ideal, NO apartments. LOVES to play with balls but will destroy them. Crate trained & will go in with out a fight but will bark to be let free. Will come with crate, supplies and toys. Red is very strong & is a RUNNER but I believe with proper training & exercise this will improve. He would make a great family farm dog. I clicked special needs b/c I can't trim his nails and he's not great in a car for long periods of time, otherwise no issues.

Story
Hi! I’m Riddle!I’m a 2 -year-old, medium-sized Australian Cattle Mix with a big heart and aneven bigger personality.Three words my friends use to describe me: shy at first, playful, and a protector. My energy level is high, and my favorite way to spend the day is running freely!I Love: Cheese Walks and runs To be next to youI go absolutely bananas for cheddar crunchies, and I’m pretty sure cheese is thebest thing ever.Home Life:I am house trained and do well when I am reminded to not mark my territoryinside. At the end of the day, you’ll usually find me on my bed with my pillow andblankets.Social Skills: Dogs: Loves playing with dogs! Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown New people: Scare me still and I will need time to learn everyone.I do best with 1 person at a time to help me feel safe and confident.Training & Manners:I know sit, paw and lay down and am learning how to leave it.On leash, I am doing well, occasionally I will pull but improve every day.Ideal Foster or Forever Home:My dream home would have enough space for me to run around, like abackyard.I’d love a family who give me time to show who I am and doesn’t mind taking itslow with me to show me I can trust them. Why Foster or Adopt Me?Because I bring love, laughter, and energy wherever I go.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who hears every small noise and would liketo watch me run around, I’m your dog!Ready to Meet Me?I can’t wait to meet my foster or forever family—could that be you? ##2580679##

Story
Meet Ladybug 🐞Ladybug is a 6-year-old red Heeler with a story that has left her heart a little broken. Her beloved human became ill, went into acute care, and sadly passed away. During that time, Ladybug was left alone at home for nearly two months, with only brief visits for food. By the time she came to us, she was living in fear and survival mode. At her lowest point, we couldn’t safely touch her.So, we slowed down. Two dedicated staff members began sitting quietly outside her kennel each day—no pressure, no expectations—just calm, steady presence. For three weeks, they simply existed alongside her, offering patience, consistency, and silent companionship. And slowly… Ladybug began to trust again.Eventually, she allowed them to enter her space. Then came a collar. A leash. And finally, a walk outside to feel the fresh air again.Ladybug has made wonderful strides in recent weeks. She is becoming more comfortable being handled by shelter staff, and the circle of people she trusts continues to grow, with more staff now able to safely work with her. She can go in and out of her kennel, enjoy walks, and even accept affection. While Ladybug is making great progress, healing is not always linear. Some days she may regress a little or be more unpredictable as she continues to adjust. She needs a patient, understanding person who will give her the time and grace she needs to keep building confidence. We know finding the right home for Ladybug won’t be easy. But we also know she deserves it.She is looking for a very special person—someone compassionate, steady, and willing to meet her exactly where she is: scared, unsure, and still learning that the world can be safe again. With time, we believe she can become the loving, loyal companion she once was.The shelter is also very open to a foster-to-adopt situation so Ladybug can decompress outside of the shelter and show you who she truly is in a home environment. Once she’s out of the chaos, her loving and loyal side really comes through. If you have the heart and patience to give Ladybug the second chance she deserves, please reach out to Pam at the shelter.Let’s help Ladybug find her way home.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Please follow the instructions on each pet profile.
